As soon as I was released from my father's all too loving presence, I collapsed on my bed totally exhausted. This time, on the carriage ride home, not only was I nauseous from the ride, I also grew nauseous from his constant admiration.
I couldn't wait to go to school to avoid him tomorrow. I never thought I would be so excited to go to that hellish place, but at least there would be no one constantly fighting for my attention.
Just like always, the same maid came into my room and shook me awake. I slapped her hands and hid myself under the blankets. Per our routine, she dragged me out of the bed not caring what I destroyed on the way. She began to dress me.
I noticed that she intended on changing me into one of the dresses my father had bought me. It was a vibrant pink dress with white frills. That is definitely not my style.
"Uhm. Not that one please Miss Lona."
"Oh? Which one then?"
"I'd prefer one of the older ones."
"Unfortunately, I cannot do this for you little Miss. Your father specifically asked you be dressed in one of the ones he purchased for you."
Ugh. That d*mned man is at it again so early in the morning. I want to cry.
"Why do you look so upset? I think it suits you perfectly."
Critical damage done to Seri's pride. Maid Lona wins.
After defeating me and my pride, she dressed me quickly and then begun working on my hair. I watched the ends of my hair flip out with disgust. No matter what she ever did, my hair would still behave this way. I hated it.
After finishing, I walked downstairs for breakfast and was surprised to see my father waiting at the table. Usually I eat alone every morning.
I sat down eyeing him, "Father. Why do I-"
"Daddy."
"What?"
"Daddy." He corrected motioning to himself.
Oh my god. Are you a child?!
I forced a smile, "Daddy. Why do I have the honor of eating with you this morning?"
"Why?" He paused as if he never even thought about it, "I want to spend as much time with my adorable little girl."
Uck. I'm going to throw up again.
"You look so cute in that dress! I bet I will have to fight off all the boys when I drop you off at school today."
Fight off the boys? What boys? I'm only 5 you old man.
Wait. What did he just say?!
I choked and smacked my chest, "I'm sorry. Did you say when you drop me off at school?!"
"Yes! I'm going to be accompanying my little princess to school today."
NOOO! ANYTHING BUT THAT! I looked over to Lona with big puppy dog eyes. Please Lona. Don't let that crazy man take me. I can't handle that.
Lona smiled, "The little Miss looks thrilled to have you take her."
Lona! You're one cold a** b*tch!
My head smacked the table in defeat. Why is this world so cruel?!
My father beamed, "She is?! Of course she is! She loves her daddy after all."
No. I love my energy that you seem to drain so easily.
That day I was reminded I was still a child who couldn't make her own choices. As my father accompanied me, I contemplated jumping out of the carriage while it was moving. Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten over my motion sickness so I was unable to grab the door. One day I will conquer the carriage rides.
Once we arrived my father helped me out of the carriage. I smiled at him, "Thank you for accompanying me today, Daddy. You may go now."
Yes. Shoo shoo.
"Go? But I want to see your classroom."
What?! No! Shoo I said! SHOO!
He led me into the building never once releasing my hand. I tugged on my hand with all my strength, but he wouldn't give up. Curse this tiny weak body.
When we walked into the door, I met a familiar face. I never thought I'd be so relieved to see William. He stared at us clearly surprised by the situation.
My father nodded at him, "Prince William. What an honor to see you again."
He nodded quickly wiping the surprise off of his face, "Yes. It's an honor to see you again also Lord Kane." He bowed politely and my father bowed back.
"You are always so polite. Your family raised you well."
"Thank you."
I stuck my tongue out at William who glared at me.
"Oh! I heard that my daughter is so smart that she could even compete with you. Is that true?"
Wait. What are you doing you lolicon?! Have you gone crazy?!
Williams face twitched and he smiled flawlessly, "It is true that your daughter is very advanced for her age. I'm not sure if she could compete with me however. She is younger after all."
Hey you little bastard. Just who do you think you're talking about?!
