Jenifer's eyes opened due to a gigantic sound as if something broke and suddenly the lights of the room turned on. Jenifer got up with a shock. She was already scared. "Who…who's there?" her voice trembled. She looked around but found that Medora was not in the room.
"Medora!" Jenifer called her but there was no sign of her.
Jenifer saw that there was a broken glass on her dressing table. She slowly got up from her bed. Her whole body shivered. She went closer to see what was broken. It was a photo frame with a family picture of Jenifer's family. The window was opened. It was a storm outside. "I guess the wind must have made it fall and it broke." she said to herself in a low tone.
Her eyes got caught on the dressing mirror. In the mirror she saw her reflection but it was not her. The reflection looked dreadful. It stared at her with the most fearful eyes. Jenifer was alone in the room. Her whole body shivered till toes. What she was seeing was hard for her to accept. She was awake and could see a nightmare from her open eyes.
The dreadful reflection picked up a piece of broken glass from the dressing table. The moment looked dreadful. It made Jenifer more and more terrified. It held its arm straight and gave it a deep cut. Jenifer's arm was also cut the same way. The fearful reflection gave Jenifer a dreadful look and started to cut its arm furiously again and again. Jenifer started to scream and cry, "This is a dream! This is a dream!" Her arm was cut badly and was bleeding. The reflection then licked the blood on the glass and Jenifer could feel the taste of blood too.
The reflection then showed Jenifer the glass and put it on its neck. Jenifer then knew that if her reflection would cut its throat, then her throat would be also cut and she would die. She ran to her bed and covered herself with the blanket.
She felt thirsty and woke up. It was her dream. She felt pain in her arm. She saw that it was actually cut but there was no blood. She could still feel the taste of blood on her tongue. "How horrible my sleeps are." Jenifer sobbed and held her arm.
She found that Medora was not in her room. She called Medora but no one answered. She got up to drink water. She waited for a while for Medora but Medora was not back to the room. Jenifer was really thirsty. She kept on drinking more and more water. Soon the water in her bottle got finished and she wanted more.
Jenifer went out from the room towards the kitchen to get some water. She checked for Medora in Dalton's and Kate's room but couldn't find her. She went downstairs to the kitchen to get some water and then she saw that the door of the basement was slightly open and she could see faint light coming out from the room. That room was her oldest fear. She didn't know what to do. She held to her heart and decided to go down to the basement room.
She slowly pushed the half opened door of the basement. It was candle light everywhere. She slowly moved down the stairs of that room. What she saw was the most unforgivable moment of her life. It was Medora sitting between a star drawn on the floor with some powder, surrounded with a circle of candles. She had creepy stuff put in front of her. She was spitting out some strange words in a low voice which Jenifer couldn't understand. Jenifer didn't know what to do. She was scared. Medora was a witch.
Jenifer slowly came out from that basement room and ran towards to her room and stuck to her bed. She tugged herself in the blanket and felt ashamed of herself. Even if she tried, she couldn't stop her tears. She could hear someone coming towards her room. She pretended to be asleep but her heart beat was rising rapidly.
It was Medora. She came in the room, gave a look at Jenifer if she was asleep or not and went back outside the room.
Jenifer cried and cried. "I trusted a stranger over my friends." she sobbed. She didn't know what to do. She started to roam around the room and tried to call Lauren and Jack but no one answered her calls. Her head ached badly. "Why would they pick up my calls after all I've done with them?" she cried, "I'm so selfish. I fought with my friends because of that creepy witch who has been planning to ruin our lives. Why I even trusted her at the first place?"
Jenifer could not stop her tears and could feel temperature of her body rising and shivering. She felt cold and warm at the same time. She tugged herself again in the blanket; she started to sweat but was feeling cold at the same time. The situation was unbearable for her. The one whom she called a sister was playing with hers and her siblings dreams.
It was about five in the morning when Jenifer heard some footsteps approaching towards her room. She tugged herself more tightly in the bed and pretended to sleep. It was Medora again; she was back to the room to sleep. Jenifer was scared to death. She knew that Medora was a witch and she couldn't sleep with a witch in her room. She knew that Medora was the one doing black magic and has been playing with the dreams. She now knew that Medora was the one behind all what was happening.
