Marsel, Edwin, and Zico walked in through the front door. The three of them were amazed by the scene they were witnessing right now.
How could they not be amazed? Aldy's personality really does not reflect that he is the son of a conglomerate who has a house like a palace like this.
Yes, the three of them were invited by Aldy to the house.
Although Caius Ballad High School is an elite school that contains children from people who are quite wealthy and strong in terms of finances, Aldy has never imagined.
Even Marsel, Aldy's closest friend from the first grade, initially thought Aldy was a scholarship recipient. Maybe no. Because Aldy had a motorbike that could exceed one billion after the modification.
The three of them didn't expect Aldy to have a house as grand as this, with a garage containing a collection of expensive cars that were quite difficult to get.
"Hey, get up here," said Aldy, who was holding a can of cold beer in his hand standing on the outskirts of the second floor, looking at the three of them downstairs.
Edwin, Marsel, and Zico climbed the stairs and were in front of Aldy. "Isn't it hard to find the address?"
"This is your house?" Marsel asked while Edwin and Zico were busy looking around.
"Yeah, why?"
"It's okay. I didn't think it would be this fancy."
Aldy didn't answer and turned around. He walked straight to his room, followed by Marsel, Edwin, and Zico.
Zico was the only person who rolled his eyes when he saw the contents of Aldy's room. "What the-- you have your own gaming room too? I've always asked my father to make me a gaming room, but he never did."
Aldy sat on the only sofa in the room. The sofa that he made a bed as well. Put the can of cold beer on the table. "Gaming room, your ass. It is my bedroom."
"Well, where's the bed? Where did you sleep?" Zico continued to babble while Marsel was already sitting in a gamer's chair in front of the PC, while Edwin chose to open the small refrigerator in the corner of the room to get a cold beer can.
Marsel cast his gaze under the computer desk. "As I thought, your PC must be expensive. You rich bastard."
Aldy took out a pack of cigarettes and burned one on his lips. He turned on the fan that was in the funnel on the roof of his room so that air circulation flowed out of the house so that the room would not be filled with cigarette smoke. "Just shut the fuck up."
Edwin opened the beer can and took a sip. "So, what do you want us to do by calling us here?"
Aldy turned on a large TV that was located on the table, which kept the PS4 in it. Pictures of Maureen's room design that was appeared there.
"I want to ask you all to help me design Maureen's room. Next week she will be able to get out of the hospital."
"Uh, yeah," Zico interrupted. "Maureen is the girl I saw at the hospital, right? That's your sister? How old is she now? Who knows, we could become very close friends."
Aldy's eyes changed suddenly. Edwin and Marshall could see it. It was the look in Aldy's eyes when he was on the battlefield. "If you have funny thoughts about Maureen—"
"I can help you with the furniture." cut Edwin quickly, making Aldy realize and immediately remove those eyes full of killing intent on Zico. Marshall, who saw that, was relieved. "Actually, you can just call me if it's a problem like this. There's no need to invite these two idiots."
Aldy exhaled cigarette smoke from his breath. "It's okay. I also wanted to invite you to the house."
Marsel turned on Aldy's computer while Zico had rushed to the front of the PS 4.
While Marsel and Zico were busy playing, Aldy stood up and walked out of the room. Edwin, who saw it, followed Aldy's footsteps. The two of them entered a room that was completely empty, the room closest to Aldy's. Maureen's room they were planning to redecorate.
"Thanks."
Edwin turned. "For what? The furniture? Take it easy. My family does run a furniture company."
"No. For the earlier," said Aldy, who made a serious look on Edwin's face. "I don't know why. If there's anything wrong with Maureen, it's hard for me to contain myself."
Edwin nodded in agreement. "I was shocked too. You yourself know that Zico always saying unuseful shit. But why do you have such a reaction? I can understand that you love your little sister very much."
"No … you don't understand."
Edwin frowned at what Aldy said. "What is it that I don't understand then?"
"I also don't know why I feel this way with my own sister."
"Dy. Don't tell me … You can't--"
"I'm not his real brother. Heri isn't even my real father. I'm an adopted child, and I was adopted from a place that everyone wants to stay away from the most."
"The place everyone wants to stay away from the most?"
Aldy took a sip of cold beer from the can he was holding in his right hand. "From a fucking jail."
Hearing Aldy's words, Edwin just nodded his head, understanding the situation that was being experienced by Aldy. And Edwin tried not to be too curious about Aldy's past life, out of respect for him. Not because Edwin was afraid or reluctant with Aldy.
Aldy turned to look at Edwin. "Do you think I can be a good brother to Maureen?"
Edwin put one hand on Aldy's shoulder and smiled. "Actually, it's not my style to say this. But, I'm sure you can do it. Even though I know how brutal you are when you're on the battlefield, I also know that you're not an idiot."
Edwin continued, "I know that you are not the kind of person who will disappoint those who already believe in you. In this case, your new family."
Aldy smiled at Edwin's words. "I guess if I said thank you again, you'll start to sick of it."
"Yeah. No need to say thank you anymore. I'm just expressing what's in my head. You're the only person I respect at school, even though you're my junior. I'm sure being a big brother isn't a problem for you. "
Aldy and Edwin did not realize that Marsel and Zico were watching them from the front door. And Zico made a gesture as if he wanted to throw up.
Marsel looked at Zico with a strange look. "What's wrong with you?"
"I want to throw up hearing their conversation. Huweeekkk!~..."
Aldy squeezed the beer can in his hand until it crumbled. "You two-- ... " Aldy said. He turned his head to reveal a look in his eyes that looked like he wanted to kill someone. "So you guys are tired of living?"
Without warning, Aldy had already dashed towards Marsel and Zico.
"Don't try to run, bastards!"
Edwin, who saw this, just stood where he was, laughing out loud. However, it came back to his mind.
Edwin took the last gulp in his beer can then smiled a wide smile. "He was adopted from prison? Interesting."
