I landed 15 kills just out of the top 12. Having turned in the heads, it is almost time to meet my wife. As I walk into town, I feel the familiar energy of Maldira.
"You almost blew it, boy," Maldira said angrily. "You keep using your power to recklessly. You might just make me proud of you" he tilts his head back and laughs."
"What? You mean you aren't mad?" I questioningly look behind me, only to be punched in the face. "Why did you punch me?" I ball my fist, only to get pushed to the ground by his bloodlust and anger. "You used tier II blade gluttony on a bunch of nobody's. But you accomplished your mission of staying out of Tritan reach and killed all the witnesses who saw you use your power."
"Go meet J.D. she's waiting for you in your room. I suggest you get to her soon or what I did will be merciful." As he said these words, he faded out of my view like a shadow at night. I panic and sprint into the night. Before I opened the door, she pulls inside and thrown on the floor and I see J.D's eyes glint with lust and desire to see her love again. A long sleepless night releasing pent-up tension of months apart and a reunion long awaited. After hours of entangling with the women that thawed my heart of its icy exterior, and pulled my head out of my research of becoming the CEO of my family business. Before her, it was a long road of empty feelings and false joy.
As the sun peaks through the clouds in the morning, I know it is time for me to meet Maldira for my training. As I slip out of bed, kissing my beloved, I cover her and leave. Leaving the hotel, morning dew coated my boots. As I walk, I see Maldira just outside the town. He smirks and waves as I walk up to him "are you ready to feel the genuine pain and strength of the fallen?" he says as he teleported us to a deserted plain.
Today I want to see your meditation technique and your full strength. Today I will make you fight for your life. I stand there and say, "my technique won't be efficient here. There's not enough blood or anger in the mana for the technique to work at full capacity."
"WAIT, you're telling me that your technique really runs on blood and anger!!! Where did you get that technique? What is the name of that technique?" Maldira shot the questions off quickly without a break in between words.
"It's called an abyssal gathering and the Shadow monarch in the inheritance that she left for her next successor gave it to me. I stumbled across it after a dangerous fight with a blizzard leopard and her spiritual guide saved me." I say with tears in my eyes.
Maldira looks at me, eyes gleaming with hope. "So you're the one she Shadow Monarch chose. It seems like my plans need to be pushed up. What do you know of the Rising dawn?"
"What's that?" I ask curiously. "Wasn't that the terrorist organization that caused the fall of a noble family?". He looks at me and says, "Exactly my boy, I see you caught up well in your free time."
As he explained everything to me, he released the first wave of the beast.
