"Tomorrow, you will be attending the party with me. I hope I'll see you in your best shape, my capable secretary." Seeing the grin which he pulled, sweetly she can't tell whether he was joking or teasing her. "Do you always do this, Mr. Jung?"
"What?" Not that he couldn't catch her words. He heard her words clearly but can't tell what she meant. "Do what?" He repeated.
"Seducing someone. It will be bad if someone mistook your approach as a way to flirt, Mr. Jung. I advise you to do this in someone you are really interested of." Jung Hwa took a step forward which make Han Seoyeon who was still talking to take three steps forward. The two moved forward and back until Han Seoyeon felt her back hitting her own desk. With no where else to run, she drew her brows.
"Then if I have an interest it would be fine?" His hand stopped at her table keeping her down for his red gaze to bring a red glow over her face. Her throat bobbed as she gulped. The distance between the was too close that if she took a step forward, her lips will touch his. She had wondered since her first time, were vampires creatures who like psychical contacts?
Jung Hwa saw her lips pursed, her eyes darting around and how she had gotten a pinch over her earlobes so he wouldn't see her ears turning bright red. Adorable, he thought but he should stop now. Moving behind, he created a space for her to move forward. "I will have to go now see you tomorrow, Seoyeon." He stated and left the office, leaving Han Seoyeon speechless on her own.
Nights draped down to veil the sky. Far in the corner of Myeondong street was a group of men standing in an alley which had been restricted for no humans to step to the place. Lifting his chin a man blew out a white smoke from his lips, a wide scar appeared from the upper left of his lips to diagonally stop on a few threads away from the middle of his lips. His eyes were black but with the corpses in front of him, it had turned bright red which was a trait for vampires who had seen a large amount of bloods.
"It's a lot more horrible case than we thought." Chung Gon stated from behind walking to the corner of the street which had a dead end created by a long wall. His eyes calmly observed the three corpses of men, seeming used to see dead bodies.
"More than you thoughts not we." The man pulled a convertible ashtray and pushed the cigarette for the light to turn into a smoke.
"Now, now, you don't have to be cold to me don't you, Ji-hyeang?" His words had Deok Ji-Hyeang to furrow his brows. "If you don't want me to be cold, I advise you to come at the punctual time rather than sleeping. I hope you still remember that are the head of the investigators."
"I'll take a note of it at later time. Explain me the situations first." Chung Gon said as he bent his knees, keeping his scarlet gaze at the cut wounds made on the corpses necks, heart, and limbs. The wounds on the corpses limbs were not deep at the slightest, it was swallow except the deep wound on their hearts.
"Three deaths, the men are a normal company workers, normal humans. The death resulted due to blood lost from the wounds on their hearts and only the one on the far left had a different case, he was killed by blunt object. Until now this blunt object is still on a search." Chung Gon rose his brows, the case in Myeongdong had piqued his interest since the start which took place three weeks ago.
"Then why do the police sent the case to us the associate?" Associates was a group made by the elders of vampires who ruled the law over humans and vampires. Most of purebloods worked in the associates along with the vampires. Cases which includes vampires are usually sent over the associates and there had never been once human cases was sent toward them except where the human was killed by vampires.
Judging by how the fight was from the wounds, it was evident the murder didn't happen due to a hungry vampire drying out a human's blood.
"There where the problem was, they were once humans who turned into vampires and was killed in less than ten minutes intervals after they've turned to half vampires." Chung Gon stood up from his crouching position. Furrowing his brows on concentration he spoke. "Turned to half vampires? Only purebloods could do that."
"Yes. Our first suspects are purebloods but for what reason they killed the humans they've turned are still a question. The rest of the cases in Myeongdong all happen to be the same." Deok Ji-hyeang summarized.
"It was the laws for purebloods not to turned humans into half vampires sporadically, wasn't it? I expected the vampires' society to be more powerful than this." Jung Hwa's voice came from behind the two surprising the two investigators who were caught up on their discussion. Having heard the situations from their conversations, Jung Hwa swept his red gaze over the lifeless corpses.
"You should've said something if you've arrived." Chung Gon took a glance of Jung Hwa who scoffed when he spoke to him and chuckled. Although in terms of humans Jung Hwa was older than his looks, in the vampires' society he was the youngest out of all the purebloods in the Associates. The man didn't mind Jung Hwa's cold behavior to him as he knew well he still blamed him for the death of his mother.
"Laws are laws, like humans only a few abide by the laws made by the Associates." Deok Ji-hyeang returned for Jung Hwa to chuckle. "Then you should have placed a greater punishment than imprisonment so they couldn't break the law again."
Chung Gon had his interest piqued and rose his brows. "Such as?"
"Pull their fangs out all four of them so they shouldn't be able to break rules if they don't have anything to use to break laws."
