Chapter 26 - New Drinks

Then my phone rang. I picked it up.

'Hello?' I asked.

'Hiya. Arabelle, it's James.' The line said.

I frantically tapped Callum and put it on speaker.

'Hey James!' I said. 'How are you?'

'Fine, thank you. We published the magazine and the response was great. The public love you. We have another shoot open.' He told me.

'Really? When?'

'It's Friday today so. Monday at 2.00pm' River looked happy because we didn't have a shift then.

'I'll be there. James, can I ask you something.' I said.

'Go ahead.'

'What makes the coolest photograph?'

'Uhh...' He thought for a moment. 'Two people who look similar or people who are complete opposites in the same pose, same outfit.' My face lit up.

'Yeah?'

'Yes, why the question?' he chuckled a little.

'Nothing much, just my identical twin brother looking for a career change.' I made sure I said identical.

'Really...' he thought some more. 'Bring him along on Monday.' Then he hung up the phone.

I high fived Callum. Then I got another call. I looked at the screen. It was Dieter. I got up and walked from the little circle.

'Hey, hun.' He said.

'Hiya, you alright.'

'I am now that I'm talking to you.' he laughed.

'The cheese.' I giggled.

'Ha. I've got a date for the lunch with dad. Are you free on Sunday?'

'Yeah I have a shift at the bar at 7 though.'

'That's fine. Uh...hey I'm sorry about all the media and magazines. I know you don't want every bit of our relationship public.'

'Dieter. It's fine, I couldn't care less of what other people think of me.' I told him.

'And thats why I love you.' he said happily. I giggled.

'I love you too.' I smiled.

'Ok sweetness, I gotta go.'

'Okay, bye bye.' When I turned around they were all staring at me again.

'I love you too? I LOVE YOU TOO?' Harper yelled.

'What have you been up to in the last 24 hours.' Callum told me. I just laughed awkwardly.

'I need to go and sleep. I'm exhausted.' I gently put a collar around Freya.

'I bet you are.' Harper looked at me and winked. I rolled my eyes and went back home. I didn't feel like doing anything so I just went to bed. I closed my eyes and thought of Dieter's lips on mine. I fell asleep quickly.

I woke because my alarm had gone off on my phone. It was Saturday. Margie wanted me and River to get to work early to change the drinks around and add or take away recipes. It wasn't a working day so I went in jeans and a patterned t-shirt with sneakers. I put my hair in a half up-half down style. I walked to the bar. River was in his casual clothes. He had a red tank top on which showed his huge tattooed biceps and black shorts. His big leg muscles were also tattooed. He was also was wearing silver rounded glasses at the end of his nose which I was surprised about because it gave a gentle touch to the huge hunk. He was washing some cups.

'I didn't know you had glasses?' I came up to him.

'Yeah, I usually wear contacts but one of them got torn this morning.' he dried his hands off from the soapy water and leaned on the bar on his elbow. I grabbed a tea towel and started to dry the cups.

'I also didn't know you had so many tattoos.' I smiled.

'Yeah, believe it or not only one of them is a drunk tattoo.' He laughed.

'Oh yeah, which one is that?' I giggled.

'It's the superman logo...' He said awkwardly. He pulled down on the neckline of his top and revealed the superman logo on his chest, just where it is on superman's suit. I burst out laughing. He rolled his eyes but smiled. Then Margie came around the corner.

'Hello lovelies, how are we today?' She asked.

'Great, thanks.' River said, releasing his top from his grasp.

'Fine, thank you. How are you?' I asked her.

'I'm okay, thank you dear. Have you got any new recipes for me to try and test my gorgeous bartenders.' She sat at a bar stool.

'No, not today Margie.' River answered helping me dry the pots.

'What about you Arabelle, dear.' She looked as me behind her thick glasses.

'Uh...I have this one drink, it's from back home and my personal favourite.' I smiled.

'Ooo! Make it for me, darling.' She rubbed her hands together. I laughed and made her the drink. I saw River watching me. I poured the liquids into the shaker and threw it up in the air a bit. I grabbed a glass and poured it in. I added some fruits as decoration on the edge of the glass a handed it to Margie. River flipped the towel over his shoulder and joined us at the bar. Margie took a sip. She smacked her lips gently.

'Wonderful! I love it. Add it to the specials or menu or whatever.' Then she went off, back around the corner. River took a sip of the drink.

'Great! Teach me how to make it.' River grabbed a shaker. 'and tell me everything that happened yesterday.' he added with a smile.
