"So what's the plan?" asked Jack.
"The plan?" Lauren posed.
"Yeah, the plan for catching Medora red-handed." told Jack.
"Why do we even need a plan?" Lauren laughed, "We could just go to the basement and catch her red handed when she'll be doing her evil thing."
"We need a tricky plan and force her spit out why she's doing this." Jenifer spoke, "She sure can be dangerous so we should make a plan to catch her red-handed."
"Tell us about her Jen?" Jack questioned.
"Well, she's a witch." Jenifer uttered.
"Nice one there girl." laughed Lauren.
"Uhhh I meant to ask her routine. What does she do the whole day? Where she goes or to whom she talks to, we have to keep an eye on that. " exclaimed Jack.
"As far as I know, she works in an ice-cream shop, just two streets ahead my house. That's all I know." Jenifer told.
"What's the time when she's not home?" Lauren investigated.
"She leaves at eleven for work and comes back home at about eight at night." Jenifer answered.
"So, we should keep an eye on her whenever she's not home." Jack spoke out.
"It's about to be eleven." Jenifer mentioned.
"So here's the plan, I'll go keep an eye on Medora and you both go to Lauren's house and get some sleep there Jen. Lauren will be there for you to wake you up from any nightmare. When Medora will come back home, I'll let you girls know. We'll then meet and I'll tell you both about what she did when she was outside the house." Jack told his plan.
"What then?" Jenifer asked.
"Jen, we'll then come to know about her activities and after that we will catch her in the middle of the night." told Lauren.
"Thank you both for sticking with me and understanding me after all I did." Jenifer's eyes filled with tears.
"You don't need to thank us. All what happened made our friendship stronger." Lauren held Jenifer's hands and spoke.
Lauren and Jenifer both went to Lauren's house and Jack went on his way to spy Medora according to their plan.
Jack saw Medora coming out from the house, she walked to the bus stop and waited there for the bus to arrive, and when the bus came she didn't take the bus but moved on walking further. Jack wondered why she didn't take the bus. This made him more curious. She walked for about fifteen minutes and Jack followed her. After a lot of walking, she entered an ice cream shop.
"So she works here." Jack thought.
Jack sat outside the shop to keep an eye on her. He couldn't see her from outside. He didn't go inside because he knew that if he went inside, she would notice him. There was only one entrance and exit of the shop, so he knew that whenever she'll come out, he would be able to see her. This was strange that Jack could see all the workers of that shop except for Medora.
Meanwhile, Jenifer and Lauren were at Lauren's house. Lauren made Jenifer asleep and she stayed awake to keep an eye on Jenifer. Time passed and Lauren waited for Jack's call. Suddenly she heard Jenifer murmuring, "No! No! Please why don't you leave me?" Lauren quickly got up from the chair and woke Jenifer up. Jenifer was sweating badly.
"Are you alright?" Lauren asked.
"Another horrible dream." Jenifer sighed. "Have Jack called yet?"
"No…not yet." Lauren told, "I was also waiting for his call."
"What's the time?" asked Jenifer.
"It's almost eight." Lauren answered.
"Uh I slept almost the whole day but still feel tired." exclaimed Jenifer.
"Wait here I'll get you something to eat."
After about half an hour Jack called Lauren and asked them both to meet at the park near Lauren's house.
"Anything new inspected?" Lauren asked as soon as she and Jenifer reached at the park.
"No not new but strange." Jack told.
"Strange? Everything about her seems strange to me now." Jenifer mentioned.
"Medora walked to the bus stop, waited for the bus to come but when the bus arrived, she didn't take it and moved further walking." Jack told, "She walked for about fifteen minutes and then reached the place where she works. She went in there. I was outside keeping an eye. I could see all of the workers except for her. It was really weird to think that she wasn't in that shop because that shop had only one exit and entrance, and everything inside could be seen clearly from outside."
"Then where was she?" posed Jenifer.
"I don't know. I didn't go inside at first because if I did, she'd spot me and she could think of me spying her. She didn't even come out for a minute. She was inside the whole day. All of the workers ordered food except for her. Then I went inside to check her but she wasn't there. I checked everywhere. There was no sign of her. Where could she go? If she had left the shop I would have seen her leaving. I came back outside and waited for her to show up. At about seven and a half, she came out from the shop. This was really weird. I was shocked at the situation. I saw her talking to no one or meeting no one. She again waited for the bus but when it arrived, she didn't take it but walked further and reached Jen's house."
"I am…I'm scared of her. She's so creepy." exclaimed Jenifer.
