Since the day they were abducted, Gab and Luke became really good friends. Who would have thought that the cat and dog relationship before could turn out to be like a very good friends in the end. Who would have believed that a spoiled brat who only thought about himself, who only cares what he wants, who never opens up himself to other people would suddenly learn how to be a nice person and how to smile.
From then on, every morning they were both excited to wake up—to see the sunrise especially Luke whom before thought that mornings were just a passing day for him. He even sings when taking a bath.
"La…la…la…la…la" were heard upstairs. Even the Master Pete was so shocked with this sudden transformation on the young master, but all of them was grateful for this change.
Luke started not to raise his voice when asking for other's help. He learns how to say "Thank you" even to the smallest gestures and say "Sorry" as well for the smallest mistakes he has done. He learns how to be patient in waiting and being persistent when something goes out of his way. He knew when to speak his comments and when to listen to other's opinion.
At breakfast, lunch and dinner, he enjoys eating at their long dining table together with Gab. With all the food set on the table, he takes the lead in praying. A quite dining before were replaced with a conversant banquet—full of laughter, smiles and joys.
Every morning, together with Gab, they watered the plants in the garden. They were singing and talking to the plants. Then suddenly they were throwing water on each other until they became soaked. Afterwards, a scold by Master Pete makes them laugh even more.
During home lectures, he was listening attentively. He asked questions and interacts with their tutor. After class, he immediately finishes his assign tasks in the library. He was even teaching her some of their lessons. When Gab suddenly falls asleep, Luke was secretly smiling and staring at her closely.
Sometimes, they enjoyed visiting the Perez' strawberry plantation just within the area of the Perez's residence. They love strawberry picking a lot and eat them afterwards. Occasionally, Gab takes Luke for a walk in the park and pond within the vicinity of the mansion witnessing the sunset and at times, seeing the stars at night.
Luke freely attended all his medical appointment and check-up. He never complains and follow all the precautions set by his doctor. It seems like he has a new reason to live and founds hope in getting better.
From then on, Luke started to paint again. He expresses his feelings and emotions through his paintings. And his paintings were just one of the proof that a young love is about to spring.
They were really happy as if they were the only ones living in the world. They enjoyed each other's company. They talked even the little things that happens every day. A dark face before suddenly shines brightly. An angry and lonely young boy slowly learns how to smile and how to laugh—how to live life happily with a grateful heart.
Even Madam Olivia is a witness to this sudden change. She was satisfied with her decision in taking Gab in their family. Though she doesn't show love and affection especially to Luke, but deep inside she has always have this mother's instinct and love. All the decisions she made were all for the welfare of Luke although it may look like she's the wicked stepmother who always plans of evil things. She might not be Luke's biological mother but she has raised him from her heart. She's not really the showy type of person.
The Perez's mansion finally became a home. Truly, light finds its way. Love was all around. Indeed, there is no such thing as hard as a rock when touch by love. And not just any kind of love, but a love like what the green roses symbolize—eternal love. A kind of love that will surely be tested through every seasons in life.
