Miss Ryoko's speed was extremely fast and the precision of her swordsmanship was terrifying to the point of literal fear. Each of her movements is fluid and precise. I stepped back and looked at her calm composure and asked, "Are you going to use your sword or just block with your sheath? Please get serious."
The smirk on her face widens. "You want me to be serious when I am fighting a fledgling? Please don't make jokes." As she finishes speaking, she sheathes her weapon and pulls out her Kaikan and mist forms in the arena.
As I look into the mist, trying to see her, I hear Clara's voice in my head. "Finally, I got into your head. You can't fight her like a beast; she is faster and more skilled than you are." Hearing her throw me off, I hadn't heard her since the inheritance. In the moment of distraction, 3 clean cuts appeared on my chest. "Clara, where have you been the last couple of months?" as blood stains my shirt.
Since I can't see, let's see if she can handle me with this skill. Slowly closing my eyes, I feel everything through the vibrations on the floor. None other than tremor sense the skill my master used the pseudo-dragon to prove the point. One cannot rely on one's sight in all fights. The entire world lies bare beneath my feet from miss ryoko's light steps to the bugs beneath the arena.
I drift in the mist, sensing her location through her footwork and the way she attacks through the whistling of the sword with each parry my confidence grew, and the techniques finally materialized, her swings becoming more erratic. She finally stops in awe that she couldn't land a hit on me after not being able to see her or feel her mana. "How do you block and parry with no sight of me or my presence?"
"Miss Ryoko, please stay calm. I can merely feel the vibrations from your steps." I say confidently. My eyes open to see the mist cleared and her sword shining in the light. She rushes forward quickly and filled with rage. Each step between us seemed fleeting. I drew each other in a flurry of sparks and clashing swords.
"You are the only one to last this long in combat, Ezequiel keeper, feel honored to see this move." She jumped back quickly and sheathed her sword as ice formed on the ground, clenching up my legs as my movements dulled rapidly and breath came sparingly. "What did you do? Why is there ice on me?" I asked, stuttering softly.
"This is the Ryoko family style tundra blade, my family has passed this down since the Great awakening, you're the first one of the first ones in this generation to see this move," as she said that she unsheathed her sword and sent one, two, three, four, five slashes and each one sent a shard of ice the size of a Katana.
Each shard sharper and quicker than the last as the first one landed on my chest and the others landed on my joint's movement slowed to a crawl. I thought to myself if I don't use any extra power this will be the end of me, so as a quick decision I activated shadow's embrace void. I have one minute to finish this fight so I rapidly approached Miss Ryoko and sent out 2 jabs and one quick slice of my sword created 3 sword auras.
"This battle is mine," I say as void ends and Miss Ryoko surprised against the auras and my appearance behind her as the warm steel grazes her throat and blood trickles down slightly.
"I surrender," Miss Ryoko says quietly as she fades into light particles. The energy flows into my sword and I fall down cold and injured.
