Alex P.O.V
I Jolted awake noticing myself in an unknown room, in an unknown bed.
I got up and looked around the room.
"Hello?" I summoned a protective aura around me.
I heard soft, dark whispers.
I began to shake as they sent chills throughout my entire body.
I took a step towards the door making sure to check behind me.
I quickly bolted out the door and into the hallway where the floorboard under me made a large creak.
The whispers came back louder. I choked down a gulp as I continued to creep down the hall.
As I neared the stairs at the end the entire hallway went pitch black and when I blinked I was back in the room I previously woke up in.
I frantically went to the window and opened it. The Sun was out and I saw farmland. When I went to go out the window it appeared the whole world went dark again and I was back in the same spot. I sat down on the bed feeling defeated. I knew I was getting out of here.
Suddenly a lady came in with a tray of tea and food.
"W-where am I?"
"Don't worry, you're safe."
"Where am I?" I said a bit louder and more confident.
She sighed.
"You're on my farm." She said blankly.
"How did I get here?" I said a little more calmly.
"I saved you from the Pash ka ni."
"The what?" I said puzzled.
"The Pash ka ni, they're a secret organization of exiled Angels and Demons. Their minds are corrupt with revenge."
"Revenge on what?"
"Me."
I gulped.
"What did you do, and who are you?
"My name is Sanel, and I exiled them by taking away their wings."
"W-why?"
She chuckled.
"I don't like Angels or Demons, but you sir are different."
"What are you talking about?" I timidly responded.
"Come with me." She said sweetly as she gestured for me to follow her.
I followed her down the hall but this time I didn't hear the whispers and when I got to the end the room didn't fill with darkness.
We walked down the stairs.
I didn't feel as scared now, somehow my curiosity overcame my fear, but don't be wrong, it's still there.
When we got down the stairs a man was sitting on the couch watching a football game. He looked to be in his 50's.
"Here honey, take a seat so we can talk."
I sat down across from her.
"While I was walking through the shadow realm I came across theĀ Pash Ka Ni carrying an unconscious prisoner." She sighed.
"I sensed you had great importance to them so I laid waste to them and brought you here, but I was unsure of who you were, or what you're capable of so I put you in the prison upstairs."
I took a second to breathe.
"Thank you for saving me... but I need to get back to my boyfriend and my friends."
She sighed.
"I can't let you leave yet until I help you unlock your new power. The Pash Ka Ni will hunt you down."
"I don't think ill ever remember that name, can we call them the PKN?"
"Of course, but for now let me see your hand."
I held out my hand and she grabbed it placing he index finger in the middle of it. It made me semi uncomfortable.
She muttered something and suddenly green light came out of my hand spiralling up with her finger.
She looked closer at it before allowing it to return into me.
"Just as I thought..."
"What?"
"Your child, have the ability to give them back what they lost. You have the lost powers of healing."
I raised my eyebrow at her.
"This power gives you to ability to restore anyone, you can even bring people back to life but that's not all... you can even bring the souls of the fallen back from the shadow realm and restore them."
Ok so this lady just told me I have the ultimate power to heal people including summon the dead from the shadow realm and bring them back to life...
I started laughing, she had to be kidding but when I looked back up at her face she looked at me in disapproval.
"Are you serious???" I blurted out as she nodded.
I'm going crazy, I must be dead. She did not just say I have the ultimate lost powers of healing.
I got up and began to walk to the door but suddenly the world went dark again and I was back in the chair.
I sighed.
"Alright, Ill unlock these powers but afterwards you are letting me go right?" She nodded.
Alright I can do this.
She pulled out a small chest with cards in it.
"I want you to choose the card that best describes the feeling I list."
Alright, easy enough.
She laid out 3 cards in front of me. One was of a woman crying over a casket, the other was of a Demonic Spider, and the third was of a broken heart.
"Pick which one instills the most fear."
I wasn't afraid of spiders but the broken heart and the casket had me thinking.
I honestly don't think I know what I want to answer, because if I associate Axel with those cards both those entail that I would lose Axel.
"I-I can't decide..."
She nodded taking away the spider card.
"A broken heart entails losing the bond you share with somebody whilst the other details somebody leaving this world. If you think about death its misunderstood. The reason people see darkness first is because they journey through the shadow realm before passing to judgement. But what if I told you that the shadow realm is also keeping an exact copy of each soul that passes through it."
I nodded before picked the broken heart.
"Now, I want you to think about a lost soul and think about it in the shadow realm."
I thought for a moment... I closed my eyes and pictured my grandmother.
As I did I felt my body fill with energy before suddenly being released. I opened my eyes and looked at it as it started to form the shape of a person and before I knew it my grandmother appeared in front of me.
"Grandma???"
She smiled.
"Alex!"
I got up and went over to her hugging her. I felt tears begin to escape as I dug my face into her shoulder and began sobbing.
She comforted me.
"So you finally discovered your hidden powers."
I smiled wiping the tears from my eyes.
"Everything is going according to the plan now. The prophecy has been set in motion. Thank you, Margaret, you are excused now." The lady got up and so did the man watching tv as they went up the stairs out of sight.
"What prophecy?"
"I'll explain after honey but for now let's have some tea and I want to hear about your life."
