'Calm down, Serenity... Everything is okay... Sperate territories? Didn't mom say something about that? I didn't listen much because I kept bugging her about magic... I should probably focus more on this world's history and nations from now on...' Serenity thought, staring cautiously at the three individuals in front of her.
"Hey, is this girl for real? She doesn't know anything about the territories?" Cruise asked, holding her hand against her cheek in the bird's direction as if it would keep Serenity from hearing her conversation. Serenity narrowed her eyes towards cruise in annoyance, keeping her guard up. "Maybe she's just an idiot." She said, laughing loudly. "That's rude, Cruise. You shouldn't talk about people like that. Some people are just mentally challenged like that." The grey-haired kid replied, looking towards Cruise with a smile. "Yeah, you're right, Dom; maybe she's just challenged mentally." She replied, laughing louder, tears visible as she held her stomach. "Both of you are so rude. I swear you both are awful together..."
The bird chimed in, slowly approaching Serenity. Swiftly Serenity jumped back, distancing herself from the three in front of her. "Quiet bold of you to approach someone holding a knife." Serenity said, holding her knife close to her side, ready to strike at any moment. Lowering her stance, she held her left arm up defensively. Keeping her body low and compressed, she stared daggers at the tiny bird. "I guess I should have guessed you would be on guard after your brawl with Cruise." The bird mumbled, stopping their attempts to approach Serenity. "I had her right where I wanted! If Dom hadn't distracted me like that, I definitely would have won!" Cruise said with a pout while holding her hands behind her head.
"If we had continued that fight, I would have cut your throat open." Serenity said with a severe expression. "What did you just say, little girl...?" Cruise asked with an ugly expression. "You don't seriously think you could take me on after what happened, do you..?" She said, her face turning grim as she listened to Serenity taunt her. "Wait, Cruise, calm down. You guys have been taunting her for a while and even attacked her earlier. Of course, she would act like this." He said, trying to calm Sky down. "Sky, I know you are trying to calm the situation, but now she's made me mad..." Cruise yelled angrily, glaring at Serenity. "Would you please just try to calm down? Let's talk this out, okay..?" Sky said to Cruise, keeping her from pouncing. After a while, he directed his attention back at Serenity.
There was silence after that comment as Serenity watched the three calmly. Serenity and Cruise began staring at each other with hostility. The atmosphere between the two becomes grimmer. 'I don't trust any of them... That Cruise girl attacked me, and that kid I was trying to help made fun of me with her. The only one that appears to be reasonable still looks like a bird. Is he trying to appear more approachable? I don't know where I am... I need more information, so maybe I should try to be more cooperative..?" Serenity thought as her expression became a little more relaxed. After a few more minutes of silence, Serenity broke the silence. "Okay... Let's talk."
It was hard for Serenity to identify Sky's expression, but he appeared happy to hear her reply. "That's great!!! Would you lower your weapon?" He asked in a friendly tone. "Alright..." Serenity lowered her weapon, placing it back in the holder she had crafted for it. "It feels strange communicating with animals. I assume you have a human form like your friends over there, so would you mind changing your appearance?" Serenity asked while lazily sitting on the ground. You could hear the loud flop as she fell to the ground, now unconcerned with the other party. "Oh uh... If that makes you more comfortable." Sky said as his body grew rapidly. A tall boy stood in front of her. He had long red hair like her father; along with sharp slanted eyes that glowed slightly red. He was more developed than the other two behind him, with tan skin that emphasized his strong body. He looked like a teenager. This appearance shocked Serenity, although her face remained unchanged. Serenity's mind swirled with questions as she looked at the boy in front of her.
"Alright, Let's start with where we are... I remember you said this was the beastman territory... Where is that in proximity to the lost forest?" Serenity asked cautiously. "The lost forest? There is no way you came from the lost forest... No one gets out of there alive... You can't use magic there. Are you trying to hide where you came from?" Dom asked, becoming suspicious of Serenity. "That's none of your concern... Where I came from isn't important." Serenity replied with an easygoing demeanor. "Ha... You are so suspicious you know that!" Cruise yelled from behind Sky. "Why are we even trying to communicate with someone like this!" She continued in anger. "Please try to answer our questions... I understand that question was a bit difficult right off the bat... So why don't we start with names? I'm Sky, the girl who attacked you is called Cruise, and the guy next to her is Dom. What's your name?" Sky asked, trying to calm the atmosphere. "My name is Serenity... I don't trust any of you to be honest... But I do need information. I will cooperate with you guys. I won't attack anyone or show hostility from now on... as long as none of you direct it towards me." Serenity replied, standing up from the now crushed flowers. "For now, since we have come to some sort of agreement, I think we should move locations. These flowers seem to cause people to sleep..." Serenity said, walking past the group, trying to lead everyone away from the flowers.
