One month later.
So many things happened..
I became the princess of the Azalea kindgom. Empress Silvana was fumed in rage when she finds out that her husband, the king, where she assumed that he just went for a 'short walk' although, in the end of the day, he came back and brought a dirty child to take care of.
When she heard the girl's story, Empress changed her mind and decided to raise the girl.
To my surprise, I was lucky that both of them were such a doting parents.
They squeezed my poor cheeks everytime when they see me and worst, they liked giving me a lot dresses. The Empress, which is my mother now keeps spoiling me with candies.
But who am I going to refuse them?
They're candies! Like c'mon! I love eating sweets especially, my teeth were stable now and can eat them hardly enough. Which reminds me I'll enjoy the rest of my childhood.
I'm still four-year-old. I always practiced myself to able to walk and run. Sometimes, I get stumble a lot. That's not the point. I can finally walk properly! Yay!
I found out the Empress can't birth a child. She no longer able to give birth after she was being stabbed on the stomach by the enemy's spy. In the end, the spy was caught and executed after. No wonder my father decided to adopt me in order to fulfill her wishes.
She also wants a child. A perfect family together. Seeing the Empress smile every she brushes my golden hair. She always reminded me that I'm such a wonderful princess.
I ought a vow that I'll protect and loved them as much as I did than my previous life.
" Princess Princess Ria! Don't run! " the maid shouted at me worrying I might trip or not.
" I won't go bwackk. Ifey chu won't catch mwee!" I bursts into giggles when I saw the maid break a sweat, and tried to chase me.
She cursed, wondering if this is how brats doing these days.
When the maid lose her sight on me, I went to palace kitchen's back door. I thought it would lead me on a stock room. Unexpectedly, it brought me outside.
I saw the green almost covered to my vision. Bunch of trees and flowers. It led me outside. I wonder if they had a garden..I've never tried going outside since I came here.
The garden is right behind our estate. It's not safe for a toddler to roam outside but who cares. I wanted to explore abit.
I started to stroll around the garden and heard rustle noises behind the bushes. I paused, what is that?
Due to my curiosity, I went closer then, closer. I slow my pace as I move towards it..
Without my knowing, I stormed deeply through the forest and follow the noises came from the distance.
I was about to jump and scare who was behind it.
But it took me seconds, to realize that something leapt out from the bush.
It was growling loudly whenever I took a step.
What could it might be?
I saw two small figures.
A bunny and a fox.
Hang on, why these guys are so adorable?
I shifted my eyes at the bunny. It's white fur glowing and cowered at the sight of the fox. The bunny has red streaks wrapped around her neck and one stroke from it's body. Same as its pair glowing red eyes. For some reason, it's not weak as it looks. I could tell that bunny was cunning too.
I looked over the fox who started to launch while the bunny dodge it. I blinked, the rabbit dodge that? That was incredibly fast!
I can't help but gazed how the fox's fur glowing as if it was annoyed how he couldn't catch the little fella. The wolf has blue streaks and various shades of light blue hue and silver covered its fur. I liked how the patterns marked on his body especially, a diamond on its forehead.
Damn these creatures..
Why Earth doesn't have them?
I was busy whining in my mind and didnt noticed how the fox launched an attack nearly on my hidespot. The inaudible force made me yelp and fell on my butt.
Those creatures stopped on their tracks, wondering why a child wandering on a forest like this.
Those creatures thought that child will break an annoying cry from that moment.
The child stared at them.
Both creatures stared at the child back.
Silence.
She isn't going to cry from that fall?
Both creatures forget about their fight and were now, all-focused to the child.
"What is she doing here?" thoughts swirled in those creature's mind.
"Shopping." a short retort from me. I wanted to say it out loud in sarcasm.
Those creatures paused, and heard the word shopping came out from the child's mouth.
What is...shopping? Both of them was confused.
I snorted, of course, they don't know that. I forgot this world is more historical than my modern world.
It took a minute for the child to realize that she could hear their thoughts.
Wait..did I just hear them..?
The bunny and fox fixed their eyes on me with curiosity and..a slight distrust..?
I heard a feminine cute voice penetrated in my mind.
She can hear us..? the bunny mind-linked the fox.
Soon, a response came from a gruff man's voice.
How would I know?..the fox replied annoyingly.
'Not all humans have the ability to hear us..' the bunny tried to explain..
Even the beast tamer, or the contractor. They can sense their feelings but not able to talk to them. Goddess had banned the communication link years ago to prevent further dangers for the mythological creatures.
That's why creatures and humans were hard to communicate on this era..
The bunny keep mumbling and the fox keep staring the bunny as if it has grown two-heads.
I continued to listen the bunny and was deeply interested on her story.
Wow. I deeply appreciated the bunny though. I realized she was a female bunny. And on the other hand, the fox was a male.
I clapped as their attention turned towards me.
"I hate it to break it with you but I want to go home.." I sighed, rubbing my arms. The child's skin is so sensitive. I'm worried if this body can't stand the coldness anymore.
"You see..I'm quite not a very good in direction." I blinked and looked at them nervously.
This isn't a normal child. The bunny realized.
For a kid, she sounds a little mature.. The fox got interested.
"I can hear you!" I grumbled.
Ah fiesty. Love it. The fox grinned. She'll be a good meal for me.
The bunny glared at the fox and shook her head and say, ignore my idiot friend here, Young one..I can help you to lead your destination..
The bunny hopped towards me and gave me a cute smile as she put her paws on my little hands.
Ah, Can I die with cuteness now?!
The fox mumbled under his breath.
"Aren't u guys not going to kill me?" I squeaked and said softly. I was surprised these creatures didn't kill me yet.
I thought creatures hate humans.
Do you want us to hurt you? The fox mocked.
I shivered. The bunny gave him a menacing glare again.
"No, we won't hurt an innocent..!" The bunny smiled.
"Okay!" I sighed in relief. I still don't trust them. If they don't kill me yet, it means they wanted something from me.
"Now let's get going."
