Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - Quests

I stood in the swelteringly hot room, waiting for the middle-aged man to come back with my emblem. I still have yet to find out this guy's name, which makes it annoying. Since I can't just keep calling this guy a Middle-aged man.

After roughly 15 minutes, the middle-aged man came back with a shiny emblem of a hammer and anvil. With the words' Expert engraved on the bottom.

I examined it with my Transmuter's Eye to see if I could replicate it.

[Object infused with a special aura, impossible to replicate with current standards.]

Hmm, well then, I guess, I'll just have to wait until I'm strong enough to replicate everything. Even this entire world...

"I'll be taking my leave now, Mr. Ichijero."

"Wait! What's your name?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I completely forgot to introduce myself, I'm Krazle a Grandmaster Blacksmith. Well, I have other things to attend to, I'll see you later."

"Oop, ok..."

"Well, shit what do I do now?"

[User can craft equipment to gain XP and level up.]

"Where do I get the materials to craft the item-. I'm stupid I'll just use the air..."

[User won't be able to gain XP transmuting swords. Users will have to pick up a Blacksmithing Quest and craft the item before handing it in, to receive XP and rewards.]

"And where do I get these quests?"

[There is a quest board in the Blacksmith Lobby. Some quests will provide the materials and others won't. Naturally, the rewards will be higher for the one's that don't provide the materials.]

"I can choose them right now?"

[Yes]

"Finally a way to level up!"

I quickly made my way to the lobby to find a large board with people crowding around. Some would grab the paper and run away, others would put up papers.

It was a never-ending cycle... Which I decided to join.

I quickly skimmed over a few papers, trying to find a suitable quest.

One random reward (depends on the quality of weapons).

Materials Provided

Before, I could even make a choice the first quest was already snatched. Leaving me with the second quest, but, more levels for me.

I grabbed the second quest and registered for it, they had given me a blacksmithing room and sent over the necessary materials for crafting the equipment.

In all honesty, it was quite simple to make weapons just imagine a sword made of mithril and some wood and bam. Add in a bit of creativity, the sharpest sword to mankind, and done. Super high-quality sword.

As for armor?

Eh, creativity doesn't do much, but I did look up the national symbol of Blackkiff and engraved it on the armor and infused some Mana into it. Giving the armor and weapons some extra properties and damage.

I finished creating all the equipment and armor within a few hours. I crafted swords, halberds, spears, flails, axes, etc.

I quickly submitted the quest and unlike what I had thought, the receptionist didn't freak out even though I handed in the quest only after a few hours.

[Quest Completed]

Meanwhile in the Blackkliff Kingdom...

"WHAT?! We've received the weapons and armor already?"

"Yes, sir."

"How is the quality?"

"The armor is normal, however, the weapons are out of this world, slicing through black steel is as easy as waving the sword in the air."

"Are you joking?"

"No, sir, please check it out."

The man in charge grabbed a light blue sword from the subordinate and immediately sliced into a metal beam on the side.

"What the hell, is this sword? You are sure that every single weapon is of this quality?"

"Yes!"

"Then what are we waiting for? Suit up and attack the Goldkliff Kingdom, while they still aren't ready!"

"Yes, Sir!"

...

"NO!"

"How, did my quest fail already? I just picked up?!"

"Don't tell me the Goldkliff Kingdom fell already!"

...

"Hey system, what happens, if I don't finish a quest?"

[If a quest is failed, the user will gain a strike. If the user gains 3 strikes they will demote to the tier below them. If they are at the lowest tier, they will be permanently expelled from the guild.]

"Damn, that's rough. Perhaps, I should be careful of what quests, I choose in the future."

"That reminds me, I should allocate my points now."

"Nah, I still have to attend this dumb online schooling crap."

[User, has confirmed to be logged out.]

After a short moment of waiting, my vision blacked out and I once again appeared in my small room.

"Hmm, I think I should clean my room..."

There was a bunch of metal scattered around the room and a dangerously sharp katana in the middle of the room.

That really does sound like a hazard and could kill someone...
