Tessa couldn't bare to look at Aiden any longer, afraid that she crossed a line by asking that. Just as she was about to stand and try to find his room she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see Aiden looking down at her with a small smile on his face.
"If you would be more comfortable with me being near you, I can do that for you. Why don't you head up and I'll finish up down here? I just have to let Beau out and lock up. It's the second door on your left. Fell free to look in my drawers if you need something to sleep in." Aiden watched as she stood up and started towards the stairs. He was about to turn to let Beau out when he heard Tessa say softly "Thank you so much, you saved me."
He looked back but she was already gone. He set himself to finish up and get himself to bed. It was already 7:14am. He had been up for over 24 hours and needed sleep just as much as Tessa.
Tessa reached Aidens door and turned the knob to enter. This room looked nothing like the rest of the house. Where the cabin was rustic, this room was very modern. Sky blue walls, cherry wood furniture, a modest tv on the dresser and a king sized bed with navy blue bedding. She noticed there were 2 doors inside of the room, the first was a closet. The second door was a master bathroom and Tessa may have had luxury in her life, but this bathroom paled to hers back home.
She felt a pain in her heart as she thought of her childhood home. A place that she could probably never return to.
She found some shorts in one of Aidens drawers and changed quickly and laid in bed. She didnt want to intrude but the silence was eating her up inside, not allowing her mind a moment of peace from her thoughts. She found the remote and switched on the tv. Tessa was not a prude by any means, but she has never seen television like this. She looked on at the screen while a man had a woman bent over a table while she screamed in ecstasy. The harder Tessa tried to turn it off it seemed the louder the moans got.
As she frantically tried to silence the passionate couple on the screen, Aiden walked in and his eyes widen when he saw what was on the screen. He ran and grabbed the remote from Tessa, quickly turning off the tv.
Aiden turned to Tessa with anger in his eyes. "What the hell are you doing?!" Tessa flinched as Aiden raised his voice, this seemed to snap him back to himself. "Shit I am so sorry Tessa. I didn't mean to yell, I'm just tired and a little ashamed that that was still up on my tv. I'm not sex crazy or anything, I don't want you to think I would try anything without your permission."
For some reason that warmed Tessa's heart that he would actually want to do something with her, but only with her consent. After a moment she scolded herself, I must be delusional. He's just being nice since he found a crazy, crying girl in front of his house.
"It's okay, I think we've both had a long night. Could we watch a movie while we fall asleep? I'll close my eyes and cover my ears while you turn the tv back on" Tessa giggled a little and the tension left Aiden's shoulders.
A smiled tugged at his mouth and Tessa noticed how wonderful his smile was, how pure and beautiful. "Okay, what kind of movie?"
