'I've been in this new environment for a week now... Everything feels so slow. Everyday it's feeding, staring, and baby talk. Well at least the way they speak to me, makes it easier to memorize and comprehend. I haven't seen any other people besides my mother and father yet. I wonder why, I should have at least seen one person by now right? Well we are living in a cave right now... Who knows what is happening. Maybe these people aren't even my parents and I've been kidnapped. That's not really important though. They're kind to me and keep me alive so it doesn't really matter to me... I should stop think about this and practice my body functions!' I thought lifting my arms the best that I can. With great focus I start to slow the random flinging of my limbs. 'I still don't have great control but any control shows progress!!!'
Athelia looked over to Serenity in her crib; watching her attempt to move her arms and legs. "Serenity you're so cute when you focus so hard. I wonder if all babies do this. My Serenity is just so smart." Athelia says fawningly poking Serenity's small hands. "Oh! Is Serenity trying to fumble about again? My little girl is so energetic!!!" Naga laughs loudly as he looks over to the crib from the table. He had been working on crafting necessary items.
"Working on a better crib for Serenity again?" Asked Athelia curiously. "Yep Serenity needs a better crib. I had to make that one on short notice so it's not the best!" Naga says focusing back on his work. "Sadly magic doesn't work in this forest or we could create much more." Athelia replys with a sullen expression. "Yeah... We have to be grateful this forest exists thought. If it didn't we wouldn't have escaped them..." Naga says glancing up at his wife. "...I am extremely grateful that we could escape!!! The beast here are wild though... In the future we will have to be careful to keep Serenity safe." Athelia says looking over to Naga.
'Wonder what they just said. Well I recognized a few words! I'm improving so much so quickly!!! The abilities of babies are scary but helpful at the moment!' Serenity thought listening in on her parents conversation. With a belly full of pride for her accomplishments, Serenity keeps working on controlling her movements.
"I think we should stop talking about this. Our moods might affect little Serenity! I heard that babies are very sensitive to people around them!" Athelia says lifting the corners of her mouth as she looks gently at Serenity. "Your right sweetie! I'll focus on the crib for Serenity! I'll have it done by tomorrow!" Naga says, laughing loudly, smiling as he focuses back on his work.
The cave was much more organized after a week of living here. Naga seemed to have hunted many beast in the area. There was a large pile of corpses, from the animals they had haunted. The stench of blood was strong but they hadn't been there long. They were caught this morning. Naga went out every few days for supplies. Athelia had offered to gather materials in his place but he refused. Naga convinced her because he couldn't take care of me. He couldn't feed me seeing as they didn't have the items for bottle feeding.
'I'm honestly grateful for this new life. Strangely I don't have any sadness or anger from my last life. I'm not happy I died but I feel free... It's like I can start over and put everything behind me. Dying made me feel very different then how I imagined I would. I didn't feel resentful or hate for the world, like I did when I thought to rebel. I just felt empty, it was surreal honestly. I'm just so tired of it all... I want to be normal... I want to be free without chains. I want to be myself... The best me... I can't change the world but I can change my world!!! can't I..?'
