As they walked up the long driveway Aiden pulled Tessa onto a small dirt path through the lining of the trees, just short of the car in the driveway. Tessa's heart began pounding as they started onto the trail.
Sensing she was frightened Aiden spoke up. "I like my privacy so I built my house in the woods behind the main house. My sister can be a bit nosy and she hates bugs and dirt ironically" he smiled as he continued, "So I made it so that you have to take this dirt road to get there. It's not very far, but far enough to have my own space."
Tessa's grip on his hand never faltered and he made sure that she did not trip along the path. Soon a small house came into view. It was a small cabin made of beautiful wood. Smoke came from the chimney as a fire flickered through the window. Walking up to the porch Aiden put his hand on the door knob and looked back at Tessa, "I was not expecting visitors so please excuse the mess." He turned the knob and opened the door.
Stepping inside, she was engulfed in the scent of pine. Aiden began picking up small things around the house as she noticed house beautiful it was. She stood in a living room with very high ceilings. The fire place crackled and she took in the scene. The big screen tv against the wall, the big comfy couch in the center. "Make yourself at home and look around if you like" Aiden said, reading her mind. She began through the living room, walking past an old beagle sleeping on a rug soundly. Once she passed the couch she looked right into the big open kitchen. It was quaint was stainless steel appliances, but still holding the rustic feel of the rest of the house.
Tessa walked back into the living room to find Aiden sitting on the couch, waiting for her silently.
