Harper and Callum went home. I was saying goodbye to River.
'Thank you so much, for everything.' he said when we were hugging.
'Hey, anytime.' I said ' See you tomorrow?' Our next shift was then.
'Byee' he said as he left.
'And then there were two' I turned to Dieter clothes that he wore to the water park freshly washed. I put them in a little paper bag. Dieter was in the bathroom. Suddenly I felt something wrap around my waist the I was lifted up into the air. Dieter was holding me up.
'Hello.' I said with a giggle and wrapped my legs around his waist.
'You are wonderful.' he hugged me. ' I'm going to miss you.' He whispered with his lips touching my ear. That gave me the shivers. I hugged him tighter with my arms around his neck. I lifted my head up and he put me back down. He held my chin with his thumb and index finger then kissed me on my lips. I could have stayed there forever. When we parted, I said 'You have to go, people will think your missing.' My hands were resting on his chest. We were at the door already. He grabbed his clothes gave me a peck on the cheek then left.
I got dressed into some jeans and a mesh sort of shirt. I took a walk.
On my walk, I passed the Animal Sanctuary. I decided to take a look at the animals up for adoption. I was walking down the little lane and saw a beautiful dog. I looked at the little clip bored and it said she was a 3 year old dog. She was a cross breed between a German Shepherd and a Husky. She was the shape, size and had the fur cut of a German Shepherd but the colouring of a Husky with white fur and one blue eye, one brown eye. The price was a lot cheaper then I expected. A worker came up to me.
'Gorgeous. Isn't she.' she said.
'Very.' I really liked this dog and she was looking at me her eyes full of hope. I sighed.
'I'll take her.' I said. The workers face lit up.
'Right come this way for the paperwork.'
What the hell was I doing. I don't know but the dog was too beautiful not to take her. I filled in everything and the last thing I had to do was pick a name. I picked Freya. I always liked that name.
The worker took her out of her pen and Freya walked up to me. The worker gave me a leash.
I got to the apartment and instead of going in mine, I knocked on Harper's door. She answered.
'We're going shopping.' I said.
'Why?' she was exited. I pulled Freya closer. 'You bought a dog!' she screamed.
