[Shelly's POV]
How could she open the door without using any keys?!
"Perhaps magic?" A familiar voice stated.
I stood up and saw Maid Lhea. I can still remember that short black hair of hers and that frozen smile plastered in her face.
"Magic? Such things exist in this world?" I asked.
Lhea nodded and started sweeping the kitchen floor out of nowhere. I blinked in confusion after seeing the broom in her hands. Just howwww?
"So, could you... I mean since I'm your master. Escort me to the bathroom." I tried to sound like Aunt Yurara, placing both of my hands on my hips.
"Oh, sure thing." Lhea replied after a giggle.
"Is she always this happy?" I mumbled to myself as I follow her.
[Lhea's POV]
Oh my, oh my~ Shelly-chan sure is cute. I hope I could talk to her a little longer so I could warn her soon enough.
After leading Shelly to the bathroom I asked her if she needs help in taking off her clothes. I did not expect her to blush in front of me out of embarrassment. I mean, I'm also a girl and there is really no malice in that.
"You could leave now." Shelly ordered me with a shove.
I remained silent but I was a little disappointed, I wanted to tell her something. But whenever I try to talk about that stuff... this stupid lips of mine curves into a sweet smile. I can't warn her!
"Master, you should really eat less. You're getting fatter." I stated. I hope I could relay a message by saying those words.
"WHAT?! ME FAT?!" Shelly shouted in anger, her ears turned red, cheeks puffing.
No! Master, that is not what I mean! I wanted to tell you that Yurara has been putting stuff on your food and in your drinks.
I did not expect Shelly to spray me with water coming from the shower. My instinct told me to dodge every drop of water. Sadly, I think I overdid it. Shelly was left with her jaw wide open upon seeing how quick I can dodge.
"What the heck?! Lhea what are you?" She asked me.
I gulped and ran out of the bathroom, closing the door afterwards. I tried to catch my breath, I was not suppose to do that. I just got used in dodging things... like droplets of water, dust in the air and bullets.
[Shelly's POV]
"I think...she got wet. Yes, she did. I did not see her dash quickly to the left and posing like some secret agent after that." I told myself.
I grabbed the Lavender soap from the table and started soaping my body quickly to get rid of the thoughts. After that I turned on the shower, lying down while thinking about weird things, like magic. I remained in that position for at least 20 minutes until the bathtub was full.
"No way. It did not happen." I soon concluded as I rise up and leave the bathtub.
I took my favorite yellow elephant-patterned towel from the rack and started drying myself. I opened the door, expecting Maid Lhea to be waiting for me outside. And of course, I did not see this one coming.
"I wab you...but it's not like I love you, love you... you know like master and maid but still love you, love you." A girl with short light blue hair, the one with ocean blue eyes suddenly said after I step out of the bathroom.
"....." I am speechless. "I'm sorry, what? And who are you please?" I asked in confusion.
"My name is Hori, I'm the youngest maid here. Pleased to meet you~ I mean, tch ...sup Master Shelly, did you enjoy your bath?" She said and looks at me with adoration or annoyance. I cannot tell.
Okay, I know that sounded vain but her eyes are twinkling and her cheeks are red!
"Oh, Hi...did you just confess to your Master that you love her?" I asked, not wanting to assume anything.
"EH?....Anone...HAI! AISHTERU SHELLY-SAMA! I mean, BAKA... BAKA!" She did say it again.
I suppose that was my cue to leave and so I tilted my head and when she smiled I ran towards my bedroom. I hurriedly lock the door, throwing the keys into the laundry basket. I feel so confused, though I know I should not be affected for the girl is just a kid and even younger than me.
"Gotta change clothes...gotta find clothes." I told myself.
I grabbed my underwear and bra from the box under my bed and decided to wear a sleeveless shirt decorated with stars and a black skirt with red ribbon in the middle.
"Hello Master, I do not mean to intrude. Not really, but do you mind letting me borrow two of your undies?" A maid with short dandelion hair, golden eyes and smug face said while sitting on my bed.
I gasped.
"WH-WHAT'S WITH THIS SUDDEN APPEARANCES?" I backed off and tried opening the door to escape the room but no to avail.
My keys! It's in the laundry~
"Look'ng for diz?" The dandelion-haired maid asked me with a smirk.
Is this real?! The key is floating in front of me and a bunch of colorful black vines appeared from behind her. Gems of various colors started growing creating a chime-like sound, she has wings made of crystals, like a living chandelier! Wait, earlier she doesn't have those with her. My thoughts went topsy-turvy.
"M'ster, don't freak out. I just needed to borr'w some undies of yours!" She stated, making her crystal vines move around me.
Why is this happening? I just wanted to take a bath...and I just wanted to get out of this place. I do hate being alone but these ghostly maids, they could be the reason for my death! I think my body is feeling heavy again.
[Yona's POV]
-The Basement-
Half an hour has already passed and our Master brat Shelly has not woken up yet. Sighing, I gave Hori and Miki a serious glare. This is not the plan but I think the result was much better.
"You overdid it, girls." I told them.
"I'm sorry 'bout that, l'dy~" Miki said with a Scottish accent.
"Yona-nee-chan, why do you have to order me to say that 'I love you'. It was so embarrassing!" Hori protested, her cheeks flushed red.
"It's not like you don't want to say it." I told Miki.
"Nee~ I bet Hori r'ally w'nted to say it." Miki said teasing Hori.
I was about to scold them again about overdoing it when Lhea emerged from upstairs.
"I'm sorry for the mess I did." She stated then bowed in front of us three.
Hori and Miki ran towards Lhea hugging her, they giggled and laughed.
"See Lhea? They don't mind running errands for me. Shelly passing out means she could just assume everything was a dream." I said trying to assure Lhea that everything is fine now.
She sat on a stool and stared at the mirror. Here she goes again, she is making me worried whenever she do that. I gestured Miki and Hori to start cleaning the garden, they have their ways of going outside without using the main door.
After the girls left, I walked towards Lhea and patted her shoulders.
"Hey, don't overthink about it. Soon, Master would just consider it a normal thing. You see...we have been hiding from her for years and us appearing before her seems alright. She even talked to us. Apologized for hitting you~ Okay, that one was funny really."
She lifted her arm and stopped me from talking.
"I get it Yona. I get it. You are just telling me that it is not my fault." Lhea concluded.
"Right. I was." I said bluntly.
"But you see, I just can't help myself. Dodging, leaping, running, attacking, all those stuff is bringing me to a some kind of trip-down memory lane that I wanted to forget!" Lhea screamed.
"You can't avoid that. Yurara made you like that." I told her while covering my ears when she screamed, it was the truth anyway.
"Made me miserable? Wonderful? And here we are serving her for goodness sake!" She protested punching the mirror hanged on the wall. Yikes, that's another portal broken.
"Enough, Lhea." I said trying to pacify her.
"Yona, just one more question then I'll shut up." Lhea stated while checking her hands that did not even acquire any scratches from the mirror.
I nodded for her to go on.
"Have you ever thought of finding our gems?" She asked a mysterious smile was plastered on her lips.
"Why would I want that?" I replied, unwillingly, my lips answered on its own.
Fuck it, Yurara is taking over my will to speak.
Lhea frowned, her teeth gritted in anger, before turning back into a smile. "Then, so be it. I'll help Shelly leave this place on my own." She stated, and with one blink, she disappeared before me as she enters a passageway located beside her.
"Lhea-, that's... that's not what I wanted to say."
