To be or not to be?
That is the question.
Adilita was left alone in King's throne room by the queen. Strange as it might sound but that was both a great trust and also a great show of power. Adilita's current experience was not privy to making these kind of deductions. Her world remained as simplified perspective on discovering her maker, even her choices were following that path, in that she would not understand how much more the world acted as a force against. She was saved to stay innocence enough to merely need to wonder about her single goal. The power that played against her was simply be comparible to the force needed to squat a mosquito. A mosquito itself remained as harmless until it bit and only if it escaped with its life could it be considered a persistent annoyance.
However, Adilta's eye saw more than just a room as she turned to face the throne. The andriod's innocence drew her pathway to do something a mosquito should never do l, which is evolve past all odds, all races, and even beyond class to transcendence of a singular being. No woman; newly born or old hag; could resist and being a few days old meant her innocent curiosity was no difference. Such was the fate of Adilita anyways had circumstances not robbed her of meeting her maker. The android girl was moved to take seat of the throne and gaze down on the passages and bear it's weight and presence with the hall itself. Inwardly she could feel that the very stones were here, that every runecarved stone corner were a piece of her presence her. If anything was done then it was done on her vigilance and anything that may have been said would echo throughout the crevices of the city. Even down the hall she could see a window and through that window she could see the city below give birth to part of her countenance. Adilita need not utter a word, nor she need fear and she sat frozen there for at least a third of the morning. If anyone saw and someone did; Eliza had seen through her day; who would dare speak of such an offensive thing? The seat of power was a woman's life and a woman's place and the queen would not bother the android though in all rights her actions were treason. No one touches the throne!
It was a mystery more that no theatrics occurred for Adilita but little did she knew she'd activated the key of the throne. Even invisible to the andriod, the Sigils of the throne played a role of her emotions. It played the mystery of what caught her there because the same materials that powered her existence embued the mighty chair. The resounding feeling that made her experience what it would be rule with others under her servos came from the power in the throne. It however never felt right completely to Adilita.
It was then that the mystery came alive as the final hour of the resonance lifted from her. The thought of ruling went to wayside when she began to see puzzle pieces together. She felt like another world had simply slipped over her eyes. From the transformation of newfound awareness, she had evolved from a single mosquito to an ancient power. She began to wonder, 'Why did the throne seem to have viens running so deep into the lands? What gave the feeling of Gies of compulsory rule? Why do I fit here so well?' Fueled by the resonance and mystery she took out the stone. At once the Sigils were devoured by her mystery crystal jewel. The life of power sucked right out of her the key of the throne. What she now saw could be described as a hallucination as a grew maw appeared with perfect ivory fangs lungung through her. The intensity of caused her to cover herself in a guard. The stone flew across the grounds to slide across the exquisite masonry for a floor. Only after the image of the silently roaring beast fade from sight did Adilita's reaction turn to a new emotion. It was anger at being made to defend herself but as she looked back across the room she saw someone.
Eliza gently leaned over and picked up the blue crystal in her hands then gazed nonchalantly at Adilita sitting on the throne. The power to want to rule had been devoured by the phantom beast from the stone. All the greatness within Adilita no longer rested there. If Adilita even had thought thereafter to take the kingdom, the very power itself had become lost to her. She missed her chance and didn't even know it which why Eliza looked at the girl knowingly. The curious object in her hand held great power and after being witness to it, she held a firm understanding.
"The king was a complicated man." Eliza said with a sort of crisp air that made one desire to smack their lips to express punctuate the clarity of her words. Adilita although stripped of all royal grace yet had to move from her seat. The queen acted in equal regard to the girl who sat on the throne as a powerful self realized individual. "I'm not sure where you can find his son." She remarked while leaving many what if questions unanswerable by her choice to ignore necessary causality. Adilita met the gaze of the queen who stood there watching as she heard the soft concern in her voice. "I understand a little more now. What he did was supposed to be necessary. " Adilita's voice broke across the chamber. The room seemed to be specifically designed to carry sound from where she stood. It was a girlish emotion that made her lean to set her elbows on her knees. "Just who was he?"
