[ Shelly's POV ]
She vanished, just like the last time, but I know that I have no time to lose. I don't have the leisure to dwindle around when I know that Lhea's life might be in danger in the hands of another maid, and weren't they suppose to be friends? Should I just follow Maid Yona's statement, that I should return to my room?
Come to think of it, they are inhumane, so I am suppose to worry more about myself.
I found myself walking back to my room. In my surprise, Maid Miki, the maid who has vines and crystals as wings on her back was leaning on my locked door. "You're that maid that barged into my room asking for underwear!"
She raised a brow first before standing up properly, "Yah better go inside of your room now missy. I'll be guarding the door." she spoke in her Scottish accent.
"What? That's not important right now! You're friends are killing each other in the botanical area! I bet like them, you're also magical and such." I rattled.
"Killin' each other? They can't do that." Miki laughed and had one of her crystal-vine wings to grab me on my wrist.
"Hey! What are you doing to me?!" I asked as I wriggle my wrist in attempt to free myself.
"They can't explain anythin' to yah even if they want'd to Master Shelly. I suggest we talk inside." smirked this short curly-haired blonde.
"And what makes you think that I'd easily believe you?" I challenged her.
"Mast'r I don't, thus I'm forcing yah." chuckled Maid Miki, pushing the door open and throws me towards my bed. "Now, hear me out, although either way I'll be telling yah a little story."
[Miki's POV]
I still haven't let go of her wrist, but I made sure to loosen its tightness to avoid leaving red marks. Master Shelly is still frowning at me, and I can't help but to simply smirk at her.
"If yah wish, I want'd to talk about the fact that you've mistaken us bein' specters hauntin' this mansion ever since yah came here." I uttered.
"I'm not really interested, after all, those specters are you four right?" she responded in a scornful tone.
I can't help myself but chuckle. She got that right. Now, I need her to pay more attention to me, until the others could settle their matters outside.
"Ever heard of the tale of the Nisshoko no Majo?" her golden orbs twinkled, and that was enough for me to understand that she wants me to continue.
"Nisshoko no Majo? The Eclipse Witch? Of course, my parents always tells me about that story, but they also said that's the sequel to the story Taiyo to Tsuki no Majo or the Sun and Moon Witches." she spoke, excitement written on her face, but she was quick enough to masked it away with a pout, "wait, how did you know about that?"
"Because I used to work under the real Eclipse Witch before yer' aunt." I revealed with a proud smile.
"Stoppp it. No wayyy. It's just a fairytale." came Shelly's reaction as she fans one hand in front of her face.
"It's the truth." I said seriously.
Shelly went silent, as if she was pondering about it. Later on, she began laughing, and I was left to stare at her for who knows how long. Is she mocking me? I can literally show her my connection with the nisshoko no majo only that Yurara would definitely stop me.
"I am so done with all of this. I thought it's cool that I found you, so that you could stop your friends from hurting each other. But what? You pulled me in her just to tell me that you're some...err helper of a fairytale witch? Are you some kind of witch apprentice?" Shelly uttered while waving her arms all over the place.
"No."
"Uhh.. an avid fan of Nisshoko no Majo?" she guessed.
"Yah could say th't." I responded. "Listen Shelly. There was more to the endin' of Nisshoko no Majo, and in fact I heard it was meant to become a Trilogy."
"Impossible. During the last chapter of Nisshoko no Majo, the sister of the Sun witch already made up and the ending was a good one. There's no open ends or loopholes." Shelly argues.
"Remember when the Nisshoko brought the fragments of shades togeth'r?" I began in order to get her more piqued.
"Yes, Nisshoko did it so that her sister would forgive her. I see nothing wrong with that?" she mumbles.
"Except when she did brought them togeth'r, she didn't repair it as a whole." I spoke in a spooky tone without losing my accent, my fingers moving like spider legs.
Master Shelly slaps my hand away, before raising a brow at me. She seems so unconvinced. I guess Lhea was right, I'm not very convincing.
"I asked my Mother and Father to narrate the story to me every night, and I don't remember them mentioning that part." Shelly insists, folding her arms in front of her chests, if there is any.
"Maybe, they just forgot about it." I told her before beginning to stand up.
"Or maybe, yah remembered wrong." Shelly remarks while jokingly flipping her hair behind her. Not to mention she copied my accent there.
I gave her a silent smirk. "Close enough." I started to make my crystal-vine wings vanish by returning it inside my body. "Then would yah mind continuing this conversation the next time yah see me?"
Shelly's smile disappeared. Was she feeling wary, or was she doubting my intentions?
"I don't mind." she finally responded, smiling shyly.
'Urk...' Wait, I think my heart stopped for a second there.
"See yah around then." I said as my farewell, turning around to twist the doorknob to the right, opening the door in adjacently.
"Wait!"
"Your friends! Maid Yona, Hori and Lhea right? Don't you think you should check on them?" Shelly says with evident concern.
'Friends huh?' I thought to myself.
"Oh, would yah look at that? Yah already memorized their names? How about me? Do yah know me?" I jokingly interrogated, closing the door for the moment.
"Uhh... Mehkay?"
I quickly turned around to stop myself from bursting into laughter.
'Why did she pronounce it like tha-- oh. Was it because of my accent?' I inwardly thought.
"H-hey? Is something wrong?" asked Shelly.
Hearing her footsteps nearing, I quickly opened the door and closed it, but remained standing outside her bedroom. "Maid Mehkay! Mehkay!" she repeatedly calls out.
'Oh Lord....'
"Master Shelly. It's not...whatever yer sayin'. It's Mi-ki, both an i's." I explained.
Then there was silence, followed by a mouse-like screaming. I began walking away, walking away with the thought that this particular stubborn master of ours could actually feel embarrassed in front of her maids.
