Chapter 20 - Rania (2)

"Fucking bastard."

Aldy ran very fast after the man. Their distance is getting closer. Realizing Aldy's speed, he dropped the clothes basket and several mannequins, hoping to stop Aldy from chasing him.

The man had managed to get out of the store and was trying to avoid Aldy's pursuit.

At first, he felt that the trick he did had worked. However, unexpectedly Aldy was right behind him.

While still running, Aldy jumped and delivered a hard kick, sending the man in the brown jacket flying several meters and lying on the floor.

Visitors to the shopping center who witnessed it immediately walked away to see there was a commotion going on.

Aldy walked over to the person. Without a word, Aldy immediately sat on his body and grabbed the cellphone in his jacket pocket. Luckily, the phone's screen was unlocked. And the first thing Aldy saw was a video. A video in which Maureen was seen changing her clothes. Judging from the shooting angle, the place corresponds to the position of the male shirt that Aldy found earlier. It looks like the guy hid his cell phone there and recorded Maureen unnoticed.

Aldy threw his cellphone in any direction, which was immediately picked up by one of the mall visitors. A girl who happened to be around there. Seeing what was shown on the screen, she already knew what she had to do. She immediately contacted the department store's security.

But before the mall security officers arrived, Aldy, whose anger was running high, decided to beat the man in the brown jacket who had recorded his sister changing clothes, at least close to dying.

Duakkk!~ …

Bamm!~ ... Bamm!~ ... Bamm!~ ...

While he sat on the person's body, Aldy landed punches from his left and right hands alternately towards that man's face.

What Aldy did was too brutal, but he didn't care.

Duakkk!~ …

He just kept beating the guy.

Seeing how brutal Aldy was, the woman who received the phone walked over to him. Aldy pulled his fist back again, ready to land another hit, but someone grabbed his hand.

Aldy turned around, trying to find out who it was who dared to stop his fists and found a woman he seemed to have seen before.

"Enough! If you continue, he could die," she said without showing the slightest fear to him.

Aldy looked at the woman's face for a moment until he remembered where he had seen her.

That woman is Rania. The woman he met at the birthday party at that time.

The mall security guard came and also Maureen.

Rania still held Aldy's hand until finally, Aldy left the pathetic person's body, who seemed to have lost consciousness due to Aldy's repeated attacks.

The mall security guard checked his condition and realized that he was only pretending to be unconscious. "Sir, wake up." the security guy turned around. "What is this?"

Rania handed over a cell phone containing a recording of Maureen changing clothes. "This person recorded a girl changing clothes in the fitting room. And my friend beat him until he fainted."

Aldy immediately grabbed the phone from Rania's hand.

"Why?"

"The one in this video is my sister. If you want to show this video to other people, I will beat you too," he said to Rania. "I'll leave this to the police myself."

The dying person realized that Aldy was no longer attacking him and was distracted by the mall security. He wanted to take the opportunity to run. But Aldy realized it.

Bamm!~ ...

Aldy stomped very hard on the man's shins, and a loud 'crack' sound indicated that his shins were really crushed.

"Where the fuck are you going, you goddamn trash?"

"Hey, you really want to go to jail?" asked the security guy.

"Sure. Put me in the same cell as this bastard, and I'll be happy," replied Aldy.

Rania shook her head, giving in to Aldy's stubbornness. He took the phone back from Aldy's hand and handed it to the mall security guard but with the screen locked. "Sir, I'll leave this matter to you, okay? Let me take care of this friend of mine."

"What do you mean?" Aldy asked, not accepting Rania's treatment.

"Just shut up. I know the security guard. We can trust him."

Aldy set his sights on the mall security guard. "If you peek at the video, then I will pluck your eyes out!"

Rania dragged Aldy away. When he felt far enough, he just let go of Aldy's arm.

"Are you crazy?" Rania asked. "If you didn't hold yourself back, did you really want to kill him? Do you want to live as a murderer?"

Maureen, who saw the whole incident, immediately ran to Aldy. She lunged at Aldy and hugged him tightly while burying her face in his chest.

Maureen was crying, and it interrupted Rania's lecture to Aldy.

"Aldy ..."

Maureen cried as she continued to hug Aldy tightly. Rania, who had wanted to lecture Aldy, could only cross her arms in front of her chest and relented.

Aldy rubbed Maureen's head, trying to calm Maureen's crying. When he felt he had calmed down, Aldy moved Maureen's body and lowered his head to align their faces. "Stop crying. I'm fine."

Maureen shook her head, "Because of me, you are like this."

"It's not your fault, but that bastard was."

"But--"

"Just stop, please? Sorry for worrying you," said Aldy, then brought his face closer to Maureen, gently kissed Maureen's forehead, and brought Maureen back into his arms.

Rania can see it. The woman had no idea that someone who was too brutal like Aldy when he was fighting could be this gentle and loving to his sister.

But if you look closely, their faces don't look the same as a pair of brother and sister. Although both are equally charming, still, there is no resemblance.

Now Maureen has calmed down and released her arms from Aldy's body. Aldy rubbed Maureen's head and turned his gaze to Rania. "Thanks for holding me back."

"Don't mind it. Is it your sister?"

"Yeah. Maureen … By the way, who are you?"

Rania's eyes widened at Aldy's question. "Huh? You don't remember me?"

"I remember you but never knew your name."

"O-oh yeah, I also forgot that we've never met each other. I'm Rania."

"Aldy," replied Aldy, who just wanted to grab Rania's hand, but it was thwarted by Maureen, who first welcomed Rania's outstretched hand.

"I'm Maureen, Aldy's sister," Maureen said while shaking Rania's hand.

"Huh? Oh, yes. Nice to meet you, Maureen."

Maureen turned around and hugged Aldy's arm. "Accompany me to pay my groceries at the cashier earlier."

"You haven't paid for it yet?" asked Aldy, who got a nod from Maureen.

"If that so," said Aldy, turning to Rania. "Then I'll see you later."

Rania only responded with a slight nod, and Aldy immediately left with Maureen.

Rania was still staring at Aldy's back which was getting farther and farther away. In her mind, somehow, Aldy's treatment was so sweet to his sister, Maureen. And it warmed her heart.

Realizing that Aldy was getting farther away, Rania shook her head as if she had just woken up from her daydream.

A Daydream about a man, who seemed to be lodged in her mind for a while.

About Aldy.

About a brutal man who loves his sister so much.

From the beginning of their meeting at the birthday party, Rania was already interested in Aldy. And after their second meeting, Rania felt something that she had never felt before.

Anxiety made her unable to remove the image of Aldy from her mind.

Unknowingly, Rania had fallen in love with Aldy, even though she had only met him twice.

In just those two brief encounters.

Two brief encounters that meant a lot to her.
