The school ended, and unlike the usual routine of spending time with the group to study for the midterm exams, I returned home early. I had a lot of things to do and take care of. But to do so, I need the most important thing,
"MONEY"
"I'm back", I called when I entered the house.
My father is most likely still in the courthouse. He's been quite busy lately due to the increasing number of cases coming into the courthouse. The rising caseload demands more of his time and attention as he works to ensure that each case is handled fairly and efficiently.
Diana was at home for she works remotely from home, her job is very flexible and pays her handsomely. She has a master degree in computer science and works as software development, where she designs, build, and maintain software systems or applications. She's very good with computers and love her job.
While Faith is the total opposite to her, she hates anything to do with computers, and web, while love the health field. She's a registered nurse, and works with NGOs. However, she continued her studies and become Dr physiotherapy, and opened her own clinic with her sport coach friend, and thankfully she was doing great. She was my doctor during my rehabilitation. And thanks to her, my physical strength is much better than before. I even start learning again fighting skills.
I on the other hand is a combination of the two. I do love biology and think of specializing in therapeutic nutrition; however, I love computers. To the point I can't stay away from them. I had a gift ever since I was young. It felt like the computers talk to me, I could understand every part every tiny detail about them, when I was 12, Diana was 22, she was studying programming language: Java, python, C++, etc.. I start paying attention to her and I found myself falling in love with them, when she was applying them to the computer and was creating a new website, I start telling her what to write and the right sequence codes. She was shocked but let me do it, and I had it all correct.
She then took me to her professor in the college and told him what happened. Professor David, was in his early 30's, he gave me a task and explained briefly some algorithms, when I did it in less than 2 minutes, he was astonished of my abilities. He discussed with my sister that I'm called a genius and if the dean and the higher ups in the college knew, they'll die to take me in and groom me into a computer expert, and that I'll have a great future ahead of me.
My sister was stunned, but she didn't feel jealousy or envy, but I still remember the look of pride she gave me when the professor was praising me. Ever since my parents divorced when I was 9, she was the one who raised me with Faith. She was like my second mom.
However, she was still skeptical of getting me into this world when I'm still young. So, she refused, the professor understood her, so he asked to meet me once a week to help me develop my abilities.
She was hesitating, but I insisted on her to agree, for I liked what the professor taught me. I told her ever since I was young I felt the computers talking to me though I couldn't reply, but when I studied with her, and now when professor David explained few things to me, I could finally understand and talk back to the computers.
Both of them were taken aback with my explanation, however, they agreed to do so. since then I start taking lessons from both her and the professor.
When we returned home, she discussed the matter with father, and both agreed that her decision was the best, and now I'm indeed thankful for her decision. For now, I'm freer to do whatever I want without anyone knowing or objecting my actions.
Later on she registered me in computer programming and cybersecurity workshops to help enhance and cultivate my skills.
Though at 14 I dropped out of the workshops, since I wasn't in need to them anymore, their level wasn't enough for me anymore. I continued interacting and conversing with the professor throughout the years, for he helped me a lot, however, I continued my studies online. Venturing into the world of web and network, navigating through protocols, systems, servers, and hypertexts. Discovering a new and different world.
And that world become my reality. It was like wine, once you tasted you can't get enough of it.
At 15, I made a name for me in that world, and "DarkRune" dominated every white, grey, and dark web.
There's no platform, field, company, even governments, that haven't heard of me.
As I said before, if you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.
I started by hacking small systems and websites, and the easy it was the bigger the target become. From hacking school website, I moved into hacking social media accounts, email accounts, databases, financial accounts, IoT devices, cloud services, personal devices, networks, wifi, corporate networks, credit card information, online services, medical systems and lastly but not least….
"Government systems".

Okay maybe I went overboard, but when I realized my addiction, it was already too late…. Not that I regret anything.
Though I didn't steal anything….. Maybe few things, but it won't cause a nuclear war you know!!!
And after that, I start accepting job posts and illicit job listings in the white/grey/ dark webs. And I earned quite a lot, let's say my net worth was close to half a million dollars.
Though my family is unaware of that.
Diana is aware that I start hacking, after all the first time I hacked a system it was with her, she encouraged but warned me not to get involved into any bad stuff....hopefully she'd never knew what I did... Ignorance is bliss.
If my father knew, he would have a heart attack, because he can't believe his little princess is capable of doing…. Illegal stuff??
Hey, I didn't take jobs that's related to human and drug trafficking!! I even exposed a lot of dirty transactions regarding these stuff and helped several countries in catching criminals involved, which pretty much made me a target for several mobs and dark organizations, even some governments, for exposing political figures for their involvement in these disgusting things.
However, many still reach for me to help them solve some cases, and catching a criminal or helping them stop a drug or human trafficking.
Why refuse when the payment is never lower than 70,000 $??
Who says no to money? Unless they have a serious brain damage…
