KNIGHT
I was trapped in darkness. Someone laughed behind me and when a calloused hand brushed my face, I flinched.
So, so weak, my mind whispered to me. I was so weak for letting them see me break.
Mr Steve's voice rang cold from somewhere around me, ricochetting in the compact, choking air. "You're saving her this time too, huh? That ***** took what was mine."
"S-she thought it was water," My teeth chattered in the cold wind propelling from the large open windows.
"Too bad you're going to bear the brunt of her stupid mistakes. Again."
I didn't care. I let go of my senses entirely. A band was tied around my eyes to prevent me from seeing. They didn't even have to do that. I could so easily get lost in my mind. I could pretend so well.
Pretend like this was all a horrible nightmare that I would soon wake up from and find my angel looking at me.
