Jung Hwa truthfully didn't care about his wound. He's a pureblood vampire and such a wound didn't matter to him the least. Not only the wound healed fast he could feel less pain than anyone of his peers. But looking at the wound it did seemed like a dangerous one that could kill a human.
Han Seoyeon saw him standing up from his seat. Reaching out his hand, he touched her forehead, giving her a cold sensation which made her flinch as he had a lower body temperature. "I have a higher pain tolerance than others, so it isn't different than a mosquito bite." He felt her forehead, normally a vampire would have a lower temperature than humans but as he was a pureblood vampire he could utilize his body temperature to his liking and turn his hand warmer than before which surprised Han Seoyeon. When he felt how her temperature wasn't as much different as the one he had in his palm, his sharp ears could pick her heartbeat had eased from the panic attacks. "Do your heartbeats always sounds this loud, Secretary Han?" The question had her silent.
"Can you hear my heartbeat?" She asked puzzled as there was no other question that could come on her lips.
"A little, it's a vampires' gift." A little he said but that wasn't at all a little.
"Mind explaining to me why your heartbeats are louder than average?" Han Seoyeon pursed her lips. How could she reply that her heartbeat raised because of him? Jung Hwa noticed how her eyes moved away from him as he retracted his hand and the grin he had changed to an even smile.
"It's perhaps because I'm just different than average." She said touching her own forehead. "I should go back to work now." She stood up from her seat and heard him speaking. "You can go home and take a rest, Secretary Han if you need. I wouldn't want you to force yourself."
"No I'm fine, I'm perfectly healthy now." She bowed wishing him a good day and went beside by the door to come at a stop. "Mr. Jung." Hearing his name called, he turned his eyes and met her glassy eyes. The tips of her ears were red and her nose was tinted at the same color. Pulling her smile which was different than her usual working smile, she said from the bottom of her heart. "Thank you very much for saving me."
Truthfully she didn't only want to thank him from saving her in the elevator, she also wanted to thank him for asking her out on a date which helped her from thinking her day was a misfortune after going to her aunts' house. But now that she is as Han Seoyeon the date wasn't between the two.
Stepping out from the office, she went and take a seat on her desk which was right in front of his office. Her hands began on typing a few words to start her work but then stopped when her phone came into the picture. Jung Hwa was a kind person or perhaps she should say a kind vampire. She had never seen any other vampires than him but she had a feeling the vampire's society wasn't a good one. She should put a stop in acting as Wan Seulgi. Prickly feeling came over her heart when she thought of the possibility seeing him disappointed but the better the sooner. Before her feeling she had grown conscious too grew into a large one, she should make everything clear.
For this, she should first contact her friend Wan Seulgi who she can not reached since yesterday evening. No matter how busy her friend was, she wasn't the type of person who would ignore her call and for some reason, she felt very worried about her now. Perhapsq the heartbreak affected Wan Seulgi more than she thought?
"Secretary Han." Kang Taehee called her name. Propping his hands on top of her desk, his smile showcase his pearly teeth.
"What can I help you with, Mr. Kang?"
"It is about the party tomorrow. You will be attending it with CEO Jung, wouldn't you? Do you already have a dress prepared?" He asked with his smile. Han Seoyeon silently shook her head. "I don't think I have a good one but I should prepare it now. Thank you for mentioning, Mr. Kang." All the clothing she had was ones that she use for work, she was very careful on her spending thus she had never bought fancy clothes. But now that she think, walking beside Jung Hwa she would need a good dress.
The thought passed when Kang Taehee snapped his hand. "Just as I thought! Wait a moment." He trailed and bent his body down to take something bellow him. As the desk was higher, she couldn't see what the man was taking until he brought a gift box wrapped with a bright vivid red ribbon. Placing it to her desk, proudness bounced over his face. "CEO Jung ask me to prepare this for you! I don't know whether the style would fit you but the boss personally choose it so I think it should suit you very well."
"Mr. Jung prepared this?" She asked for a confirmation and received a nod. "He said his companions and the people who work under him should look the best when standing next to him."
It sounded like the narcissistic remarks he would gave. Instead of giving an awkward expression, Han Seoyeon laughed. "Thank you."
"You shouldn't thank me but the boss, I'm only here as a mail boy after all." She agreed with his words and heard him speaking again. "Say, Secretary Han, it seem that the elevator isn't working? The employees are making a ruckus, have you called the technicians?"
Han Seoyeon forgot about the elevator and gave herself a faceslap. "I should call them now."
"Please." Kang Taehee smiled, waving his hand the man left the office while Han Seoyeon called for the technicians.
