Thr place where she was near to the party hall and there were a lot of people who are present at the moment so she wasn't afraid at the least. The person who came to her must be waiting until she is alone but she wouldn't fall to their trap.
Han Seoyeon turned her body carefully to have her eyes locked at a woman in a red dress. Her back was hunched, staggering as she tried to keep her balance with her eyes kept on following the floor. Her hair which had been combed and tied to the side now scattered in disarray around her hand. On her palms, traces of blood dropped down to ivory tiles bellow her. It was Gwon Sheiin, the vampiress and the red liquid on her hands Han Seoyeon didn't have to think twice to know that it was blood.
With the way she staggered like a drunk person, Han Seoyeon could have thought she was drunk from alcohol except for the blood. Did the vampiress kill someone? There was no time for her to think through her eyes darted around to the door of the party halls which was a few meters away behind Gwon Sheiin. Looking behind her, she saw at the end of her path was a dead end. Like a mouse, she was trapped between the place. She can't move forward nor can she move back now.
Her throat bobbed as she gulps and she lifted her soles faintly to create a stepping sound to see Gwon Sheiin moved forward in a step. Noticing how the vampiress only acts on sounds, Han Seoyeon first unbuckled her shoes and without a sound step beside her heels to secure herself from triggering Gwon Sheiin to move forward.
Then she took her phone hoping to reach Jung Hwa with her messages when her phone suddenly rang out a loud sound. How bad could her luck be?! She snapped her eyes forward to see Gwon Sheiin raising her head and glared at her. Her expression was distorted and the fangs she hid to act like a human were protruding out from her lips with bloodthirsty salivas dripping to corners of her lips.
Han Seoyeon didn't stay rooted in her place and dashed at once when the vampiress eyed her. When she had taken a proper look at the vampiress's face earlier, she saw how her once black eyes had turned deep red to erase all the hints of sanity. It didn't seem like she could talk with her in this state but worse, now she was trapped to the corner of her room.
It was naive for Han Seoyeon to ever think she could create some distance between her and the vampiress so she could take a turn and run toward the opposite direction. The inhumane creature was far stronger than her and faster than her. Before she could reach the corner of the room, Gwon Sheiin clutched her hand firmly on her wrist. Her long fingernails sank into her flesh and bloods streamed out from her wrist.
"I'm sorry!" Han Seoyeon said to raise her leg and angled it over the stomach of the vampiress to kick her in full power. She thought it wouldn't work but fortunately, Gwon Sheiin who was spoiled since childhood was unused to pain groaned in pain as she was thrown by Han Seoyeon to the wall. Han Seoyeon saw the vulnerability and dashed quickly to the opposite direction to make her call. But before she could push the button, Gwon Sheiin caught her neck.
In a state of surprise, Han Seoyeon released her phone that she soon regret it. Gwon Sheiin tightened the squeeze on her neck and her breathing start to get harder to take. Heer hands tried to release the grip on her neck but Gwon Sheiin didn't budge an inch. The difference on their powers were large that she can't do anything.
"Ms. Gwon please come to your senses!" She yelled loudly hoping to gain some sanity from the crazed looking vampiress but her voice fell deaf on her ears. Her sharp fingers digging to her necks held a powerful tightness that Han Seoyeon could feel her head turning hazy from the lack of breaths.
In midst of loosing consciousness, her quivering lips mouthed a name with her last energy, "Jung Hwa."
Right at that moment, Han Seoyeon felt her neck was suddenly released from the death grip and collapse to the floor. She held her neck and coughed harshly to try and heave breaths. Her black eyes were still shaken and she could fell her legs loosing any energy it once had. When she lifted her head, she saw a hand had pierce through the chest of the vampiress.
Jung Hwa retracted his hand from Gwon Sheiin's chest, creating a hole for the vampiress to collapse lifelessly to the ground erasing any light on her eyes.
"Seoyeon." He bent down so his knees touched the ground and held out his left hand which was spared from blood to touch her cheeks for her to flinch at his touch. She seemed scared he thought to lower his voice smoothly to her, "You are alright now." he cooed.
"Miss Gwon..." she trailed her eyes unbelievingly stared at the body of the vampiress that had grown stiff. She had died. It was her first time to see someone was killed and the thought made his heart sank to her stomach.
With the wide hole on her chest, the smell of blood thicken for his eyes to turn bright red.
"It was a hollowed vampire. A condition when a vampire have their heart infected they will turn into beings that doesn't have mind and only came to attack whatever near them for blood," He explained briefly and thought that it wasn't the time now to explain her the rest throughly. "Can you stand up?" he asked and she tried to muster her power to her legs but it had grown limp from the surprise that had attacked her.
The trembling on her legs made him compare her to a newborn fawn but it was no time for him to entertain his thought. Reaching out his hand he said, "Excuse me," and wrapped his hand under her knees and shoulder to lift her up in ease.
Han Seoyeon faltered, "I can walk on my own." she said though in truth, she could not.
"How? Dragging yourself with your hands?" His sarcasm silenced her. Though he didn't meant to snap at her but at this time she had to understand that she can't walk and that they have no time to argue. Jung Hwa walked toward the halls not to the party hall but instead to a room he knew was vacant from any humans by detecting the senses of humans.