Medora was the hidden fear of all those fears but did Medora do such thing? Did she wanted to hurt Jenifer and destroy her family the same way her family was destroyed because she looked alike or was she only a psycho trying to ruin people's life?
Jenifer couldn't sleep the whole night. She didn't even felt a slight layer of sleep. At about seven in the morning, Jenifer got up from her bed; she got herself ready and went downstairs to have her breakfast. She wasn't really hungry. She forgot her bag in the room. She didn't want to go back to her room because Medora was there but she had to get the car keys and her phone which were in that bag.
She slowly opened the door of the room. She felt relieved to find out that Medora was not in the room. She hurriedly picked up her back.
"Up so early?" Medora said from behind.
Jenifer got scared, "You scared the hell out of me." Jenifer gave a mock smile, "Jack called me and told me that our boss wanted to have a meeting. Haven't I told you before?" she lied.
"No you didn't tell me." told Medora.
"I must have forgotten it then. You know I'm a little disturbed." uttered Jenifer.
"Work hard sister. I want to see you flying high." Medora tried to cheer Jenifer, "Now quickly go else you'll get late for your meeting."
Jenifer now hated Medora. Medora's sweet words didn't make Jenifer calm anymore. Her words were all useless and meaningless to Jenifer now. She was standing with Medora when Jack called her.
"I'm on my way Jack." Jenifer picked up the call and then hung up. "I've got to go now." She said this to Medora and came out from the room. On her way to meet Jack, Jenifer cried a lot. Her tears got dry but she was still crying. She abused and cursed herself.
Jenifer called Jack, "Jack?"
"Jen you were calling last night. Is everything alright?" asked Jack.
"Nothing's alright Jack!" Jenifer cried.
"Jenifer, why are you crying? I'm getting worried now."
"Jack I'm…I'm sorry for everything."
"You don't seem okay. Wait on a bit I'm coming to pick you up."
"No, don't come. I'm on my way. Ask Lauren to come with you. I need to tell you both something."
"But tell me now what's the matter? I'm really worried!"
"I'll tell when we meet." Jenifer hung up the call.
The world was spinning. Jenifer felt as if she was about to die. Her headache wouldn't stop. She reached her work place and waited for Jack and Lauren to come. After about fifteen minutes they arrived. They saw Jenifer sitting on the sofa and crying.
"Jen are you alright?" Lauren put her hand on Jenifer's shoulder.
Jenifer quickly got up and hugged Lauren so hard, "I'm sorry Laur! I'm sorry!"
"You're sorry for what Jen? Friends don't do sorrys." Lauren smiled and wiped off tears from Jenifer's face.
"I was blind. I couldn't see what was actually happening." cried Jenifer.
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked with an astonishing expression on his face.
"Medora is a witch!" exclaimed Jenifer.
"A witch…how can you say that?" Jack inspected.
"Last night when I woke up…" Jenifer told the whole story.
"So it was dark magic behind your dreams." uttered Lauren in an inspecting voice.
"Yeah!" Jenifer was still crying, "I'm so sorry. I trusted a witch above you both. Please forgive me. I was so rude and mean. I thought you both didn't like her but now I know that you both could see that she possessed me."
"Jen we're always there for you. You were possessed by black magic that's why you couldn't see what was actually happening." Lauren solaced Jenifer and tried to make her calm.
"What happened to your arm Jen?" Jack asked with shocking eyes.
"The nightmare again…they…they hurt me so bad." sobbed Jenifer.
"That's why you called us last night." asked Lauren.
"I thought to call you both because I was scared and only you both were there whom I thought would help me and would understand me. I bet you both were asleep that's why no one picked up, as it was the middle of the night." Jenifer exclaimed.
"We'll never leave you alone Jen." uttered Jack while holding Jenifer from her arms.
"I was being so silly. I'm such a booby. Thanks for sticking around with me." Tears rolled down Jenifer's eyes.
"That's what friends are for." Lauren smiled and three of them hugged.
