Chapter 3 - Caretaker Leslie's P.O.V

Growing up, Michelle often played the caretaker to her younger brother, Michelle always had a motherly spirit over him very protective, and would not let any harm come to him in her presence. She was almost like his mini bodyguard. (Chuckles)

Some days I used to tease her, and be like "are you Leon's mom, or am I?"

In high school Michelle had a thriving social life in class, and online Felicia kept tabs on her daughter by closely monitoring her activity on Facebook. When she started her account. One of her ground rules was you have to be my friend

Two: I had to have access to your page, to find out who you're talking to, and what you have going on. I think that she started having a bunch of people in her live on social-media platforms that she would call friends but they weren't friends

Although Michelle, and her mother had always been close. By her senior year the 17- year-old longed for more independence. Me and Michelle's relationship was umm, bittersweet. One moment, she could be under me you know loving me, and the next minute I get on her nerves, and I just don't know anything. Just like any teenagers you know I stay on her a lot I can say I was kind of hard on her in a sense that I wanted her to be grounded, and maintain focus on life. Just before finishing high school Michelle move out of her mother's place and in with her grandmother Joanna who live nearby in the haven apartment complex. Michelle told me the reason she was going to stay with me is because grandma didn't need to be living alone

that grandma need it to have someone at all times, and I think it was just the fact that Michelle. just like grandma's cooking a lot more than she liked mama's.
