Chapter 4 - The Witch Hunters 3 Walls and Skulls

We are two unemployed boys in Africa.

We don't like school but we despise hunger even more.

I told Clark that our best option was to apply for school and live off of the student loan.

He refused with a detestable grin on his face.

Nothing that comes out of his mouth at times like these made sense and was safe for normal people to do.

Clark suggested we go into the arts industry.

"You can draw and write, I can promote these works. From my perspective we were born to win."

He argued.

"Fine."

I surrendered.

A month into our search and grind we were still on gear 1.

Clark had a tough time finding the guy and promoting my creations as he travelled across countries.

One thing he didn't lack though, was money.

Where did this man get all of this money from?

I was never told.

When Clark wasn't around, I had to rely on my other friends like Wayne and Theo.

Theo also surprised me by quitting med school.

Things went well for him.

"Is there something I'm not being told?"

I pondered.

Shortly after I decided to put my work on hold and research myself.

First thing's first.

Clark's mother.

I needed to see her one more time.

One, to ask about her son and two to confirm the aura of darkness I kept picking up from her.

It was an eerie crawling dance frantically inside my brain and heart.

Basically it was as if all my organs were going to fail me at any second.

Each step I took outside the Clark residence felt like it was pushing me towards the ground, finally a voice reached out to me.

Upon gazing upon it I realized one of Clark's younger step brothers. He came rushing over to me to help.

"Jorja, Jorja." in a frisky and shaking voice he called. He must have been tired, after all playing ball was all they knew.

"Oh hey,"damn it. I had forgotten his name. Not wanting to seem weird because he just stared at me without rest. Panting, louder and louder like a puppy.

I gave him my hand to help me up.

He left very quickly after letting me into the house.

None of the family members were currently present, so I made myself comfy in the nearest sofa to the front door.

It seemed a bit different from when I first saw it, the most interesting thing being the picture of the cow skull in front of me.

At first it looked just like a normal antique, but that when I first noticed it.

Now every time I turn my eyes on it seems to get bigger and nearer.

'Maybe I'm just tired.'

I thought, after hypothesizing that it was getting bigger because of looking away, I tried to stare at it for a long time.

But that didn't help, it only triggered a tingling sensation which sent me into a deep sleep.
