With my current Observation skill level, which was now 7 from observing all enemies we fought, I was able to see the stats of stronger monsters. And this thing was strong.

A defense of 1050? But then again, it was made out of rock. So it made sense.

The ground started to shake and rumble as the Magmata slowly emerged from the ground. It was five meters tall and looked completely solid. Magma flowed over its rocky body like veins, giving it an eerie reddish-orange glow. It had no face or eyes, but as it slowly turned to us we could feel its gaze piercing into our souls.

Slowly but surely it raised its arm, preparing to strike. "We need to attack the deposit that's on its body," I said, referring to the large black shining stone that protruded from its lower back. "It's weak to explosion magic, ice attacks, and blunt objects."

"Then that mean-"

"Yep," I interrupted Han. "We're useless in this fight." That's right. Han and I couldn't do anything. I have a sword and can't use magic while Han has an ax and the only magic he can do is buff magic, which consists mostly of body strengthening and other similar things.

That meant this fight was all up to Sora and Rubellia, as much as I hate to leave it to them. It's not because I don't trust them, it's because I don't want girls doing all the fighting. And that's not sexism, it's just how a male thinks.

"It's up to you girls," I said as I sat down and crossed my legs. Han stared at me with a vexed look, like he couldn't believe I actually wasn't going to do anything.

Well believe it.

"This should be fun," Sora had enthusiasm in her voice as she loaded an arrow into her bow. Once she drew it back it glowed blue and ice surrounded the tip.

The arrow was sent lose from the bow and it flew at the Magmata, hitting it's body. With a sizzling crack, the magma that surrounded its body cooled and hardened. It froze in place, giving Rubellia an opening.

She ran up behind it and started an incantation. "Oh Mother of Flames, heed thy call and grant me the power to shoot at thy enemies and blow their body to pieces, Missile Blast!" As she finished her incantation, several missile shaped projectiles flew at the Magmata, some hit its body, others its arms. Only two made contact with the deposit on its back, but it dealt enough damage to make it collapse and fall to the ground with a loud boom. I watched, mesmerized at the two girls movements. They both moved so fluently, like they had no weight.

"It's over!" Sora ran at the Magmata and used its body as a foundation to step on and leap to get some air. She twisted upside down and pulled an arrow, loading it and taking aim. Fire started to surround the tip of the arrow, but it soon started to spark. What she created was an explosive arrow, and it flew through the air, making contact with the ore deposit. With a loud crack it broke, and the Magmata's body fell apart.

I clapped in congratulations. "Good job," I stood up and dusted myself off as I began walking towards them. "You two handled that extremely well." One of my hands rested on each of their heads. "Now let's grab the ore."

We packed the ore into our backpacks and went on our way. I made the decision to stop at the guild hall before heading to Nartuca Village and turn in the quests. Since they were all collecting quests we had a large amount of space being taken up. We gave the materials to Ezra and she marked our quests as completed and gave us the rewards. We had already gotten the EXP, but she had to give us the gold.

By the way, she still didn't like me. I always found her giving me a rather mean gaze, one that read "Just die already!" If only there was something I could do. Alas, there wasn't. So, instead, I quickly made my way out of there, along with my party as we headed to Nartuca Village.

The village was the same as when we had left, no surprise. The Elven race was always one of culture. No matter how much time passed, they would never change. I respected that. They were staying true to themselves and to the ones before them.

Just like last time, we were greeted. But this time we were being treated like heroes. What's with that? It was kind of annoying, all the attention.

I waved weakly if they called to me, other than that I continued on my way to Luisham's residence, following the flowery path.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by him.

"Welcome back! I heard that y'all completed the Gilmesh dungeon."

"Already?" I asked, annoyance clearly in my voice.

I was happy, don't get me wrong. My party and I were the first to ever complete a dungeon, and as a gamer I was happy. But as a shut-in, I wasn't. If the Elves already heard of it, then others would have to. Elves are a little more informed, so they knew sooner than most, but once they knew, everyone would know. And that brings attention.

A shiver ran through my body at the thought.

"Don't sound so down," He stood up and clapped his hands. Soon after the room was flooded with Elves, all female. My eyes boggled at them and their beauty. Luisham noticed and smirked. "You see an interest in Elves, boy?" The sudden question made me jump.

"Huh? O-Oh, yeah. Y'alls race has always been the most mesmerizing. Y'alls beauty far outshines that on any others, and your long lives do nothing to affect those looks." The words slipped out of my mouth. I didn't mean to go that far, I just meant to say "Oh, yeah," but I had a slip of the tongue.

"Oh, I see," he nodded his head in agreement. "That's good to know."

"I-I see..." The burning gazes were staring at my head and I gulped, I knew who those gazes were coming from. "A-anyway," I took action to change the subject. "Why are all these Elves here?" The gazes vanished and I sighed internally.

"Ah, I almost forgot. We never got to truly thank you for saving our town from those Goblins, so I want to take this chance to thank you properly and show our gratitude," he and the other Elves bowed.

"Y-you don't have to do that," Sora waved her hands pathetically in front of her chest.

"But we wish to. Those goblins could have stormed our village and killed many of us, and even taken some of our females as.....," he fell silent. My tongue clicked in annoyance. Not at him, but the goblins.

It made me sick, hearing the things goblins would do to poor, innocent girls. My fists clenched at the thought and I gritted my teeth. Now that I think about it, they might have done that with Sora and Rubellia had I not showed up when I had.

"I'm glad we could help," Han broke the silence. "Any time you need us, give us a call. Our party will gladly complete any quests or favors you ask of us." He got on one knee and put his fist to his chest, causing Luisham to smile softly.

"I appreciate it, and I will gladly take you up on that offer."

"Cool, well, we're here to help with the slime problem," I interrupted the heart felt moment, if that's what it even was.

"...I thought I requested that to be canceled," he tilted his head.

"...What?" My eyebrow twitched.

"I requested the quest to be canceled. They were taken care of by my daughter, there weren't as many as we had assumed."

"Daughter?" Rubellia interjected. "You have a daughter?"

"Yes, and you've all met her, too." He smiled. "And you," he looked at me. "Made a promise with her."

Promise? I don't remember making any pro—wait...
