The room he woke up in only had a single bed, a bedside cabinet with a small lamp on top of it, a window near the bed, and a door. Despite having a window and a lit lamp, the room was rather dark.
"It felt so real and like a dream at the same time." Quillon unintentionally thought out loud."I guess I have nothing to lose even if it really was a dream. I'll stop thinking about it for now." he continued as he opened the door.
The bathroom was right across the room, and the rest of the space had a small table accompanied by a single chair and a kitchen area right beside it. There was a corridor that led to the outside world. Being a professional lazy ass and a procrastinator, he left the exploration of the outside world for some other time.
He returned to the room he woke in and searched the cabinet. There were several paper notes which he guessed was the currency and pocketed it, there was also a card that had a picture of an average-looking man with brown eyes and a sharp jawline and basic information. He went to the bathroom assuming there would be a mirror there.
"At least I look better than I look in the picture and way better than I looked previously." he sighed.
"Arthur Morgan, huh? I had a rather uncommon name back then so I guess it's time to adopt a new name." he continued taking in the new information.
"University of Elementals? Elementals? This better be what I'm imagining." A slight tinge of excitement could be seen in his deep brown eyes.
"Hmm the card says my current body is 17 years old, why am I leaving alone? Maybe an orphan, hopefully since they really wouldn't be my parents and it would be just extra burden."
"On a lighter note, I'm rather excited to explore these new lands. I also need clothes, food, a map, and a part-time job I guess." he thought as he was brimming with motivation and excitement that he had long forgotten he could fee.
He searched for the key for the apartment so that he could keep his nonexistent belongings safe but he couldn't find it.
Confused he headed out of the apartment and found out that the door used a fingerprint lock.
"This world is quite advanced. I was hoping for a less technological world because of the elementals university."
His apartment was in a worn down building in a quiet neighborhood, or at least it was quiet in the afternoon. The buildings looked oddly similar to the buildings in his previous world. The day was bright and beautiful. He took a long breath as he relaxed for a second enjoying the warm breeze.
"I guess this is my new home now. " he stated while lacking the panic that should be present because of his recent death and encounter with the weird voice.
