Chapter 13 - Seclusion Part 1

As Emyrs was flying away from the castle, he asked Enoch to show him a list of his skills. There were too many. Some were useless.

"Breakdown the skills that are useless or repetitive and turn them into data. Synthesise the compatible ones to create better skills or evolved skill. I'll hunt and get you more data."

*****

Emyrs drank the blood of the Mid-level king ranked vampire bat and dropped it's lifeless body on the floor among the other bat corpses.

A list of notifications came in. He was in a deep mountain cave but thanks to his ability to see in the dark, it did not matter.

"This has to count as cannibalism or something." Emyrs muttered to himself. It was the another ordinary day of his seclusion.

[Enoch: Your skills are now available and I believe that the results will be pleasing.]

[Show me.]

A screen appeared before Emyrs.

World skills: [13]

Game skills: [22]

Variant skills: [16]

Unique skills: [14]

Pseudo-Ultimate: [8]

Ultimate skills: [2]

Emyrs slapped his forehead.

"There is nearly eighty abilities here!"

[Enoch: There are seventy-five to be precise.]

[Yes I can see that. But the idea was to reduce the number of skills, Enoch. There are still too many.]

[Enoch: Thirty-five abilities would have remained if you had not been constantly grinding but due to the liberation of new skills and you learning new ones, I had enough information to synthesise new skills.]

It was understandable. Emyrs had wanted to enter seclusion for a year. It had been three now. He realised time passed differently for him. He was immortal and so were his direct subordinates.

His lifespan was not limited. He could grow in seclusion and as long as he did not meet strong enemies he would not drastically decrease his vitality and mana or even suffer from a forced evolution.

He targeted very weak enemies for this purpose. It meant slower growth but he would obtain useful skills. Even monsters here evolved. If he got biological information he could level it up within himself.

Currently some of his skills had also evolved. When they reached level ten they would also evolve but that put too much pressure on him to evolve his skills. This is why he wanted to reduce the number of skills in his arsenal.

[Enoch: Other skills have been turned into natural abilities. The skill [Titan's Body] was able to absorb information from broken down skills and adapt to it.

However the information it can hold has reached its limit. [Titan's Body] would have to evolve to become a larger vessel for information.]

[This is complicated.] Emyrs thought privately.

"Fine. So I assume Pseudo-Ultimate skills are skills that are more powerful than unique skills and less powerful than true Ultimate skills?"

[Enoch: Correct. This is a result of your ability to synthesise. You are quite lucky. I was able to analyse your first Ultimate skill, that is why the synthesis of other skills took so long but the data I gained was invaluable.]

Enoch had a way of praising Emyrs the way a genius would praise an assistant for being moderately useful.

The vampire Lord sighed.

Emyrs checked out his Ultimate skills.

[Despot Supremacy]:

Skill Rank - Ultimate

Suppress those who dare to underestimate you and bring them to heel or death.

- Body exceeds all known limits.

-All stats multiplied by twenty.

- Health and mana multiplied by ten.

- Skills multipled and effects by ten.

- only lasts thirty minutes and has a two thousand year cool down.

- A strong constitution is needed to use this ability. Death may be a result.

Cost: Damage to the body. Nullified healing. Forced hibernation of six thousand years.

Suggestion: Do not use.

Emyrs almost bit his tongue and coughed blood. Almost.

What kind of skill is this? Using it was like suicide. The strain that his body would feel using this skill was not worth it. And it had a forced hibernation of six thousand years!

He was a vampire. He could sit on his hands for eternity and he would still grow stronger gradually but a skill that knocked him out for that long was terrible. How stupid was this?

Was there anything that could make him use such an devastating skill?

He was suspicious of the second skilll but opened it anyway.

[Judgement of Sorros]

Skill Rank - Ultimate

Living armies that defy your will are subject to your judgement.

- All Lower level enemies are put under immense soul pressure. Fear and confusion will reign supreme.

- Body and soul will suffer torment under the effects of this skill.

- Those who fall to this skill will have their souls harvested and used for advancement.

- Those who survive will fall into madness.

Cost: 10 000 mana

"Now this is useful!" Emyrs declared.

Emyrs began to wonder. He had a connection to souls. It had become clear now. He tried to ignore it but he could not do it any longer.

"Souls have an importance to my growth and the growth of that crazy, misty fire."

However Emyrs did not want to deal with the business of souls. Not directly but he didn't have to thanks to [Higher Creation].

Emyrs knew he could grant skills and abilities to his creations even if they were degraded they would still be effective. Thanks to the previous vampire bat and his game skills, he had a useful skill he could grant now too.

A smirk appeared on his face. Checked his mana level and decided it would be enough. He would rest here after the process was complete.

"A new subordinate to do all my dirty work." Emyrs' body began to glow but Emyrs could not stop smiling.
