[ Yona's POV ]
It has been an approximate of two hours ever since Lhea left, and I bet that girl was serious about looking for our master. I plan to run after her after I clean up the shards of glass that scattered on the basement floor, for all the things she could possibly break, it really had to be the mirror portal. That item is important to all of us, it's one of the items that helps us survive the wrath of Yurara, it was one way to cheat her ability to know our locations.
"Uhmm, Yona... I'd hate to break it to yah, but Hori sudd'nly rushed upstairs." Remarked Miki with a worried expression.
"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows, as I walked up to the shorter female in front of me. "Why didn't you stop her? We all knew that before 'that' happens to her, she feels nausea first."
"Hey, don't blame me. I went to my room first, and I saw Hori left when I reached the doorway, but you were too far to hear me." Miki argues before folding her arms underneath her bustling chests. "Not to mention, my curse happ'ns in times like th't." She added before pouting.
"Then take care of these shards, I'd be going after them." I told her.
"Be careful." Miki spoke with a concerning smirk on her face.
Where could they be? I know that the mansion is big enough that you can get lost as if it was a labyrinth, but I was sure I already checked the common places where Master Shelly tends to spend her time at. Something's wrong. If Hori is tracking them down right now, they could be anywhere! I balled my hands into fists, as I was left with no choice but to use my power, however this comes with a price. After all, nothing is free in this world.
I closed my eyes and begins to search for their spiritual energies, Lhea's shines red, Hori shines blue, mine was silver while Miki has yellow. This would be the first time that I would be seeing the color of Master's energy, Yurara have always reminded me to never attempt to do so. I would surely be punished, but I know that this is an emergency.
"The Botanical garden-- Hori's blue light is raging, it must be her curse. Lhea's however... why does it look horn-.." I stopped doing what I was doing, while massaging my forehead, whatever that woman is trying to achieve I should stop her.
Dashing towards the forestry of the ginormous plant chamber, I cared for no plants as I slice through them with precision, I was heading straight to where the chaos is unfolding. I felt the enormous trails of blue spiritual energy, and from a distance I saw large walls of ice that also have terrifying sharp edges. It was like a horror movie with a cryo-like setting, everything was frozen and the temperature had significantly dropped.
"Lhea? Master?" I whispered-shouted, not wanting to attract Hori's attention to my direction, although if that proves inevitable I would have to defend myself.
[Shelly's POV]
Maid Lhea pulled me closer as her arm slithers around my waist, she was still wearing a stoic expression, but what was scarier is the fact that she was not breaking eye contact with me. Don't judge me when I also cannot look away, it just feels different and I have no idea why she was acting like this.
"Lhea? Master?" my eyes began to scan the area, and I saw Maid Yona down on the ground, based on her expression, she seem to be here to look for me and Lhea.
"O-over here!" I responded while waving to her, hoping that she would be able to hear my idiotic plea while standing on a tree branch that was five meters above the ground.
I almost choke on my own saliva when I saw how dark Lhea's expression was the moment I looked back at her, "Yona, great timing." she says to the other maid.
"She's targeting you Lhea." Maid Yona told this girl who was still maintaining our relatively close distance.
"Me?" questioned Maid Lhea, finally releasing my waist, well me in general, although she was still holding my arm, so that I would not fall from where we are. Lhea seemed to have a realization after a few seconds, and she sighs afterwards, before glancing at me apologetically.
"Yona. I assume that you broke the law today too. Whatever then, take her with you." stated Lhea, as if she was hesitating to hand me over to the brunette down below. I also noticed the shift in Maid Lhea's personality, but my assumption ceased when she turned to me this time only to flash her ever-so-innocent smile.
"Hand her over then." Yona remarked.
"Right." came Lhea's response.
I feel stupid simply looking back and forth to the both of them, like the unwanted eavesdropper I am, or like some special parcel ready to be delivered at someone's doorstep. That was how I felt.
Without warning, Lhea carries me effortlessly and then throws me down the from that height, and if that happened to anyone obviously normal they would also scream.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Then poof? The fall seemed so short, as if I was dropped for just three seconds, before I reached the ground. Was the grass really this soft? I opened my eyes, my golden orbs dilating, upon realizing that I was still in mid-air although this time with Maid Yona catching me. What seemed to had happened is that when Lhea threw me, she jumped upwards to cut the period of my descend, thus catching me.
"We need to get you back in your room." Yona uttered in a serious grumble, turning to what I presume is the direction in order to exit the forest.
"What about Lhea?" I asked nervously. I am not even sure myself why I feel worried about the maid that invited me to the forest of doom.
An explosion occurred behind us, and I gasped seeing a glimpse of Lhea and Hori standing in front of one another, although immediately vanishing as if they took their fight somewhere else.
"She can handle her own well-being. She was being rash about--"Yona stopped speaking, giving me a glance, we were still inside the forest but far enough to avoid encountering Maid Hori. She placed me down gently, dusting her hands afterwards.
"Oi, I'm not dirty!" I complained.
"It's just a habit." Yona explained, although that was not very convincing, "so, care to explain why any of you are not normal?"
My breath felt like it was spiked as I saw her hostile gaze back at me. Shelly, how can you be so rude?
"I won't." She soon responded before beginning to continue walking forward, "hurry up already."
I flinched, picking myself up from the ground, was she that offended because of my question? But, her answer though, Yona did not deny that they were not normal but instead told me that she would not explain why they are not normal. Quietly, I followed her while hugging myself, the freezing temperature still lingers in the air after all.
Time quickly flew by and the time we spent walking was worth it when I was finally able to see the lights coming from the large chandelier of the mansion. I laughed in excitement, running past Yona, before twirling around, inhaling the scent of the hallway.
"Yona, thank you for coming." I stated, shifting my body to the right so I could show her how grateful I am, despite the fact that many questions still linger in my head.
But just like back then, she vanished without a trace.