Adilita couldn't know because no matter how many logs she had inside her memory banks, she began to understand how outdated they were. Eliza stepped up by Adilita's side and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. She gently offered the jewel back to Adilita. "The question is, what is he to you?"
"He's like a father." Adilita answered from her heart without knowing it to be the closest to the truth she may come to know. Eliza surprised Adilita even more than when she'd appeared by not acting offended at her seating choice. The queen handed a small journal that she'd spent valuable time searching for the answer to Adilita's question. It was a diary that had been hidden by spells inside a desk located in the king's study. Adilita's pondering prevented her from.being there to descover it herself but Eliza did and shared the book. Adilita took it and saw many notes on the gestation of dragons and even though her knowledge was limited, it seemed to be familiar enough in writing that she understood what Eliza had just done.
Adilita jumped and hugged Eliza in a happy embrace. With the stone and the illusionarh phantom beast she understood the relevance of the king's diary. "You found it! You found the origin of the king's son!" She cried and smothered Eliza's cheeks with her own embrace. The older woman blushed at the closeness and laughed her bells of joy for Adilita who eventually let go of her impulsive hug on Eliza.
"You're telling me that the king had a dragon as a son?" Eliza asked but the sheer proximity of the android's existence made her excited that she knew much more. "No, he had two sons! One is a Leviathan and the other a dragon shifter." Adilita responded enthusiastically. Seeing the notes explained to Adilita that a creature had been used to create dragons. It was shown that the life of an egg was altered specially as well but only by a life sample of some sort. "Dragons might be strong but there aren't that many. Not even the one in Tsuki Tundra leaves it's territory and that's an old legend. For some, dragons don't even exist so where did he have sons and with whom?"
Adilita's eyes moved from the journal to the crystal and smiled. "Before I searched for the King's son, I had met a man who told me a story when he gave me this." Reigning what the android meat, Eliza picked the details clean with her intuition faster than a Captian Von Lizpants cleaned meat off bones. "You have a piece of his son's power source that was used to create the dragons.
You're going to find the King's son for answers."
Adilita nodded after Eliza spoke then said, "You don't seem like you know what you're doing." Eliza pointed out the obvious with a hand gesture since Adilita had returned back to sitting on the throne. "You're going to need some help figuring this one out." Adilita thought about it and began to appreciate the Queen's sense of understanding. "Come with me and forget about sitting there." Eliza said and swiftly departed the throne room, making Adilita follow shortly thereafter. The Queen appeared less like a royal here than a friend now as Adilita placed her trust in her hands. Where the pair went was a surprise as the queen detoured down narrow halls towards a large room. It's devour matched both Eliza's heritage and her tastes which gave Adilita and idea who this place belonged to. No. Adilita knew not yet of small civilized liberties but the moment she stepped into the moment she was introduced to it. The awe in Adilita's cheeks and bouncing hair as she spectators everything there put Eliza into a good mood. Although Adilita had begun to believe that she was being whisked away to meet an informant of the queen, this was not true for Eliza's good hearted nature.
Men, who lived like apes could not have guessed what happened next and even the civilized ones would have avoided this. Adilita received a measuring tape by the queen and now very silent handmaidens. It was embarrassing for the queen to have her guest appear in drab! Even if Adilita's hologram took care of appearing in clothes, the girl's choice had nothing to do with modern tastes. "First, remove whatever power you have that you used to create your clothing." Eliza ordered as her maidens prepared to turn the android into an adventuring princess. Yes, in some city states it was true that the stereotypes of women existed and their roles. Somehow the fukitalls medicine cured Anadoria of that disease over two thousand years ago to allow people to decide who they were. Adilita began to feel the ebbing feminism from the queen but the kindness Eliza shared her made her feel welcome in royalty. Adilita was about to be more pampered than a princess.
