In a nervous and hoarse voice, Sasha said,
"I don't know why but I am afraid I don't know anything about me about this outside world what will happen if someday you decide to abandon me? I don't know anybody in this world except you." Her was and words made him heartbroken. He could not understand her inner feelings even though he tried her best to help her adapt. Yet now when she talked about a few of the things which she was afraid made him feel immense pain. He did not know how he should console her. He felt completely helpless.
Aaric patted her back and thought that diverting her mind right now was not a good option. Right now she needs something to hold on tightly so that she will not feel insecure. He releases her from his embrace and lifted her chin up so that his eyes could meet hers. Looking at her red eyes, his heart started to ache for her. He asked her softly.
"I can answer all the questions but before that, you need to answer some of my questions. Shall we start with them? Hmm?"
"Okay..." Like an obedient little girl, Sasha agreed quickly.
"In these past few days, do you feel that I can try to harm you in any way?" Even though he was seventy percent sure about her reply, but that rest net doubt that he was having inside made him a bit nervous. He did not let his nervousness show up on his face. His voice was so earnest that it instantly made Sasha calm. She looked down and mumbled softly which even Aaric could not hear properly. She realized that her voice was a bit low so she collected all the courage and spoke in a firm voice.
"No. I have noticed that you are very caring and attentive to me."
"Ok... and do you think you can trust me?" This question made Sasha a bit hesitant but that was just for a short moment, so Aaric could not sense that. He gazed at her silently, hoping from inside for a positive answer. Sasha's silence made him more nervous. The more time passed, his nervousness seemed to be increasing side by side.
The large hands of his which held Sasha's hands started to get wet. He was clearly anxious and this time even she could sense that he was feeling nervous.
After a while when she thought roughly and thoroughly, she finally answered him.
"I think I can trust you. I am not sure but I am not afraid to give a try... "
Sasha's revelation was a bit shocking for him. He should have felt happy or even maybe sad but his expressions were completely blank. His face was void of any expression. When she could not withstand his blank reaction, she waved her hands in front of his eyes.
In reality, the main reason behind Aaric's shocked reaction was Sasha's statement, especially the ending one.
'I am not afraid to give a try...'
Has Sasha been afraid anytime in the past? The answer to this question was clear in Aaric's mind. And it was just a two-letter word.
'NO' She has never been afraid of anything. That was something that made her unique from anyone. Without focusing on the consequences or the results, she never hesitated in trying. That Sasha whom he knew in the past had exactly this quality which attracted him towards her.
The moment Sasha waved her hands in front of his eyes, he jolted back from the reverie of his thoughts. He glanced at her and smiled, his smile was actually reaching ear to ear.
'Did he dreamt just now? What is making him so happy?' Sasha curiously looked at his wide smile and thought to herself.
"Good then! Let's go!" Aaric stood up and pulled her with him too.
"But where...?"
"Didn't you just said that you trust me?" Aaric's question made Sasha from voicing out her doubts. He understood that she still wanted an affirm answer, so he calmly replied as he stroked her cheeks with his right thumb tenderly.
"Relax... We are just going to watch a movie together. The theatre is upstairs, we don't need to go out." Aaric's answer made Sasha much more comfortable and at ease. In response, she just nodded her head and smiled brightly.
Hand in hand, the couple went outside the study room and headed upstairs.
While on the way, he glanced at his watch and asked her.
"Have you eaten?"
"No... not yet. I... I was just waiting for you." Sasha's answer seemed like an explosive for Aaric's emotions. Without realizing, he squeezed Sasha's hand slightly as he felt very happy from inside.
'At least, she is caring for me...'
"I will ask the maids to bring it here. Do you want to eat anything special?"
"No... not actually."
"You are the lady of this house and of every belonging of mine. You don't have to be hesitant."
"Mm... then please get me a cup of ice-cream. I feel I am craving for something cold food."
In the middle when the movie was just about to start, Aaric quickly texted Alleyn a question.
'She said she is craving for ice creams. Will it harm her?'
'No, it is a good sign. Let her eat whatever she craves for. Then only she can regain a bit of health.'
Alleyn's reply was enough for him to sigh in relief. Without wasting another moment he quickly texted Aunt Bell to prepare food and bring it upstairs with two cups of ice-cream. Since right now they could not share in one cup, so he had to order another one.
"What do you want to watch?"
"Anything you like... "
"My preferences may not be of your liking..." Aaric chuckled when he remembered the first time she protested to watch a movie of his liking. She just slept after watching for the first half an hour.
If he remembered correctly that it was raining outside and...