"There's nothing to be scared of Jen. She's alone and you've got us with you and I'm telling you, what so ever happens, we won't leave you." Lauren smiled.
"Now listen you both…" Jack started to tell the rest of his plan, "Me and Lauren will sneak in Jen's house at midnight and catch her red handed. Jenifer you'll stay awake and you'll call me to let us know when she'll leave the room." They made this plan and decide to end this once and for all.
When Jenifer reached home, she was scared of Medora. Medora tried to talk to her but she didn't talked much. She ignored her or only gave a mock smile but more than this, she was scared of her.
Jenifer finished with her dinner and went to her room.
"Sleeping so early today?" Medora asked Jenifer.
"Yeah…I feel sick and tired today." Jenifer told in a tired voice.
"Won't you tell me about your day today?" Medora posed.
"It was same as all the other days…exhausting." uttered Jenifer.
"Is everything okay Jen?"
"Yeah everything's fine." Jenifer mocked, "I think I'm going to get caught with cold or fever."
"Should I bring you any medicine?"
"No I'm good. I think I'll only sleep now."
"You get some rest right now and I'll go make some coffee to warm you up." Saying this Medora went out from the room.
"I can't take anything from her." Jenifer said to herself, "What if she puts something in that coffee?"
After about ten minutes, Medora came back to the room with a mug of coffee.
"There you go sister." she headed the mug towards Jenifer.
"Where is your cup?" Jenifer asked while taking the mug from Medora's hand.
"I don't feel like having coffee tonight." Medora told, "Looking forward to get a good sleep tonight."
Jenifer knew that Medora was up to something evil. She didn't want to have that coffee therefore she intentionally acted to put the mug on the table and made it fell down on the floor. "Oh! I'm really sorry." she exclaimed.
"No it's okay."
"I'll just clean it up." Jenifer spoke.
"You don't look alright. You get some rest, I'll clean it up."
Medora brought the mop and cleaned the floor. "I think I should make some more coffee for you."
"No thank you Medora." Jenifer said, "I should probably get some sleep now."
Jenifer acted to sleep. She was actually awake to keep an eye on Medora. She waited for Medora to go out from the room to the basement for her evil stuff. Jack and Lauren were outside Jenifer's house waiting for her call.
Jenifer's eyes opened and she found herself tied up on her bed. "Damn it I slept again!" she exclaimed.
She tried to get herself free but couldn't. Then suddenly she heard footsteps approaching her room's door. The door of the room slowly opened. Jenifer held her breath. She was scared as death. It was the same girl from her dreams with a knife in her hands. She came closer to Jenifer. She looked into Jennifer's eyes. Her face changed to Medora's face. That little girl from her dreams was Medora. This was the moment when Jenifer realized this because this was the first time she saw that girl's face clearly.
"Why are you doing this?" Jenifer cried.
"Some things are best kept hidden sister." Medora uttered while playing with the knife. Then at an instant, she stabbed the knife in Jenifer's belly and Jenifer's eyes opened with a shock.
"Uhhh…when did I sleep." she sighed. She found that Medora was not in the room. It was about three at midnight. Jenifer quickly got up and called Jack, "She's not in the room. I think she went to the basement."
"Come and open the door for us. It's freezing outside." Jack uttered.
Jenifer slowly went to open the door for her friends. It was dark in the house.
"Where's the witch?" whispered Lauren.
"Shhhh…keep it low." Jenifer spoke in a low tone, "She's down in the basement I think."
Three of them went to the basement door. Jack opened the door slowly. Candle light came outside the room. They saw what Jenifer had told them. They got shocked to see that all. Medora was sitting in the same positing in that star.
"It's over Medora!" Jack yelled.
Medora quickly turned around and got up. She tried to run but couldn't succeed.
"How could you do this to me?" Jenifer asked while crying, "You're the one behind the nightmares, aren't you?"
"Yes I am…I am the one behind everything happened to you and your siblings." Medora howled, "I am your hidden fear sister."
"Don't you dare call me your sister." Jenifer cried.
"Why would you do such a thing?" asked Lauren.
Medora laughed again and tried to escape but Jack held her tight and pushed her against the wall.
"Tell!" he yelled.
"The story you all know about me is a lie." Medora laughed.
"What lie?" questioned Jenifer.
"I made that all up." Medora told.
"Then what's the truth?" posed Lauren.
"Why should I tell you?" Medora gave a mock smile.
"Spit it out." Jack held her arms behind her tightly.
"I'll tell…" Medora yelled, "…but leave me first."
Jack got her out of hold and she told the story.
