"Good morning." Ingrid greeted his father with no sense of feeling of a typical father-daughter relationship. "Let's get straight to the point. So, what's your decision?"
Lolo Ben breathe deeply and speak. "I'm so sorry Ingrid but I cannot give you what you want. I will not give up Gab nor this house and the farm. And I think, I can give Gab a better life than you. I've made a biggest mistake before—when I just let you go and look what happen now. I won't do the same mistake again. Not this time."
"What?" "I cannot believe you." Ingrid was so angry and disappointed.
"Fine." "But this is not over father. This is not the end. I'll make sure you surrender Gab to me at any cost." Ingrid angrily speak as she went out of the house.
Lolo Ben felt relieved but not so long after a representative from a bank came and reminding him of his loan. He felt pressured looking all the papers as well the other bills that is all due this month. Gab overheard everything. She never thought her grandfather is facing a serious problem. Knowing her character, she never sits on the chair while someone needs a help. She immediately called her Aunt. Ingrid tells her everything. She can't believe everything depends on her. Then she made a decision.
At Dinner.
"Lolo?" Gab said.
"Yes." Lolo ben answered.
"I think it would be best to just go with Aunt Ingrid." Gab speaks sadly. "If that's what she wants and if that's the only way to save this house and the farm, I'll just leave."
"What?" "No." "You don't need to do this. You don't have to." Lolo Ben explains.
"But, Lolo. What about the farm, the people working for us—this is their life, what about them?"
Lolo Ben didn't agree with Gab's decision. Gab feels a little disappointment since she only wanted to help. At night, she can't sleep. Then suddenly she made up her mind. She left without saying a goodbye personally and just left a letter to his grandfather. She kissed her while crying silently. "Goodbye, Lolo."
In the morning, Lolo Ben saw the letter and immediately rush to Ingrid's place.
Meanwhile, Ingrid was so happy seeing her niece.
"You made the right decision my dear." Ingrid added while Gab remain silent.
They were already preparing to leave and packing thing into the car. Gab looked so sad.
"Get in the car, Gab." Ingrid commanded. "We have to leave immediately."
They were about to leave when she saw her Lolo rushing towards her together with her dog.
Lolo Ben settled his breathing first. "Gab? Gab, let's go home, okay?" "You don't have to do this. Like I said before, leave this things to me. You're young enough to do this things. Isn't it I'm your super Lolo? I will look for a way so that they cannot take away our house as well as the farm.
Gabe never answered. She holds back her tears. Then Lolo Ben hugs her tight crying. Then Ingrid came.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came for Gab. I'm taking her home." Lolo Ben strongly uttered.
"No!" "You're not taking her back." "Are you not proud of her—of taking all the responsibilities at a young age?" Ingrid said.
"That's why I'm here—I'm taking all the responsibilities. I'm taking her home." Lolo Ben expressed.
"No."
"I will."
"No."
"I will."
"Stop it." Gab shouted. "I'm sorry Lolo but I've already made up my mind and besides, this is not forever. I will be back after I finished college. I promise I will be back soon. I will contact you every day, okay?" Gab explained.
Ingrid takes Gab. "Let's go. We'll be late for our flight."
As the car droves far away, Gab shouted to her Lolo Ben. "Goodbye Lolo! I will call you. I promised. I love you."
Lolo Ben was left crying. He was so sadden with the situation. He couldn't think things will end like this. While Ingrid smirk with the feeling of victory. But the question is, what's the reason behind all her scheme? What's her real motive of taking Gab? Is it purely out of concern as her aunt? Or does it have to do with greediness for wealth and fame?
