As the years go by, I slowly start to become more used to my situation. I haven't woken up to the real life in a long time. I mean, it's not like I miss it, but it makes me a little unnerved. What happened to me in the real life? Did I die? Did my body disappear? How long has time passed in real life? I tried not to dwell on it, but it was just always there, looming in the background.
"Rin! Have you woken up yet?" my mom yells down the hall.
I also have started to learn more about this world. Safe to say, it almost feels like a game. There's a class system, there's magic, there's monsters- it almost feels like M*nster H*nter, to be completely honest.
"Yeah mom, just give me a second, I'll be right out!" I said.
[Good morning, user.]
'Morning, system'
I've also become more used to the System's (or at least, that's what I call it) presence, and asked it various things as I grew up. The place I live in right now is located in the country of Altea, in a small town called Vorka. On the outskirts of Vorka lies a forest that is inhabited by several low-level monsters. Many novice adventurers travel here because of it, and thus there are various shops here and there that cater to adventurer's needs, including an Adventurer's Guild.
I walk out into the kitchen and see my mom cooking up some breakfast.

"It smells really good. What are you making, mom?" I said.
"Oh, this? I'm just making some soup with the ingredients your dad got last night" my mom said. "Wanna try it out?"
"Sure" I said.
π΄πͺπ±...π±πͺπ―π¨!
[STA Up!]
"Mmm, this tastes really good, mom!" I said.
"I know, right?" Mom said with a smirk. "Have a seat, Dad's going to be back soon."
I pulled out the chair and climbed on top of it, plopping down. As I waited for my dad to come back home from his day duties as a guard, I fiddled around with my stats.
"Status" I said.
A screen pops up and I'm greeted with a game-like status screen, fitted with a HP/MP/STAMINA bar, a skills tab, an inventory tab, and general information about myself.

'Hmm, it really is like a game, huh...'
As I was thinking this, my dad bursts into the house.
"Gooood morning guys! Having breakfast without me?" he said.
"Not yet." My mom said. "I just finished making the soup. Let's eat together"
My mom sets down three bowls of soup on the table and a couple pieces of bread.
"Alrighty. Let's eat, shall we?" she says.
""Thank you for the meal!"" we all say in unison.
---
After we all finished the meal, it was time for my daily practice. First was sword training with my dad.
"C'mon son, its only 50 more times!" he said.
"Haaa, haaa, haaa, graaah!" I grunted.
Despite being only 5 years old, my dad trained me as if I was a fully grown adult. Quite spartan, to say the least. Even though the sword I was swinging was only made of wood, it was still quite heavy for 5 year old me.
"C'mon, you can do it! Just 10 more swings!" he said.
"Ahhhhh, dad, this is too much! Haaa, haaa." I yelled as I kept on swinging.
"Just 3 more!" he said.
"Agh!"
"2 more!"
"Argh!"
"Just one more!"
"GRAGHHH!" I screamed.
As soon as I swung the last time, I collapsed on the ground.
"Haaa, haaa, haaa." I wheezed.
π±πͺπ―π¨!
[STA increased!]
[STA 0/105]
"You did well, son." My dad said. "Here, have some water"
I took the water and immediately gulped it down.
π¨ππΆπ¨...π¨ππΆπ¨...π¨ππΆπ¨
[STA 30/105]
"Puhaaa, water tastes so good right now" I said, exhausted.
"Right?" Dad smiled. "Here, wipe your sweat off inside, your mother should be just about ready for your magic lesson today."
'My favorite!'
