'THUD'.
The falling sound made her yawn as if she slept for more than a year.
'Mmm, too bright.'
It took a while to adjust her eyes. She looked at the ceiling. It was very unfamiliar. Then she looked around the room.
Large room. Full of luxury. There was an open door on the left, sunlight was coming from there.
The room was also very pretty. It was a room where it was evident that money was flowing around!
She was so panicked and afraid that she couldn't notice that there was a nurse sitting on a chair, resting her head on the table, sleeping.
It had already been 8 months of that incident and her critical operation. For the past months she was in a deep slumber. Since there was no movement in her body for these past months her body eventually became stiff.
She cried in pain without realising that the nurse was staring at her with her shocked eyes.
So she twisted her body a little. Then when she got up from the bed, she almost fell.
Hurriedly, she caught the bed and sat there. It wasn't easy to stand. So she waited for a while. She tried several times to stand firmly but failed. There was no strength in her lower body. Whenever she wanted to get up, her legs trembled vigorously. Slowly, she took some deep breaths and tried again, again and again. Fourth time she could stand and still she had to grab on something. Keeping her balance while touching the wall she walked slowly towards the balcony.
Seeing someone in front of her which she wasn't expecting, the nurse nearly fell from the chair.
Hearing the nurse's scream suddenly, Sasha was startled.
"Madam.."
Before Sasha could ask the nurse anything, she had already rushed out.
The nurse ran outside the bedroom, towards the main study room. Without knocking she opened the door and informed her master.
Aaric Smith who was in his study room, didn't look like he was in a very good mood. Rather, he looked quite gloomy, totally different from the outside weather. Though for the past eight months he stayed like that. He was gazing at the screen which showed fluctuating market stocks of Rick Jones's family business Jones Enterprises. He was just waiting for her wife to wake up so that the couple could enjoy the show together. Suddenly the door of the room opened which startled him.
'Ka'
"Sir... Madam is awake."
The bodyguards outside the door were shocked.
Their 'Lady boss has woken up'.
Without taking a glance at the nurse, Aaric ran towards the bedroom. The moment he opened the door Sasha was already standing near the balcony door with her hands placed on the wall to balance herself. He rushed towards her and hugged her from behind.
Tears started rolling down from his eyes.
Seeing this unimaginable scene in front of them Alleyn and the bodyguards were dumbfounded. They thought that they must be dreaming. They all dreamt that their boss cried.
'Huh what a dream!!'
Everyone thought this in their minds.
Unknown to them he literally cried. He cried for his beloved woman who came back to him from the mouth of death. It was the day for celebration.
Alleyn Walker cleared his throat and asked his friend's permission so that he can quickly check her condition. But it seemed that his friend had no intention of leaving his wife so soon.
A moment later, Sasha started struggling in his embrace. Aaric understood that and let her go. Then he asked her gently,
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah.."
Hearing her own voice, she stopped.
It was an odd sound. It didn't even sound like a human voice! She tried to clear her throat loudly.
Her throat was dry and it ached whenever she tried to speak. Seeing the pain expression on her face he gestured to her not to speak anything. He took her hands, encircled them around his neck and carried her towards the bed and placed her gently on top of the bed. Then quickly he poured some water for her in a glass and sat beside her. Before she could reach to take the glass, he took the initiative and placed the glass near her lips. She slowly drank the water and felt relieved. Her throat was not aching that much as it did before.
He hugged her again and let out a sob. He whispered near her ears softly.
"Sasha, I was afraid. I thought I lost you forever my love."
Before letting out a few sobs and then sighed deeply. He straightened his back before locking his eyes on her face which happened to be a bit confused.
He gently asked her.
"What happened?"
Unexpectedly her reply shocked everyone.
"Who am I? And why are you crying seeing me like this?"
