After their luscious dinner, Nanna was told to rest. An old servant led her to her room. It was located at the second floor along the young masters' rooms. She was puzzled about this arrangement. The servant noticed it and smiled, "It's not uncommon in the mansion."
"Why is that so? I can almost understand how things work here but I don't think my room should be on the second floor" Nanna said as she tried to make sense about it. She wasn't complaining but she just thought it was uncommon.
"It's because you are an omega" the servant informed her. "You are one of the few omegas that work here in the mansion and to avoid having problems when an omega goes in heat the young master Leon thought that it would be better for omegas' rooms to be in the second floor where they could immediately help them."
"Oh, ok that make sense now. Wait you said there are other omegas who are working here. How many are there?" she was curious hoping to talk with them about her biological role or secondary gender. She was able to know about it through books but information from those who had experience was far better.
"Hm~" the servant thought before he spoke "There's young master Rem, Lila and Clause. You can talk to Lila and Clause tomorrow and regarding young master Rem I believe he will talk to you soon" he said as they arrived at Nanna's room.
The servant gave her the key to the room and told her that she should wake up tomorrow once the second bell of the town has rung that's when the work starts. Nanna bowed and thanked him keeping in mind the things that the old servant said. She opened the door after the servant left her.
Nanna walked in the room along with her things. The room was spacious consisting of a bed, enough for two or three people. A long and wide cabinet can be seen at the corner of the room beside it was a table and a mirror. A window, much like the ones at the great hall but much smaller was located on the left side of the bed.
She placed her things on the foot of the bed before flopping down on it. Feeling the soft fabric on her skin, Nanna slowly drifted to sleep. These fast few days were really tiring for her and now facing a very comfortable bed she can no longer fight herself and just let sleepiness took over.
-----
"I've already asked someone to fetch Isaac tomorrow and take a look at her before she does some work in the mansion" Leon said as he slipped in the blanket lying beside Rem who was engrossed in reading but did not forget to respond to him.
"Don't worry, it's not like it's our first time having a worker who is an omega" Rem said placing his book down on the side table before snuggling Leon.
"I know but somehow Nanna feels like she is different from Lila and Clause. I just can't pinpoint what it is" he played with Rem's hair.
"Hmm, whatever it is, we will yet to see but for now let us make do on what is in front of us" he said kissing Leon's lips before closing his eyes drifting off still snuggled on Leon.
Leon kissed back before he too drift off to dreamland.
-The next day-
Nanna woke up after the second bell on the village had rung. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes while getting up and making her bed. She fixed herself and changed to her day clothes.
As she was closing her door someone greeted her. "Good morning~" A soft serene voice greeted her. When Nanna looked where it came from, she saw a young girl smiling at her. Nanna greeted back, "Good morning! I'm Nanna I came yesterday", she extended her hand.
The girl smiled even more taking Nanna's hand, "Nice to meet you. My name is Lila Basili, let us get along well." Nanna was taken aback on how energetic Lila was despite her being soft spoken. She smiled back and shook Lila's hands.
"Are you heading to the great hall too?" Lila asked her as they made their way down.
"Yeah, I was told to wake up after the second bell has rung."
Lila nodded in understanding, "Oh, then let's go there together. After breakfast you will be assigned your work, good luck with it I hope you get assigned on my area in that way I can help you get accustomed"
Nanna smiled glad that Lila was very friendly, "Yeah, I hope so too."
They both arrived at the great hall which was packed with people both betas and omegas as well as some alphas.
"Come don't be afraid they are all very kind and friendly" Lila said as she pulled Nanna going inside the hall.
Nanna was a bit reluctant but being pulled inside, she really didn't had much choice. She followed Lila as she led her to the platform. She reached for a fork and a glass hitting them together lightly as she tried to get everyone's attention.
After getting everyone's attention, she spoke excitedly but softly, "Everyone" she pulled Nanna to come in front, "This is Nanna. A new addition in our mansion. Let us all welcome her warmly and help her get accustomed on the life her in the mansion"
Nanna bowed as she got pulled to the front thanking everyone as they welcomed her warmly. "Now, let's eat and find Clause" Lila said leading Nanna to get some food.
Lila led Nanna as she scanned the hall for the person she was looking for. She pulled Nanna once again after spotting the one she was looking for. She tapped a boy's shoulder, "Good morning Clause" the boy lifted his head and looked at them. He was somewhat frowning looking a bit annoyed from the disturbance but soon her frown was replaced by a small smile as she looked at Lila.
"This is Nanna. She is also an omega" she said as she ushered Nanna to sit down beside her.
"Hm, what it's got to do with me?" He said not caring on what Lila said and just turned back to his food.
"Clause don't be rude. She is going to work her from now on and she just learned that she is an omega so we have to help and guide her" Lila said trying to explain to Clause "Plus, we can be her first friends here and if young master Rem heard you he will be surely get angry at you"
Clause flinched hearing Rem's name. He glared at Lila, "I don't care." He looked at Nanna, "Good luck with your work here and don't cause any trouble", he said without a care and stood up, "I gave her an advice that's all the help she can ask from me."
Lila sighed, "This kid" she said shaking her head then turning to Nanna smiling apologetically, "I'm sorry about his attitude. He isn't usually like that only to those he doesn't know yet but in time he will be friendlier."
Nanna nodded understanding Lila. She was just stunned on how hostile Clause was.
Seeing Nanna was deep in thought, Lila patted her back reassuring her, "Don't think much of it. Clause had gone through a lot that's why he was like that especially to strangers. The only one who he really trust is young master Rem" her smile gave a hint of sadness for a moment but it quickly disappeared.
She looked at Nanna urged her to eat more and a bit quickly as they needed to report to Ms. Langrin to get their chores for the day.
They both quickly finished up and made their way to the courtyard. Ms. Langrin was already there with most of the servants. She was giving them their chores for the day.
The two approached her after everyone left.
"Ms. Langrin good morning" Lila greeted her enthusiastically hoping she won't get scolded for being late. Nanna followed Lila's example greeting the woman.
