I frantically scribbled while ignoring the lesson. I was so engrossed in my writing, I didn't even notice the whispers around me. I had bigger things to be concerned about rather than children's gossip.
I needed to find dirt on Dante. I thought this would be an easy task since I have read the book. Unfortunately, the book takes place 10 years from now. Dante certainly isn't a good person even now as a kid, but he didn't do anything noteworthy for a few more years.
Should I just make something up? Perhaps I could start a rumor. Or maybe force him into a compromising situation and threaten him with it? You know, it does seem kind of fun to do the last idea.
Alright, operation take down Dante. First, I need to figure out his habits and then I can exploit them. Before long he will be at my feet begging for mercy.
Heh. What a nice image.
I could make him believe that the girls changing room is actually the men's. Then he will walk in and all the girls will scream! He would be considered a pervert. Heh. He would be so crushed to know that his reputation that he worked so hard to build could be easily destroyed.
I wonder if he'll cry. Oh, I bet he'll cry. Ah! I'm getting so excited! Wait, what was my original goal again? Didn't I want to join something?
That's right! I wanted to become a knight. Although, I can't really remember what made me want to join that so badly, but I'm sure it was important. I will remember later.
For now, I must put my plan into action. To destroy your prey, you must become them.
As soon as the class was dismissed, I rushed out of the room. I've always had this weird innate ability to hide and remain undetected in order to find out something important. Some people called it a skill. I just call it luck.
However, the key to hiding is to hide in plain sight. In this case, I just had to hide behind the fan girls who were screaming at William and Dante. Those two always made it a point to avoid looking at these girls.
Heh. These girls are the perfect camouflage.
William and Dante approached Millie. William looked around as if looking for something. Dante noticed this and smiled, "What is Prince William looking for? Did you lose something?"
"What? No. I'm not looking for anything."
"Mhm. Sure." Dante turned his attention to Millie, "Millie. Where is Seri today? Is she out sick?"
Millie spoke, "No. She came today with her father. I don't know where she ran off to. As soon as class was dismissed she disappeared."
William snickered, "Maybe she just missed her 'Daddy' so much."
I glared at William. He is talking about me behind my back?! Not only that, but I can feel him laughing at me. Whenever I look at that smug face, I just really want to smack it off of his face.
After they grabbed their meals, they sat at the same table as usual. I was already prepared for this, and hid in a bush nearby. Although the bush had thorns, I didn't mind. This is war after all.
William looked around, "Is she really not coming to eat lunch today? She must be eating somewhere. She loves food so much there is no way she would miss lunch."
Now I want to punch him even more.
"I didn't think you would miss her so much." Dante grinned at the flustered William.
"I don't miss her!"
Millie added, "Prince William. I thought you would be happy since she always steals your cake."
"Tch. Perhaps it is a good thing she's not here. She is going to get fat eating all of that cake." William sat back pouting.
Oi! You were the one who said you didn't like sweet things! I was helping you out!
I bit my lip in irritation. Ugh. I want to hurt him so badly. My goal was to destroy Dante, but now I'm just getting really pissed off at William.
I bet this was Dante's plan all along. I bet he knows I am trying to get dirt on him and he's purposely tricking me into giving up by getting William to piss me off. Jokes on you, I never give up.
Dante shivered and looked around. For some reason he had a bad feeling. He shrugged and continued to eat completely unaware of the girl in bush behind him plotting against him.
After they finished, they went to the library following their same routine. I stealthily followed them. Once they were in the library I bit my finger deep in thought. How can I spy on them now? They would surely find me if I hide behind a bookshelf.
I glanced to the top of the bookshelf and smiled. All of the bookshelves were connected and the tops of them provided more than enough cover.
I climbed the side of the bookshelf and plopped myself over on the top. Good thing these were so sturdy. I crawled along the top and followed them. I paused when I heard a voice.
William spoke to Millie and Dante, "I am just going to find a book. I will join you shortly."
I froze as I heard him rummaging for books on the very shelf I was on top of. Did he figure me out somehow?! But I've made sure to be very careful!
"Eek!"
I furrowed my eyebrows. Did I just hear a little girl squeal? It was so quiet. Maybe I misheard. I glanced over the side and saw William shaking and staring at something.
Why is he looking at that book with such a frightened expression? I looked closer and noticed a spider crawling on the book.
Is he afraid of a spider?
He quickly dropped the book as if it was lava. The slam echoed.
"Are you alright?" Dante shouted.
Wow. Isn't he a galiant knight. Always at his master's heels.
"I just dropped a book." William answered. He stepped over the book refusing to touch it.
Hmm. Now I'm a bit curious. I shuffled along the bookcase following William. After he found a book, he returned back to the table. He sat with Millie and Dante. All they did now was look at books and be studious.
I stifled a yawn. This is boring. I looked over and noticed a spider crawling towards me. I reached my hand out and let it crawl on me.
I never understood why people were so terrified of bugs. You should easily smash them. What makes them so scary?
I glanced down at William and smiled. Hehe. Perhaps I should test something out.
I took my hand and blew the spider off. It glided through the air and landed perfectly on the book in front of William.
"EEK!" He let out a high pitched squeal and jumped back falling over himself.
"Pfft!" I covered my mouth. Ah! He looked so stupid just now!
Dante looked at him, "Are you alright?"
William attempted to smile, "Ah, I'm fine. It was just a sneeze."
A sneeze?! What kind of excuse was that??
"AHAHAHA! A SNEEZE! A SNEEZE HE SAID!" Unable to stop myself from laughing any longer, I was holding my sides gasping for air.
William looked up and frowned, "What are you doing up there?!"
Oh sh*t! I forgot I was hiding. I smiled down at them guiltily.
Millie gasped, "Seri! You could get hurt!
I giggled and tried to speak, "It's not that high up." I looked down, "Even if I were to fall, I wouldn't break anything. See?" I hopped down and stuck the landing. I held my hands up, "Tada!" Yes! Now praise my athleticism!
Dante frowned, "Are you crazy? You could have gotten hurt!"
I frowned. Why are they so angry? The rope I toss out my window is a lot higher from the ground than this.
"Why are you all upset? The height doesn't matter as much, just how you land."
Dante sighed, "Do you always overestimate yourself?"
I stared at him suspiciously. Why is he pretending to be so caring? I bet he would love to see my writhing in pain. That pervert.
Dante's face twitched, "Why do you always look at me like that?"
"Hmm? Like what?"
"Like you're disgusted."
Well that's because I am. I smiled, "I don't know what you mean."
"Whatever. Can you at least explain why you look like you've been crawling on the ground?"
I looked down and noticed I was scraped up and covered in dirt and leaves. I smiled at him, "I came here like this?"
Dante frowned clearly not appreciating my answer. William finally stood back up and brushed off the dust on his clothes. "It doesn't matter. It's time to get back to class anyway."
"What?"
NOOO! HOW COULD I MAKE SUCH A GRAVE ERROR! F*'ck!
William frowned at me, "Why do you look so upset?"
"I forgot to eat lunch!"
Is this the end for me?!
