As I wake up on Aziria couch I slowly sit up and look around. I stand up and walk over to the front door. As I open it I see Aziria sitting on the porch.
"Sleep well?"
She asks quietly.
"Yea, how about you?"
I ask while stretching.
"I slept fine."
She replies. I notice there's a cold breeze. She looks back at me.
"Does something feel off to you?"
She asks with a frown. I feel the cold air rushing against me.
"Yea, it's August. It should be 90 degrees out here, that breeze feels like it's more like 40 degrees."
I say. She nods and stands up.
"Something is wrong, but I don't know what."
She says as she starts walking away from her house. I close the door to her house and walk behind her. We walk against the breeze and the more we against it, the colder and stronger it gets. As we walk through a tree line into a big clearing we see a man in the middle of the clearing and dead demons all around him. I see he has medium length hair, one side is black, the other is blonde.
I run toward him and he looks at me. As my eyes meet his my body freezes. His eyes are so cold, so void of emotions. He turns and starts walking toward me. As he gets close to me I notice his left eye is red and his right eye is white. He reaches forward with his left hand for my throat. Aziria appears in between us and tries to kick him but he jumps back away from her. As his eyes leave me I can move again. I quickly pull Nirioki from my pocket.
I summon Nirioki into its true form and run toward the guy. I jump to the side of him and swing. He ducks under my sword and kicks me in the ribs. He knocks me back 20 feet then regains his balance just in time to avoid Aziria. She swings her sword at him and he jumps away.
"I'm faster than you are."
He says calmly while I run back over to Aziria.
"Who are you?"
She asks him.
"I'm Raycar. I would ask for your names, but I really don't care."
He says as he rubs the back of his neck and closes his eyes.
This is my chance!
I think as I run toward him and swing my sword toward his throat. He dodges under my sword with his eyes closed.
His eyes weren't even open.
I think as he kicks me in the left leg and brings me down to one knee. As my knee hits the ground, he spins around and kicks me in the head. I get knocked several feet back and quickly roll to my feet.
Gah, his attacks aren't extremely strong, but he's fast. He's also very agile.
I think as I stand up. Aziria goes running up to Raycar swinging her blade all around trying to hit him but he easily dodges everything. I see him jump back near a pile of dead demons and grabs a sheathed blade.
"Sting like a wasp."
He murmurs as he quickly pulls it from its sheath and points it at Aziria. He starts running towards Aziria incredibly fast. He gets close to her and jumps over her, starting to swing the blade down on her. She goes down to one knee and barely blocks it with her sword. Aziria kicks towards him, but he blocks it with his sword by twisting his blade closer to him.
He jumps back and looks all over the blade, almost inspecting it. It's bright silver, Aziria didn't even scratch it. He starts running toward her again.
"RAYCAR!"
Someone yells from the tree line. Raycar stops and looks to the trees as a girl with long bright green hair runs from the treeline. Raycar drops his sword and jumps back close to me. The girl runs up and picks up the blade and jumps at him swinging at him.
"I told you to never use my blade, Raycar!"
She yells as she swings as him. She stops swinging and holds her blade up.
"This, this is mine! I am the scorpion!"
She yells. I see Raycar sitting against a tree a little bit away from her.
"Yea, yea, yea."
Raycar says. The girl looks at Aziria, then me. Aziria runs over to me and stands next to me. Aziria stares at the girl.
"Who are you?"
Aziria asks her.
"Oh me, you can call me Jinna, but some call me scorpion."
She says.
"What are your names?"
Jinna asks. Aziria steps forward. "I'm Aziria, and my friend here is Kai."
Aziria says clearly, Jinna looking over at Raycar.
"Sorry about my friend, he's not very nice around new people. He's also pretty edgey."
Jinna says jokingly as I look to Raycar and see him starting to walk away.
"Come on Jinna, we're leaving."
I hear Raycar say while he's walking away. Jinna quickly runs over and picks up the sheath to her blade and sheathes her blade. She holds the sheathed sword as she runs behind Raycar. They quickly dissappear behind the vast amounts of trees.
"Those two were strong."
Aziria mumbles. I nod and turn Nirioki back into is knife form. I see Aziria sheath her blade. I look over at the dead demons. I start walking over there and see that they all have holes in them. Aziria walks beside me and stares at the bodies.
"Whoever killed these demons, had a scattershot energy pulse."
She says.
"Scattershot?"
I ask. She nods.
"Yea, they can turn one beam of energy into several hundred small beams of energy. It's a extremely hard move to use."
She says as she starts walking back toward her house through the trees. I walk behind her and she suddenly stops. She quickly looks behind us at a tall tree. She stares at the tree for a moment then turns back around and continues walking.
What was that? Did she hear or see something?
I think as I stare at the tree. I turn back around and run to catch up with Aziria. After walking for several minutes without talking we arrive back at her house.
"Kai."
Aziria says.
"What?"
I reply. She turns to me and draws her sword. I jump back and grab Nirioki. She stares at me and smiles.
"Run."
She says as she appears in front of me and reaches right past my neck and stops a blade from hitting me. I turn and see a guy with long blue hair. His eyes are black as night. He has piercings in one of his eyebrows and on both sides of his bottom lips. He smiles and jumps back. He's wearing all black clothing with black combat boots. He has a sheath on his back as he points his sword at me I hear Aziria yell.
"RUN KAI! HE'S A HUNTER!"
I jump back and start running away. I look back and see Aziria on the defensive. After running for a few minutes I stop.
Why am I running? He can't be that strong if Aziria thought she could take him, but what if he is that strong. What if Aziria is in danger?!
I think as I turn around and start running back. As soon as I get to where I can see both of them, I see Aziria's sword stuck jn the ground and he's holding her up by the throat. He looks over at me then tosses Aziria to the side.
"Now that the annoyance is out of the way, we can get down to business."
He says as he points his sword at me again. I draw Nirioki quickly and summon it's true form.
"You'll pay for hurting her."
I growl as I point my sword at him and he points his at me.
