"Phew, that was refreshing." Masato said. "Man, I'm back here again, huh..."
He looked at the school sign and remembered what Daichi did before.
'I won't let you push me around this time, Daichi...'
Masato walked through the front gate.
"Sup, loser"
Masato turned his head to see Daichi standing in the same spot as before.
"What do you want, Daichi? I'm tired of this shit." Masato said, anger in his voice.
"Whoa there buddy, I just wanted to show you a little something I found hilarious." Daichi said as he held up his phone.
It was the same picture Masato knew all too well.
"Look, man, I don't really care what you have to show me right now. It's 8:15 and I have to get to class." Masato said without taking a look.
"Tch, you're no fun. Keep that up and I'll turn you into the laughing stock of the entire school." Daichi said as he put away his phone.
"Whatever, man. You've done enough damage to me already. You can't break a broken man, you know?" Masato said with a stone-cold expression.
"We'll see about that. You haven't seen the worst yet." Daichi said as he grumbled and walked inside the school.
'Oh I've seen the worst, alright.' Masato thought. 'I don't even want to see his face anymore, it pisses me off too much. I really just want to go back now....at least I can be happy there.'
Masato put his hands into his pockets and walked into the building.

He reached for the plus sign next to VIT and clicked it once.

'Ok....so VIT raises HP. What about INT?'
Masato clicked on INT.
[MP: 35/35]
'So that raises my MP....wait, I just realized. If I have an MP bar, does that mean I can use magic in this world? Is everything still made of mana....?'
"Masato!"
"Yes?!" Masato yelled in surprise.
"Dangit Masato, we're in the middle of class! Stop dozing off and staring into space! Now tell me, what makes up water?" the teacher said.
"Uhhhh, mana?" Masato said nonchalantly.
The entire class erupted into laughter.
".....You better not be joking, boy. We're not in a game, Masato. Now take chemistry seriously or we're going to have a little talk." the teacher said.
"Sorry, Ms. Onuki." Masato said, dropping his head down in embarrassment.
'Oh my god, I must be insane to say that here! I'm getting too used to the other world....' Masato thought.
Meanwhile, a girl with long bangs covering her eyes was staring at Masato.

Math class had just started and Shinichi called out to Masato.
"Hey man! What's going on?" Shinichi asked.
"Not much." Masato said.
"Haha. Man, you're acting awfully cold today aren'cha?" Shinichi said. "Something happen?"
Masato looked at his face and could picture Shinichi smirking as he beat him with a bat.
"Not really. Class is about to start, you should pay attention." Masato said coldly.
".....Alright then, have it your way." Shinichi said as he turned to the board.
Class started.
'Alright, time to finish up allocating my stats.' Masato thought. 'Hmm~ some points there. Ooh yeah, I'll need this up. Oh, maybe some over here.....alright, done!'

Masato looked through his interface.
'Man, I really wish I could see my other stats like defense and physical attack...then it would complete this status page.'
As soon as Masato thought this, a new quest popped up.

[The ping system. It's located in your interface and was added when you woke up. My sincerest apologies if I had not informed you of this earlier, user.]
'You know, that would've been helpful to know, yeah. How does this thing work anyways?'
[It's quite simple, user. All you have to do is click the ping button and a wave should be sent out from your body that will alert you when another user is nearby. Do keep in mind that pinged users will know that they have been located.]
'Wait, why is a function like that in place? So we can be wary of other users?'
[Well, in theory yes. The intended function was to help users out in case of any dangers that might be posed by other...less friendly users. Do keep in mind though that there are only currently two- including you, that have cleared the tutorial phase, and so you shouldn't be worried all too much.]
'Well, I guess I might as well give it a shot then...'
Masato pressed on the 'Ping' button. Masato could feel a wave of energy burst out from his body and a sphere of transparent mana quickly widened from him. Not even a second later, Masato could feel a vibration from his hand and a notification popped up on the bottom right of his screen.
