Folke carried his two prisoners in the direction of the village, he eventually reached the village outskirts. He took a hidden spot near the village entrance occasionally checking up on his tied and gag prisoners and knocking them out with swift punches if they woke up. Which they didn't.
After the recent battle there were men returning back to their village and it looked like a feast had been set up for them by their wives, daughters and potential love interests. Folke's heart ached as he saw an emotional reunion between a son and a mother both crying over his father who had died next to him.
He placed his hand over his mouth and leaned back against the tree he was next to. . . ` Steel yourself. . . You can do it. Just wait until they're all . . ` He couldn't finish his thought as images of the orphans he grew up with came to mind.
`Do I have to kill them too?` He thought of what he was about to do. The road to power for him was laid with grief and now this is his first obstacle should he kill everyone in his village to cover his past or simply go on and die.
Most heroic souls would choose to die a gruesome death rather than harm all of his 'friends'.
The word made him stop `Friends? What have they done for me?` He began to look over his memories with the village in particular. He was beaten by the strongest and to become stronger he became a lap dog for the strong.
His friends in particular did nothing to help him when he was being beaten most of them laughed as he was beaten by the twin stars of the village. He didn't touch these friends because he thought of the emotional connection with the orphanage but because of this he got his butt kicked countless times.
Each time he did this his friends ran away and didn't even bother to come and say a simple thank you. One situation in particular got his blood boiling. He had refused to beat a girl in the village because she refused to go with the twin stars. He got punched in the gut falling to the ground and the girl was asked to carry on beating him. She did so with no hesitation at all and it was because she was a loyal dog who only acted the part to test his loyalty to the two.
The people who took care of him were long dead by now, so he simply didn't have any more reservation in the village he cared for. He was a dog with no family and he was scared he might've been killed if he disobeyed longer. So he soon began to play the role of being a loyal dog only connected to the two bullies who he despised.
His hand clenched into the fist and pulled his prisoners further into the wood as a slight detour to reach his own little shack that he had built so he could escape the rain and cold, as no one took him into their houses when he reached the age of fifteen. He was now eighteen so the shack looked a little reasonable and nice.
He was a good craftsmen apprentice as his side job, but his master was quite mean and nasty to the boy whenever he made mistakes. At one time in particular the master just was not in a good mood and the boy had to mess up on a piece of wood.
So he took him outside and beat him with an extremely dull shortsword that's sole purpose was meant to just injure Folke in the most excruciating way possible. The master 'was also careful not to cripple' the youngmen with the sword only giving him bruises that left him unconscious and in constant pain for half the year.
He placed a slab of wood to lock the shack from the outside. He then turned around facing the village and decided it would be a better option for him to wait for them to be done with the feast and then attack the drunken idiots in their slumber.
