Chapter 17 - Morning!- Dieter's Perspective

I woke up with Arabelle in my arms. She was smiling and sound asleep. She was only in her underwear but she looked incredible. Callum came out of the bathroom. I liked Callum. I trusted him and considered him my friend. He always lightened the mood. He obviously just had a shower, he was wearing a towel around his waist and was drying his hair with a smaller towel. Callum had a chiseled body and there was water droplets running down him. He still had his fine chain earings in, one was longer the the other. You could tell he was the brother of this beautiful girl in my arms.

'Good Morning.' I yawned. He almost jumped out of his skin.

'Jesus Dieter! You gave me a heart attack!' He looked at me.

'Sorry!' I said.

'Hey, do you know where Arabelle keeps my old clothes?' he asked.

'Yeah, there.' I pointed to a box. He pulled out some black shorts and a white t-shirt with the band logo of 'Queen' printed on the front. He scrambled into the bathroom to change. As I was alone, I started to think about Arabelle. I really liked this girl. She gave me butterflies whenever I saw her or heard her voice. I didn't want anyone else to have her. That sounded very selfish but frankly I didn't care. I was head over heels for her and I was falling...hard. I wanted her to be mine, I wanted to call her my girlfriend. My train of thought was interrupted by Callum bursting through the bathroom door, backwards. He had his shorts on but his t-shirt was still in his hand. He tripped over Freya's tail which woke her up with a yelp and made him fall on his backside. He turned to look at me, still on the floor.

'Spider!' he looked at me almost in tears. I was almost in tears laughing.

'Oh? Is my suffering amusing to you.' he said. I got out of bed put on the grey joggers and went into the bathroom.

'It's next to the sink!' he called after me and started to get up. I cupped the spider in my hands and put in out on the balcony. Callum was fully dressed and in the kitchen grabbing some pans to make breakfast.

'Need any help?' I offered.

'Yeah just juice the oranges in that jar.' he pointed to a bag of oranges and a jar. I started my job and Callum started cooking bacon.

'So you and Belle, huh?' he said after a while. I blushed and said nothing. He left his pan and sat in front of me at the breakfast bar. He looked at me and smiled his mischievous smile. I glanced up, blushed, and looked back down at the oranges again. He chuckled.

'You obviously like her, don't you?' he smiled more.

'If I tell you, you keep quiet and don't tell her.' I blushed harder. He laughed.

'I'm her older brother by 6 minutes, I don't have to tell her shit.' he takes a bite out of an apple. 'Spill.' he says with a mouthful of fruit. I sighed.

'I really like her Cal, I want her. I was thinking of popping the question soon.'

'Marriage!?' He looking at me eyes wide.

'What? No! To be my girlfriend.' I blush.

'Oh, you scared me for a second there my guy. How are you gonna ask her?' he says, apple in hand and heading back to the bacon.

'Uhh...taking her out for a dinner at a nice restur-.'

'No.' he interrupts.

'What?' I asked, confused.

'No.' he says again. He chucks his apple core in the bin, flips the bacon and heads back to where he was sitting. 'Look, Arabelle isn't that fancy kinda a girl she wouldn't like that.' He said, running his hands through his hair.

'Well...what do you suggest?' I said sounding a little desperate. He looks at me, he doesn't speak at first. He's deep in thought. Not thinking about the perfect date, thinking about whether I'm worthy to date his sister. He sighs.

'Take her in a pick up truck to a place thats good looking, y'know sunsets and stuff. Bring a bunch of blankets, pillows, put them in the back, and don't forget about snacks, chocolate, cheetos, crackers, anything thats not healthy really. When you get there you sit with her in the pillow bit, at the back, watching a sunset, all snuggled together. Then pop the question.' he gets up without another word and heads to his pan. 'She told me that if a guy was gonna take her on a date, it wouldn't be a restaurant.' he adds. A couple of silent seconds later he asks.

'You scared?' with a grin.

'Almost as scared as you are with spiders.' I laugh. He looks at me open mouthed and trying not to laugh.

'Do you know how many eyes and legs those things have?' he says.

'No.' I'm stopping myself from bursting out in tears of laughter.

'Too many!' he shouts, we both are laughing our guts out at this point.

I had just finished juicing the oranges when a gorgeous voice behind me said.

'Morning!'

Callum said hello not looking up from the pan. He was cooking eggs now. I said morning and turned around. She was wearing the same shirt I had on last night. It was the best she's ever looked and the best part was she didn't even realise it wasn't hers. Then she went to go wake Harper and River up. She was clearly tired so she didn't care how she did it. Then they found out about the whole kiss thing. Arabelle spit her juice out everywhere. Me and Callum were already in a giddy mood so that made us burst out laughing. Arabelle and I finished our breakfast when Harper and River tucked into theirs. Callum filled them in on the events of last night while we went and sat down. We were snuggled up on the sofa and she let me rest my head on her knee. She stroked my hair which felt great but made me more sleepy. So I ended up falling asleep.

When I woke up, I was still in Arabelle's lap and she was still playing with my hair. Everyone else had gone and she was flicking through channels on the telly. I knew this was the time to ask her on the date. I stretched and yawned. She stroked my face and turned off the telly.

'Have a nice nap?' She said happily. I smiled at her and nodded. I sat up and gave her a peck on the cheek.

'Where's everyone gone?' I asked, groggily.

'Home.' she giggled. I shuffled closer to her and pulled her for a hug. She hugged me back and I could have stayed there forever. When we parted, I kissed her on the lips. She smiled.

'You're full of happiness.' she said with another giggle. I pulled her in, her head lay on my chest. This was it!

'Can I take you out tomorrow night?' I asked, my cheeks were bright red. She lifted her head up and looked at me.

'Sure!' she smiled.
