Aya's POV
Pushing back, away from his warm body, I shook my head as my garnet eyes met his with questions in them. "What do you mean by that exactly, Enikil?" beginning to feel a bit suspicious of his motives for being here.
Reaching out with his fingertips, he brushed my tears away, off of my cheeks. "You are in your hut, and I am in The Vault of the Gods. This is one place where I can be with you." he stepped closer to me, and once again fear to reject ran through me.
As he bent his head to capture my lips, I unsheathed one of the Swords of Balance from my back. In a lightening fast move, I set it to his throat "You have taken enough from me, Enikil. You cannot have that too. Or is this how the previous Guardian died? Refusing you? Maybe that is why the Swords of Balance were left for me. To fend off you!" he had the good grace to turn bright red with embarrassment, before it turned into rage.
