The sky was dark outside with thick clouds covering it. It appeared all grayish.
Aaric quickly packed up the required documents to take home. By the time he came out, it was already after working hours, and the sky had already turned dark outside. He pulled the car door open and very quickly hopped in.
He casually put a CD into the player before starting the car. The songs that blasted out of the speakers was the perfect music for speeding. His wife was waiting for him at home to have a feast tonight, so he needed to reach their villa as quickly as possible.
Maybe luck was on his side as not many cars were on the road now. Wind breezed through the streets and it started to drizzle. Soon after that, the whole city was covered in a thin mist, and the dried-out roads became all wet again.
As soon as Aaric reached home, he was welcomed by a big warm bear hug. He did not need to guess twice who it might be, he quickly returned her a hug by embracing and wrapping his sturdy arms.
"Why are you so late?" Sasha peeked out her head from his arms as she silently complained to him with a poker face.
"Don't tell me that. I reached in just fifteen minutes instead for thirty minutes. Then how come I got late today, huh?" He pinched her cheeks at her childish behaviour. 'Really would anybody tolerate and pamper her the way I do? No I won't let it happen!'
"Okay fine! Quickly come inside and go upstairs. I have prepared a hot water bath for you. Shower and freshen up. I will be done with the dishes soon."
"Thank you milady. Well I am looking forward to your cooking. And this time I hope it won't be a burnt pancake… haha!" Before Sasha could give him a good beating, Aaric had already ran upstairs.
After a couple of minutes, Aaric came downstairs to help her in the kitchen. With the cooperation and coordination of each other few simple dishes were ready in just half an hour. Both of them had their meal and headed upstairs towards their bedroom to watch a movie.
Aaric and Sasha were cuddling each other on their warm bed while he was trying to persuade her to select a movie she would like to watch. But she remained stubborn on her choice and asked him to select any movie he would like to watch. So in the end he just took out a random CD which was a documentary on environment protection.
Sasha rested in Aaric's arms while he was just sitting leisurely on the bed. The movie started and one of them was fully focused while the other person was just yawning in between and trying not to sleep.

After a whole night of rain, it cleared up near dawn. The morning breeze passed and the ground started to dry out, leaving a sense of freshness in the air.
A cool breeze came into the room through the small gap on the balcony, rustling the light-colored curtains. The sudden gust of wind made her shiver. She quickly turned around and placed her arms around her personal heater. She pulled the blanket upwards to cover her face. Aaric was supporting his head with his right hand while the other hand was wrapped around Sasha's slender waist.
She was just about to doze off, suddenly something woke her up from the deep slumber. She sat up abruptly and pulled the blanket off from Aaric's body. Looking at his smiling face, she understood that she must have dozed off in between just after the movie started. She scratched her awkwardly and looked at him. His dark eyes were so clear that one could easily notice amusement flickering inside. He cleared his throat and asked her.
"What happened? You wanted to say something?"
"No… just that… Well has the movie ended?"
"Well I turned off the laptop when you dozed off… just like one particular thing."
"What particular thing?"
"Do you really want to know?"
"Mmm. Yes."
"Well… actually… just like… a PIG!"
"Aaric!!"
"Aaric… Hey!"
Aaric unknowingly leaned against the door frame and smiled the whole time. It was only when Sasha started to call out his name that he jolted back to his senses.
He looked at the petite figure who was sitting on the bed and looking at him. He smiled and walked towards the bed.
"Were you saying something?"
"You were daydreaming." Sasha could not control her laughter as she thought how he was smiling just a few minutes before.
Aaric felt warmth spread all over his chest when he heard her laughing. Her smile, her voice everything about her was just insanely beautiful.
"I was just..."