Adilita removed her disguise to display a now nearly humanoid appearance to be inspected. The shell of her body made of different alloys and her core lighting blue. Eliza only now realized that calling Adilita a golem failed her. Golems were somewhat sentient and revolved around gears, engineering, and crystal to create a sentence of life. Adilita's eyes were even like soft tissue and watery in the corners. "You're not a golem. What are you?" Adilita touched her model number above her core. "I am mark 1 android. According to the files, there were five of us." It was actually touching the surface of Adilita's network to know this information without having to spend time learning it. Yes, new experiences added to it but Adilita's maturity varied in that department from what she was and how much existential aware she had. No, she could not know everything but it meant that even Adilita's knowledge came from necessary growth. Eliza had actually brought Adilita enough experience that it enhanced her self awareness. Still, the words were said more like a program than Adilita's identity in order to answer the queen.
The maids continued preparing linen, clothe, and durable fashionwear while Eliza followed suit to ask the next question. "What do you mean five?" A maid selected from the Queen's selection a pair of gloves to which she approved of but used a bit of magic to modify the crest to suit Adilita. A set of electrified gears wove themselves by pulling apart the strings of the Queen's symbol into a process. The handmaidens then dressed Adilita with the gloves and continued on with their work during the talk. "I awoke a few days ago." Adilita could now remember the laboratory clearly. The assistive system pulled up the video log of her experience to replace the memory while Adilita spoke. It was inside Adilita's complexly engineering mind. "The place I was at was old and I don't have much detail about why I was made. I was given a mission to find my maker but I am the only survivor of that place. The rest..." Adilita's words faded as she revisited the visual of the shock touching the prototype. The memory file closed before the present version could become alarmed again by the experience.
Eliza nodded as a few more dresses refitted for Adilita. The quick working handmaidens ensured that they placed the electrified cog as part of the fashion into her clothes. Adilita enjoyed the attention now and tested a few of her combat features to make sure that the opening of compartments were included. They fitted her with different styles and even clothes like a pirate's top and brown tight fitted pants.
"I can assume that because you're the survivor, your siblings never awoke." Eliza said. She continued to adjust Adilita's hair. The android had hair without clear explination if the mystery of how. What served as Adilita's skin appeared both a hard matter and a flexible one. "Whoever made you, they knew what they were doing." Eliza stated after finishing the decorative ornaments in the hair. Adilita felt her system surge at the compliment and the embarrassment grew as well as the kindness she received. "You are one amazing piece of work." Eliza said as she came to understand much better the situation for Eliza. When the clothes were finished, the queen packed them into a ring and placed it on Adilita's pinky. It readjusted to fit snug against her polyplaster skin.
"My first loot." Adilita said and thanked her friend.
The attire Adilita was given was a white frilly top, with integrated bands around the arms to make it stand out royally., then a vest with it's matching petticoat. The dress was unique that worked to be split pants in case Adilita needed to fight. There were many other mentionables to her appearance that marked her as royal but they were all about intricately ornate finery woven proudly into the clothes. The shoes were fine boots made from rare monster skin that accented Adilita's feminine body well. Slippers or heels were off the menu and saved into the ring with more ball-like dresses.
She inspected herself, even the camoflouged skin didn't do justice compared to how she looked right now. It was almost like Eliza made sure Adilita wouldn't need to when the clothes made her appear well classed, she made the choice not to activate her skin. She looked better revealingbwhat she was rather than fitting into things. "How's the fukitall?"
"What?"
"Fukitall medicine."
"Huh?"
Eliza nudged the mirror more and chirped, "When someone learns to be who they are with fear of being judged, we call that fukitall. You look splended and ready to meet someone." Adilita smiled in wonder as to what this trip meant to her. Anadoria held more wonders in Adilita's mind now that she embraced her identity with Eliza's actions to teach her how to be what she was at a hundred percent.
