I run out the back door, I hear the door slam behind me, no shoes just the dirt and grass beneath my feet. I was staying in a small house with a large backyard. The tree behind was large and in full bloom, I wanted to get up onto the branches so I climbed the metal poles keeping the over hang up next to the tree, I picked the flowers and I climbed down and missed the last circle to the metal loop and I land on my ankle wrong. I lay on the ground looking at my leg rubbing it. I was left behind by my parents, they left me with the neighbors next door, who were elderly. They shouldn't be looking after a 7 year old but they were and I didn't care what happened to me, I felt so empty. I drag my leg in uncomfortably and I managed to get to my undersize toddler bed meant for a 4 year old. Better than nothing.
my eyes started to close as I started to get sleepy, Allis a voice calmly said, my eyes started to open back up but my vision was blurry. a figure a size of a Yonge man stood over me, you belong to me my sweet child. I pushed myself back as he went to grab for me and then I was outside below the tree, I looked at my feet as I began to float in the air my back hurts as I look to the ground blood drips down, wings? am I dead? I start to fall to the ground and just as I hit the ground....
I GASP for air.
It was a dream?
the woman who took care of me asked me to call her grandma, they lost their own child when she was giving birth to there grandchild. the baby passed away when she was only 1 week old. they say I look like her, the man I call grandpa has something called dementia, he's 89 so it grandma said it's normal. he doesn't always remember who I am.
Grandma stood over her bed putting away laundry.
Bad dream baby? you've been out for awhile now.
