A chandelier.
It was the first thing I saw after the doors open.
I was literally mesmerized at the sight before me. The grand chandelier shimmering above with tiny diamonds around it. The centerpiece of the ball-it hues with gold like rays of sunshine that graced the town of summer. It was built with glass as if it reflected with mirrors where also the exact mirrors that was plastered the ceilings around the ball. The floor was covered with white and blue tiles. A good combination for royals.
"Princess Valeriana de Julienne, The only Princess of Azalea Kingdom." a man's voice announced everyone.
Everyone turned their attention on me and gasped.
It was a little girl dressed with midnight blue dress where a lotus flower mark with its swirls, simple yet elegant. The silver line swirls at the edge of the cloth where it glued with a sky blue silk two-winged on its side that matches the darkness of the outfit. Her sweet cheeky smile makes everyone wanted to pinch her cheeks and attack kisses on its cute face. It makes everyone flutters their heart with care and warm. Such an adorable girl indeed!
She didn't take a glance to anyone and marched forward at the stage where her parents waiting for her to introduce.
"Haii everyone! I wanted to say thank you for attending my birthday party. Eat, fill, dance and enjoy your night. I'll never forget this memorable event in my life. And It would be a pleasure to meet anyone here on this evening." My parents thrown me a big smile and faced at the visitors coming forward.
After my speech, every nobles line up and greet me as they introduce themselves. Some complimated how beautiful my dress was and some complicated how mature and was amazed how I act. How could a five year-old girl hold conversations like an adult and capture with such knowledge?
Many hours has passed, I got tired from greeting and talking the guest. I started to roam around the ball while my parents are busy talking to other highness and nobles. I didn't pay attention to the capture targets and avoided them as I could. Until, I stopped when I saw all the meals on the table.
I glanced around to check if someone looking my way. When seeing no one around, I took some few taste and desserts and decided to pick-pocket them while heading to the garden.
Seeing no one around, I giggled and eat the food from my arms naughtily. After few minutes, I suddenly remembered the creatures I've met the other day. I wondered if they are still hiding on the back of the garden. Keeping the rest of the food, I went back on the grandball to check everyone.
As I walked back near the entrance, I saw my parents that were busy holding the conversation to the guests. This time, I squinted my eyes to see they doesn't seem to mind that I wasn't there.
Making her way to the backwall then, slipped into the hidden passageway where she found few days ago. Not seeing anyone, she went to the courtyard then, continued her stroll towards the dark forest. Unaware there was a shadow following her tracks.
After taking couple steps, she shrieked when two marshballs jumped into her arms.
It was the bunny and the fox.
[Princess, I thought I'll never see you ever again.]
The bunny cried out from her mind.
I laughed and patted her fluffy head.
"I'm not leaving you guys. It's just. . .that I lose track of time to see you.."
[Unbelievable] a familiar male's voice spoke out. It was the two-tailed fox.
[Don't ever do that again!] the bunny pouted.
"Guess what? I brought some treats!"
[Wow, thank you thank you!!] the bunny appeared to the treats and takes some on her fluffy paws.
"I've never knew if beasts like you are compatible to eat human foods. . .well, if it's the case, you don't have to ea-" I paused, when I was startled to see the bunny finished the food.
[She's an eater] the fox glanced over the bunny and was amused at my reaction.
"Ugh, at least warn me so I could get more treats." I facepalmed and giggled when I saw the bunny's face.
Poor fox, he wasn't able to take those treats. Seeing he turned his head to the bunny he doesn't seems to mind it.
Many portions of the desserts messed on her little mouth.
"You. . .Come here.." the bunny tilted her little head then, she appeared infront of me as I wiped away the dirt on her face.
I felt like treating her as small child.
I've never decided to give them a name. Do they have a name? Should I give one? I don't know maybe I should ask them. . . Before I could ask them, a voice interrupted me.
"Well, well well. The celebrant girl prefer to spend her time with those disgusting creatures than the nobles eh?"
I froze.
Suddenly, the both fluffy creatures were now before me, hiding me from the person as if I was their child with their posture shows defensively.
I've never seen my fluffy babies having a rising anger in their eyes nor repulsion to anyone.
