Jenifer came into her room after diner. She found that Medora was no there. Jenifer called her but she wasn't there. She searched for her in the house but there was no sign of her. Then suddenly she heard a scream from outside. It was Jack and Lauren forcing Medora to get in the car.
Jenifer ran to save her but they started the engine and went on the road. Jenifer followed them. She saw their car and stopped her car beside their car. It was woods everywhere. She yelled but there was no one to hear her. She moved a little further. She didn't know where she was heading. It was dark and cold and she was all alone.
Suddenly she heard some screams. She followed them. She found Medora lying down on the ground covered with dry leaves, and Jack and Lauren were eating her alive. It was blood dripping everywhere. Medora's belly was teared out and Jenifer could see everything clearly.
Jenifer screamed and pulled off Lauren and Jack from Medora. She picked up Medora but then Jack came running and pulled Jenifer from her hair. He looked dreadful. He had yellow eyes and purple skin. Blood was dripping from his face. Same was the condition of Lauren.
Jack slowly came towards Jenifer. She got more and more petrified. He held her tight from her throat and her eyes opened with a shock.
Her throat was hurting. She quickly drank a glass of water. Her phone rang. It was Jack, "Jenifer, are you coming to work today?"
"Yeah, why not?" exclaimed Jenifer.
"I want to talk about something, so when will you be there?" Jack posed.
"In an hour." Jenifer hung up the call. She asked Medora if she was going with her but Medora told that she had got work in an ice-cream shop nearby. So, Jenifer went alone.
"Hello Jack…" Jenifer entered and suddenly stopped when she saw Lauren "Didn't heard you were coming here too."
"Sad to see me?" Lauren acquired.
"No Laur, why would I be?" smirked Jenifer.
"You should ask that from yourself." cried Lauren.
"You wanted to talk about something?" Jenifer turned towards Jack.
"Not me, but we wanted to talk." Jack pointed at Lauren and himself.
"About what?" Jenifer inspected.
"About you Jen!" exclaimed Lauren.
"What about me?" Jenifer sighed.
"Your gestures Jen, why are you acting like this?" uttered Jack.
"Make it clear you both." cried Jenifer.
"Can't you see you're getting so close to Medora" Lauren spoke.
"She's my sister and why do you both even care about that." Jenifer pressed.
"She's not your sister Jen. She's just a random person who came out of nowhere and started taking control over you." Jack told in a loud voice.
"Jenifer don't you feel that she has taken control over you. Her past is filled with darkness and I'm afraid if she wants to do the same with you what happened with her years ago." Lauren tried to share her opinion.
"Lauren you're just being jealous of her." shouted Jenifer.
"Why would I be jealous Jen? She's just a passing cloud. If she's here today, she won't be here tomorrow." uttered Lauren.
"A passing cloud! Don't you call her that! She was always there for me. Where were you when I needed a friend? Where were you when I needed help? Every day when I wake up from a nightmare, she's there with me. She gives me courage and power to face my dreams. What have you done?" Jenifer uttered in a harsh tone.
Tears rolled down from Lauren's cheeks. She ran out.
"Jenifer what has happened to you? You both are best friends." yelled Jack.
"We were best friends, but now we're only friends." Jenifer exclaimed.
"That girl has possessed you." Jack shouted and went outside to see Lauren.
Jenifer sat and cared about no one. She started to write the article. She was still not having all the answers. Her head was spinning. Jenifer and Jack worked in the same room but did not talk even a single word. Jenifer told Jack that she was not well and then she went back home.
"Am I really changed? Is Medora possessing me or Lauren is just jealous? Is my posture changed? What if Jack and Lauren want to hurt Medora as I saw in my last nightmare, but why do they want to do so?" these thoughts were like a blaze of terrible blue lightening across her brain.
She sat on the sofa with a coffee mug in her hand. Medora was not back home yet. Jenifer's thoughts were not leaving her, "I can't leave my friends nor can I leave Medora. I and Lauren never had any fight before. It's been eight years since we were good friends. I think I am the one acting strange. But why do they hate Medora?"
Medora came home after diner. Jenifer was in her room. She was writing the article.
"Aren't you finished with that?" asked Medora.
"Not yet, I need more vocabulary and details I think." Jenifer told.
"You look tired. Have some rest and sleep. I'll write it for you. I think I shall be able to write the clear details about what exactly happened that day." smiled Medora.
Jenifer agreed and went in her bed to sleep but her thoughts were killing her.
Jenifer woke up due to the lamp light. She saw that Medora was still writing.
"Medora aren't you done yet?" she posed.
"It's about to finish." told Medora, "Come have a look."
Jenifer went to Medora. She picked up a paper. It was written 'REVENGE' on it with red. She picked up another paper, it was written 'TERROR' on it. Jenifer's feet froze to the ground. When she turned her face to Medora, she saw that Medora's mouth was filled with blood and she was writing the words by putting her hand in her mouth and on the paper with madness.
Jenifer screamed and started to tear out the pages.
"Have you gone crazy Jen?" yelled Medora.
Jenifer stopped and saw that everything was back to normal. There was no blood, no fearful words, instead she had tear out the article's pages.
"I'm…I'm sorry…I was…I was dreaming…I…I think." Jenifer started to cry.
"Hey…hey Jen! Don't cry. Go get some sleep. I can understand you. Go to your bed. I'll take care of this." Medora tried to make Jenifer calm.
"How can they both think of her like that? She's so loving and caring and like my own sister. I think they both have not spent much time with her that's why they are thinking stupid stuff about Medora." Thinking this, Jenifer slept.