My father smiled back, "Nonsense. I'm sure if you were to teach her it once, then she would get it immediately."
Heh. Yeah. That's right. I flipped my hair. I am pretty smart. Aren't I?
William noticed my smug expression, "Well. Even so, she is sure to struggle with more advanced subjects."
My father gave a chuckle that made me shiver. "Is that so? I guess we will have to see about that."
Why am I being dragged into this pissing match? Also, what are you even fighting over?! This is getting ridiculous.
I tugged on my father, "Daddy. I need to go to class now. You can leave."
Yes. Please leave before you embarrass me further. I can feel William laughing at me internally for saying Daddy. Ugh. I don't like it either!
My father smiled down at me, "Yes, Darling. Oh." He looked at William, "By the way, why are you waiting by the door, Prince William?"
Ack! No! Don't answer that! I looked at William and shook my head quickly with pleading eyes. Please don't tell him!
William noticed this and smiled.
Uhoh. I have a bad feeling about this.
"Well. I usually wait for Seri to arrive."
"Why?"
Noooo!
"She usually tries to play hooky. You didn't know this? I usually have to chase her down and drag her to class."
"Oh?"
I hung my head. What did I do to deserve this? I peeked up at my father. His face changed into that cold terrifying expression. EEK!
"So. You're saying that. My daughter. Runs away from you? And you chase her?"
Wait. Why does this sound strange?
William was also confused, "Um. Yes, but no-"
My father erupted, "You dare chase my daughter?!"
Both me and William froze. This man was just as handsome as he was scary! If I don't do anything, we'll both be dead! Time to turn up the cuteness!
I tugged at my father and he turned to me. I stuck out my lip and made it tremble. I forced tears into my eyes. "Daddy. Don't be angry. Pwease? You're scaring me."
"No... Don't tell me..."
What? Why is he shaking?
He bent down to me and shook me by my shoulders, "You like being chased by him?!"
Father! What conclusions are you reaching in your head?!
"No! I-"
"I can't believe it! My daughter has been seduced by an evil man!"
E-evil?!
"Daughter. You can't trust men. They only want to use you and leave you."
I can't believe I'm hearing this from you. Don't you have a mistress?
His eyes began to water, "You absolutely can't trust princes! They are the worst!"
I pushed him away in irritation, "Daddy. You are misunderstanding something. I don't like William and he doesn't like me!"
"But then why does he chase you-"
I quickly interrupted, "No! It's not like that. He only does that because he takes his duty as a student much too seriously."
Really. He's too serious. I would never like someone this serious. It's too boring.
I continued, "Besides, he has a fiance and they love each other very much. William is always talking about how great she is."
William tried to speak, "What? No I-"
I interrupted quickly, "You should see them together, Daddy! They look so cute!"
He finally released me and stood up, fixing his clothes. He smiled, "Well that's a relief."
I sighed. "Can I please go to class now?"
Wow. I never thought I would ever say that.
My father just smiled at me like nothing had just happened. "Alright. Let's go."
As we passed William, I turned around and saw his fuming face. I winked at him and smiled dubiously. For some reason, I just like pissing him off.
Once we arrived in class my happiness quickly faded. Everyone watched as I was escorted in by my father. Ugh. I feel like such a child.
"Alright. Give your daddy a kiss goodbye."
F*CK that! Nope! No! Noooo!
I struggled in his embrace trying to avoid his kisses. I quickly slipped out and rushed to my seat. I sat glaring at his dumba** handsome looking face. I will have my revenge.
He stood talking to my teacher. Millie elbowed me. I looked at her still feeling irritated.
"You must be really happy your Father brought you today."
"Millie. Do I look happy?"
She just stared at me, "Yes."
I'm certain now that Millie is blind. Ugh. I need to think of something else. I pulled out a notebook and began to scribble down a plan.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm just brainstorming." That's right. I need to stay focused on my goal. I need to figure out how to blackmail Dante.
