Chapter 12 - First Adventure #3

The shock on Serenity's face, was on full display, as she looked at the child amongst the flowers. The glow of the flowers seemed to dim as she focused more and more on the child and beasts. With small chubby hands that held closely to the bird and the unblemished skin of a child; he couldn't be more then 5 years old. With a reluctant face, Serenity knew she couldent ignore a defenseless child even younger then herself. Approaching cautiously she drew closer to the child and beast. Stabilizing her pounding heart as she approached the sleeping beast; she leans towards the three Individuals.

They were tiny and unconscious appearing completely harmless and subdued. The small tiger cub under the left wing of the red bird had beautiful orange fur. With its tiny face poking out from the feathers on the bird it was petite and fluffy. Looking closely you could see the tigers paw pads that were small and pink. They looked like they would bounce right back if someone was to gently poke them. The adorable appearance overwhelmed Serenity making her desperate to stroke the small animal. With great willpower she kept her hand at bay as she reached towards the small child.

Serenity gently held the childs small chubby hands. Leaning closer, she could clearly see his expression. Deep peace was expressed upon his face, making him appear even more gentle and petite. His soft hair was covering his face but was unable to cover his expression. The grey strands of hair gently flew around under the light breeze. The scene before her was shockingly tranquil. With reluctance in her heart Serenity began to shake the child.

"Wake up kid." She whispered trying not to alert the beast beside him.

Under the constant shaking, from Serenity his small mouth seemed to pucker together, he appeared about to awaken. While his eyes scrunched together looking about to open; he rolled over. Seeing the success of shaking him Serenity started to shaking him harder. Staring at his tightly shut eyes intently. She didn't notice the beasts beside them start to awaken.

'Why is he so cute!?' Serenity thought completely focused on awakening the child. 'It's so unfair!!! How can he be so pretty and adorable. He is so soft and he looks just like a girl! He is a child so I guess it's okay if he seems a little feminine. Ah so adorable! Maybe I can kidnap him and make him my little brother~!' With such thoughts, lost in her mind she was grabbed from behind.

With shock Serenity tried to turn around but her whole upper body was bound in an embrace. Struggling she fell back pressing the person immobilizing her into the ground. Looking down she saw two little paws wrapped around her. The feeling of fur was masked by her clothing making her shocked to see the fluff holding her.

"W-What!?" She exclaimed trying to keep her voice down. With bewilderment filling her eyes and her mouth agape she stared at the fluffy arm. The thing underneath her started to move; rolling over. Turning over she was pinned to the ground her face pressed against the ground. The illuminated flower crush beneath her as she struggles again. 'W-who!? N-No what is holding me down!?' Serenity thought as she tried to glance behind her straining her neck in the process. Her eyes widened as she saw what was holding her down.

There was a small girl with animal ears and tail holding her down. The girl wasn't bigger then her but her strength was tremendous. She held Serenity down with great force. Her eyes glowed as she looked at Serenity with great caution. Serenity could see patches of fur on her face slowly disappear as she stared at the small girl. Noticing her eyes she pressed Serenity down harder. Her brown eyes held a fearsome glint in them. The girl had short orange hair, that matched her strong features and highlighted her unyielding eyes. The girl looked strong and beautiful to Serenity. This was the first girl she had ever seen who appeared around her age. Serenity was happy but she was also tense because of the circumstances. Noticing the girls strength Serenity could tell she was stronger. With effort she began to struggle with all her might to get away from the small girl.
