"One step forwar-"
[You have died...]
"Ok, 4th death, right..."
As I was thinking, of how to move, I see a lady teleport in front of me.
"Margret?"
"So, this is where you were after you broke through my barrier."
"Uh..."
"You do realize that there is a button, on a bookshelf, that is labeled, press to leave. Right?"
"Uhhh..."
"You do realize, your attempt to break my barrier spewed books everywhere right?"
"Uhhhhhh...."
"You do realize, that you caused thousands and thousands of miles of collateral damage, due to your speed right?"
"UHHHH..."
"So? How are you going to fix this?"
"UM."
"ADIOS SUCKER!"
I yelled bye and ran...into a building...and died.
"Another instance of collateral damage."
"..."
Instead of moving forward, I decided to jump up, as there's no possible way that I can die right?
[You have died, your head combusted due to mass acceleration...]
Right... I guess I can't jump either.
"Destroying, Resurrection Shrine, okay...Continue."
"..."
My stats were reduced by 60%, perhaps if I kill myself enough times, I'll be able to not combust on the spot, after moving one step.
I continued to move forward and die.
"Destruction of City Hall..."
"Destruction of Blacksmith..."
"Destruction of Furniture Store..."
I died another 3 times, meaning that my total speed should be reduced by 90%.
I was quite hopeful this time I have no idea how speed is calculated in this game, but a 90% reduction in Agility must mean something right?
Then I realized, a 90% reduction in my Agility stat is still over 160k, in Agility.
"..."
What happens, if I die once more? Do I just go to a 99% loss in stats?
Well only one way to find out, I guess.
"One small step for ma-"
[You have died.]
[You have died 10x in a row, if you die once more, you will be logged out of the game, until the next natural day.]
[-99.9% Stats]
"Oh, hold up me Google, what -99.9% of my Agility is."
"Aha that's 1675 Agility, I can finally walk regularly."
"Oho, you are no longer causing collateral damage or running from me."
"..."
"Hmm, according to estimates, you have caused enough collateral damage for you to be sent to prison for life or execution."
"The approximated cost of your damage is estimated to be around the worth of two Kingdoms."
"..."
"So? How do you plan on solving this crisis of yours?"
"If I get executed, does that mean, my charges are going to be forgiven?"
"Well, naturall-"
"Ok, execute me now!"
"You should let me finish speaking, Well, naturally that would be the case for any normal citizen, however, you are immortal and sent from Gaia. Do you think killing you once, or twice, or even thrice would be enough to sate the anger of everyone?"
"..."
"So what are my options?"
"Well, you can be sent to prison for life, however, I don't believe that would do anything. I could, of course, forgive you for your actions, I could also make you pay the pric-"
"I file for bankruptcy!"
"Bankruptcy? So you don't mind handing everything you own over?"
"Except for the necessities."
"How about this give me that Stick and medal of yours over and you will be forgiven."
"Nope, those are my necessities, you can have this armor and sword."
"..."
"I don't believe you know what bankruptcy in this empire means. It means that you are selling yourself as an object, A SLAVE, even if you are chosen from Gaia. You can not escape the consequences of your actions."
"How about this, I'll pay you back in 5 years."
"Too long, 1 year at most."
"Ok deal!"
"Oho, I can't have you lying now, you're going to have to sign a contract with Gaia, stating that you will pay back your debt within a year."
"No problem, but from a numerical standpoint, how much gold?"
"Hmm, roughly 2 trillion gold coins, or roughly 75 million tons of Gold."
"Hmm, that's not too bad. How about I pay in full now?"
"Not too bad? Pay in full? Who do you think your fooling?"
"I'm not fooling, everyone, hold on move back, I'll bring out the gold now."
I memorized the atomic composition of a gold coin in this world and decided to summon a gigantic block of it. Out of the air, let's hope I don't kill too many people.
The small block of gold in front of me kept growing, as the oxygen around us kept getting depleted.
"1 ton"
"2 tons"
"10 tons"
"100 tons"
As the gold block grew, the less oxygen there was. If kept up, I don't doubt that I could wipe out the population of an entire kingdom, or several.
"..."
"That's enough, that's enough! I'll accept this block as payment, I don't want you wiping out this kingdom's population."
After Margret said that, I immediately stopped and felt a huge rush of air flow back towards me.
"What an interesting ability you have there, it resembles the philosopher stone of ancient times."
"..."
"Here's roughly 10,000 tons of solid gold. I can get it to a million if you wish!"
"..."
"No, this 10k tons of gold is more than enough."
"Does this mean I can leave now?"
"...Please leave, I don't wish for you to kill millions of people just to fulfill, a numerical requirement."
"Ah, but-"
"No buts, leave, before, I'll think of a punishment for the endangerment of millions of civilians."
"Yep, peace!"
"I dashed away, happy, to not die when taking one step."
"Man, my transmuting ability is very helpful! I can kill so many people or animals or monsters, with this, as well as accumulating wealth!"
"I don't think I'll have to worry about accidentally, causing collateral damage and being unable to pay for it or for anything in that case!"
As I was prancing away, my first -10% debuff disappeared and I disappeared into a nearby building.
