At 8:30 p.m. on January 7, 2016, 19-yr., old Michelle Williams left home to visit a friend. She hasn't be heard from in the past 14 hours. As each minute passes her mother Leslie Williams grows more and more concerned. the fact that Michelle did not pick up her phone um... was a major red flag for us. Michelle's phone was her lifeline my gut was in butterflies it was in knots. Around 12:30 p.m. Leslie meets up with Michelle's boyfriend Louis he indicated to me that she was texting someone and she told him that she was going to meet along-time friend travis. I said travis? travis who? He was like I don't know he thought it was a family friend. I said we don't know a travis. One thing about Louis's account doesn't sit right with Leslie. I thought that it was odd that she was going to go a male friend and he was not concerned about the fact and let her go visit another guy friend you know that just seems odd. Joanna's P.O.V
Why would you let Michelle go out at night and meet a guy by herself? Louis explains that he trusted Michelle and thought that she would be back within an hour. Hoping to unravel the mystery of who travis is, Leslie logs unto Michelle's recently deactivated Facebook page at that point I went into mom investigation mode
Im brainstorming. I'm like what is her login it comes to me and I log in. Michelle's mother searches through her daughter's extensive list of friends many of whom appear to use nicknames and aliases. I did not find one inkling of a travis
not a piece of travis. Not-- Not-- (chuckles) not a whisper of travis. But as Leslie combs through messages of Michelle's private inbox she is taking aback by something she finds I did discovered that she was back in communication with an ex. They have been communicating back and forth through out the week and he had been by to see her a couple of times. Leslie wonders if Michelle was using the name travis as an alias for her ex- boyfriend. Did she invent a fake name to avoid upsetting Louis. As 8:00 p.m. approaches with no sign of Michelle, Leslie calls the police department in g city. Detective A.N. Huo's point of view Michelle's family lived in havens stones apartments so the officer went to that location to speak to the family. Leslie tells police that Michelle had no history of leaving home without telling anyone, and there were no problems within the family that she would be running away from. Nings p.o.v. she's a teenager you know this is the age where technology is extremely important so for her not to be in contact with anyone--- her family, her mom,her grandma, her brother, her grandfather was extremely unusual. Andre's p.o.v. One of the oddest thing talking to family she had signed up for college classes the day before and was excited about going back to school and so all of this left the officer and the sergeant to go, "there's something more to this case." According to Michelle's family everything suggests that Michelle intended to come back home. In a missing persons investigation we have to look at every scenario we have to look did this person ran away and there is no indication of that whatsoever so then you need to start looking at the worst. Was this person Kidnapped?
