Vayve was back in the academy.
His vacation was mostly in his home, so there weren't many more important events happening... The days were spent on training and even his father shared some of his battle experience with Yuna and Vayve.
It was a good vacation where even a new abilities were born.
Nothing more could be asked here.
Even a trip to an academy was a smooth one, so Vayve had only one thing to actually detest which was crystal. The crystal was assaulting his mind more as if it could feel his sadness. He was sad, but what can he do?
A chaotic world is too chaotic.
If a situation allows Vayve to probe more into it, then he shall do it. His MC Plot Armor was surely the reason for that small connection to appear, so it will be the best to just peek it at, then decide more.
A connections like such should be investigated.
That's what Vayve decided. He had saved many 'children' from Cerze's camp, but there was not even a connection made after that, so due to that event, Vayve had formed a little plans and stood up from the bed.
Since he decided to go for the man-made dungeon while sixteen to get the most out of it, Vayve could only raise his powers. He decided to train his abilities more and even learn a little more about poisons.
When he told Miss Hana about that, she decided to share more with him.
"Every teacher had put something there including myself."
"Oh!"
"There is a powerful poison land here. I have hidden the mutated egg here as well... The latter's status in unknown, but for a poison land, you can use it for your own defense."
Miss Hana briefly told Vayve about that, then he had to ask for more. It was because Yuna is going with him, so Vayve began learning about poison and its antidotes. It was very similar to an alchemy where Vayve had to mix and extract few things from blood, scales and even snake's salivas.
There were other beast's parts that were quite tough to deal with.
But Vayve was increasing his wisdom and more grades began to appear on his student's list.. He was getting a very nice basic of a poison magic which allowed him to use scrolls made by Miss Hana even more easier and effectively.
It was a high sensitivity to magic from his plot armor.
"Vayve, you should report your grades for the principal."
Two months passed like that with constant training, then Vayve got a reason to visit the academy's main grounds. It was not to meet Yuna, but to report his grades... However, is it really his job?
"Shouldn't it be done by you, teacher?"
"I don't feel like leaving my house."
"..."
And so Vayve went outside.
He was going towards the main grounds with a carefree attitude, but then his heart clenched. This kind of emotion was honed everyday as snakes were constantly showering Vayve with their hidden intent.
It means that someone just let out a shallow killing intent to check on him.
It was during his walk in an open area where there weren't many people. The house of his toucher was pretty far away after all. This was kinda dangerous location, but Vayve clenched his hands clad in black gloves, then focused deeply.
Shu!
Then a small magic bolt flew from a side. Such sneaky attack got perfectly read on by Vayve and thanks to his coin toss, Vayve managed to stop it before it reached his body! A small explosion rang out in the air.
When Vayve's eyes turned to that, he could see a silver-white streaks dispersing.
His coin got eaten by those.
Then, a few more sneaky magic bolts got sent towards him. It wasn't that hard to dodge those, but Vayve was only able to completely read their trajectory due to a killing intent of an enemy helping him.
It was truly like a help.
Vayve believed that he is getting tested right now!
His head was looking around desperately, but the sight of an unknown person hadn't entered his eyes. Instead a laughing voice slowly flew to his ears. It was yet again carried by a magic, and once it got stacked within his head, the voice just continued to echo throughout Vayve's mind. It completely threw him out from his flow and lowered his defenses.
It was pretty much hard to focus right now.
"Haha~~ I am here, young man."
But the voice was echoing through his mind, so Vayve couldn't pin-point the location of an enemy. It was pretty old voice though and unlike a killing intent of magic bolts, this voice was sounding rather mild.
Only when this voice disappeard, Vayve could raise his head to see an old teacher standing on the air itself.
There were a few formations behind his feet, but those were hard to notice as they were transparent.
He was using a wind magic and his magic bolts carried that element.
"I have been a teacher of your mother when she used to attend an academy..."
Though he was old, his appearance was not really that old. Vayve could match it with an appearance his mother had told. When she heard that his teacher was different, Miss Ranria just asked if Vayve is satisfied with that teacher.
Once Vayve agreed, Miss Ranria stopped asking about the academy during Vayve's vacation. Vacations are meant to be enjoyed, so the academy's topics got quickly shoved aside.
"Since you are fine with Hana, then so be it. I already saw you fighting with the beasts from dark forest."
"I see, so this was really a test..."
"It was a test. But in our lands, the beasts are the most dangerous living beings."
"..."
"It's humans. You should get more experience by fighting with other mages and knights, Vayve. Why haven't you stepped into our man-made lands?"
"I plan to do it later to reap the most out of it."
"Hoh... Is that so? Then, how about you spent some time with me? I have a strong student that is actually taking all the the best stuff from my class. You are exactly a student she needs to face now."
"That's... fine. But not for too long."
"Sure."
Vayve then flew for the first time in his life which was a very enjoyable experience. It was controlled by a teacher, but still was enjoyable and fun. A small desire to learn more of that wind magic had been born during that trip.
And a new teacher will make Vayve's wish become a reality, but only a little.
